Careem Arvostelua 

Careem is great for taxis, but their Careem Pay remittance feature caused me a lot of stress. Sent money to Pakistan, app marked it "Completed", but the receiver got nothing. It was stuck in a partner exchange house suspense account for a week.

Careem support agents have zero visibility and just tell you to keep waiting. In the UAE, you don't have to wait forever. I used Paymentcasefile.com to automatically draft a formal bank trace request and a 15-day Sanadak escalation notice. The moment I sent that generated document to Careem citing UAE Central Bank rules, they immediately assigned a senior agent and found the UTR.

Only use their remittance service if you know how to escalate legally when things go wrong.

Still waiting over 3 weeks for the removal of a fee charged for journey i was not in country for.
Dishonest driver and incompetant service agents sending automatic replies, meanwhile I cannot use the service.
Worst customer service I have ever encountered

At a time in Dubai when we are scared and it’s Ramadan, Careem is taking advantage of this awful situation. Where is humanity??? When you order food, it says 20-30 mins delivery… 2 hours later nothing. I called them- no answer. I called the restaurant- couldn’t understand me. Told me to speak to Careem. I called the delivery guy, poor guy has no gps. It’s not his fault 20 mins promise became 2 hours!!!! It’s Ramadan!!! This is the 4th time this has happened and I ended up paying and telling the driver eat the meal. UAE and Careem and this whole country is corrupt. Say from the beginning when ordering food… it will take 2 hours. But no they want your money, don’t answer the phone and give nonsensical reasons. Shame on you Careem. Shame on you UAE.

Very bad customer service and late delivery I had 3 bad experience

Awful customer service. Thiefs and manipulation. They make you doubt yourself. Overcharged for a trip i havent took.

Careem Plus has been extremely disappointing. Customer support appears almost nonexistent. Every time I raise an issue, I receive the same standard reply that clearly shows no one has actually read or understood the problem.

On several occasions I received groceries that were not usable — for example yogurt containers that were swollen and spoiled with a bad smell. Despite reporting this immediately, no reimbursement was offered. The same happened when wrong items were delivered.

I was also charged for a monthly subscription that I never requested, and when I contacted support, the response was again a generic message with no real investigation.

In another case, a cashback promotion advertised in the app was not applied even though all the stated requirements were fully met. Customer support simply dismissed the issue.

Overall, the service quality and customer care are very poor. Problems are ignored and responses feel automated and dismissive rather than helpful. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Careem Plus.

Terrible. I’ve left my camera on the back seat and contacted customer service when I’ve realised literally seconds after drop off. It took them a day to get back to me saying the driver told them it’s not there. I’ve been even doing a video from the car, before drop off. It seems I won’t get any compensation or refund at least. Terrible app and customer service. Avoid!

Bought a Starbucks drink, it’s was spilled upon arrival and after providing evidence no refund or new drink was sent.

Very poor customer service

The most awful customer service. Food delivery arrived without following instruction on removing hot sauce and all food was cold. No response from customer service even though attempted several times for a response. Stick to Talabat, far better ok delivery and after service etc

I was wrongly charged and raised a refund request. After their investigation, they confirmed the amount would be refunded but I still haven’t received it.
Very disappointing experience. Customer service gives assurances but doesn’t follow through. Feels misleading and unprofessional. Would not recommend.

This is realy a joke i booked a taxi and when i arrived the taxi driver did not tell me that its already paid on my card registered with careem and made me pay again. I spoke to the help desk and they literally told me theres nothing they can do . So drivers are getting away with stealing and nothing is being done about it. Well never again. Thank you so much for the terrible service.

I booked a taxi from DFC to Deira City Center and the taxi driver Khairul Basar reaches to a different location starts the ride and ends in 2 minutes, charging me AED 14plus, surprising is the taxi didnt even picked me and when i called the driver he disconnects the call and calls back after a minutes asking where are you. And when i requested to pick from my location, this tax driver in a very rude tone disrespects me and disconnects the call

This is how CAREEM is hiring their taxi drivers to disrespect the customers

L appli en elle même est très bien faite, le soucis est que careem est quasi inutilisable. Souvent les chauffeurs n ont pas de gps sur leur téléphone et ne vous localisent pas ...
Mais le pire c est que les tarifs ne sont jamais respectés ou presque, les chauffeurs tentant de gonfler les prix dès qu'ils voient un touriste. En 10 tentatives, j ai réussi à utiliser careem une fois en Egypte...
Donc bien mais pas fiable du tout !

If I could score ZERO stars I would. Absolutely ripped off. Estimate 55 aed, charged 93 aed. No reason given and when questioned, just fobbed offed with BS. DONT USE!

I booked a box pick up and drop off service. (Captain Ali Haider) No one collected the package from me and the app showed collected and delivered. When I called customer service (Mehwish) they lied about the order being complete, could not provide me any pictures to prove they collected the package and kept lying more by saying we called and no one answered at the drop off point, so the Captain brought the package back to the pick up location!! Absolute cheaters. My building has security at the reception they have an entry exit log! Charged me 40 Dhs for nothing and not ready to accept their disastrous service standards. I had this conversation while holding the package and customer service confirmed package is dropped!! Jokers! Didn't even want to select one star. Beware!

& With Google map but DH 792 taxi driver took a very long cut and pretended that He is new driver.. Not familiar Dubai road and he only follows the pinned location.. But he follows the wrong way by purpose 😕

I booked because I have to catch the time but I ended up in a very traffic way and very long cut way😡😣

Aber: careem bietet für Touristen nur den Minutentarif an. D. h. jede gefahrene Minute wird abgerechnet. Vollkommen überteuert und echte Abzocke!!! Schade, weil der Canal und Jumeirah Cycling Track sind einfach klasse. Alternativen zu Careem gibt es nur eine (Wolfis). Da gibt es noch viel Potenzial.

I contacted the driver as i noticed within 2 minutes from leaving the taxi, I left a bag, he said that he would drop it off after his hire. Still waiting after 3 days. Muhamed has stolen my goods and is trying to extort me for more money, shame on his family, people like him are spoiling Dubai's reputation.

I ordered a Careem box and the driver never delivered my item. After a week of Careem investigating the matter, they decided that they would not issue me a refund or apology because the driver said the item was delivered. After contacting the store where the item was supposed to be collected from, they said the item was never even collected in the first place. So the driver stole my money and lied about collecting the item. Careem refused to investigate properly and also refused to refund the item. Awful service and dishonest drivers.
