Bed sheets were not changed, toilet was still dirty from previous guests, there was mold in the bathroom and we found hair in multiple places.

Online check-in that was required was way too complicated, including personal info like social security number and ID number (together with a  photo of ID). Despite filling out this form 2 weeks in advance and attaching a clearly visible photo of my ID, we did not receive any check-in information until 2 hours before check-in time. Keep in mind we are not from Vienna and so we travelled all the way here with no response from the property management, despite the fact that their contact hours are between 8AM and 12PM  We had to send our ID to a Whatsapp number and only after that received TRUE address (on the other side of the street) and check-in instructions. After entering the apartment and seeing its condition we contacted the responsible person through whatsapp contact that we were given in the checkin instructions. Even though they said they will send someone, no one showed up and we ended up calling booking customer service for assistance.

Took my money and didn't supply the apartment asked me to fill in fishy online form. Promised refund but didn't give it. Booked via VRBO who are also useless. Now what to we call people that steal your money? AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE

We booked an apartment through booking.com which is run/owned by camelOtels. It soon became apparent that something was amiss, they asked us to fill in a form via an unknown portal with sensitive information, we contacted booking.com explaining we were not happy with doing this. CamelOtels informed us that they were only available between the hours of 8-12??? So trying to get information etc from them was hard to say the least! We finally got the the apartment and realised it was not in the best of areas, the foyer was dirty and the lift out of order ( we ( the apartment was on the 6 floor!). At this point we decided to book somewhere else. We made a complaint through booking.com but camelOtels couldn't care less. Note: the rules are draconian and heavy fines , €50 for drying clothes on the balcony!) Avoid like the plague!

Leider eine sehr schlechte Erfahrung. Die Wohnung wies zahlreiche Mängel auf, und bei Problemen wurde zwar immer wieder versprochen, dass sich jemand kümmert, konkrete Lösungen blieben jedoch aus. Nachdem der Boiler ausgefallen war, hatte ich stundenlang kein Warmwasser, ohne einen verbindlichen Reparaturtermin zu erhalten. Ich würde bei diesem Anbieter nicht noch einmal buchen.

Alle Rezensionen entsprechen der Wahrheit, ich habe es eigenständig geprüft. Hier nochmal eine humoristische Version meiner Erfahrungen:
Geplant war ein einwöchiger Aufenthalt am Keplarplatz, geblieben bin ich keine einzige Nacht. Wer einen Survival artigen „Entkomm-der-Krätze“ Aufenthalt anstrebt ist hier mehr als bedient. Vorgefunden haben wir eine sehr authentische Banhofsatmosphäre, Asche, Zigaretten, muffig-schimmlig-verwesener Geruch. Auch die sporadisch, fehlende Ausstattung sprach für sich: aus den Wänden gerissenes Telefon und Fernseher, ca zwei Gabeln für 22 Menschen, eine unabgewaschene Pfanne, verdreckte Mikrowelle… alles ein ganz eigener Charme.
Wer öfter ausrutscht wird hier vielleicht glücklich: der Boden hatte ordentlich grip, kein ausrutschen mehr, höchstens kleben bleiben. Es gibt Wand-/ bzw Türdeko mit Löchern, Ascherückständen, Flecken die vermutlich auf Fäkalien zurück zu führen sind… der Boden hatte wie gesagt auch einige charakterstarke Eigenschaften wie zum Beispiel das fehlen ganze Stücke, ein ganzes Bad fehlte übrigens auch…für 22 Leute ein Bad…da kommt man sich sehr nah - auch schön.
Wer seine Reise mit einem ein bis zwei stündigen Check-in Prozess beginnen möchte ist hier mehr als aufgehoben. Alles in allem gleichte diese 5 stündige Erfahrung einer Art „Erkundung eines Lost places“ die in einem netten Gespräch mit Polizei endete. (Dieser war die Wohnung bereits bekannt). Nach einer Tortur an Anrufen und Nachrichten zwischen Gastgeber, Fewo- direkt und irgendwelchen anderen, anscheinend involvierten Personen bekamen wir unser komplettes Geld rückerstattet, nach dem ein Anwalt zur Sprache kam (ob das Geld wirklich da ist wissen wir noch nicht). Eventuell lag es einfach an unterschiedlichen Auffassungen von Standart, der Vermieter nannte alles obrige eine „geringe Reinigungsarbeit“. Wer ein ordentliches Abenteuer erleben möchte könnte hier fündig werden, sonst sind Ratten und weitere Bewohner dort sicher auch sehr glücklich. Unter diesen Umständen habt ihr euch den einen Stern mehr als verdient ⭐️

I had booked a Camelotels Kross Travel apartment in Vienna via Booking.com months in advance.

Several weeks before the planned trip, I contacted the supplier myself to confirm that everything was in order with the booking. Only then did Camelotels inform me in writing via WhatsApp that the booked apartment was not available, and I was asked to cancel the reservation myself.

This declaration of non-availability was never properly withdrawn. Instead, Camelotels repeatedly attempted to move communication away from the Booking.com platform and towards WhatsApp and external links.

Because the accommodation had explicitly been declared unavailable, I had to secure alternative accommodation in order to avoid the risk of arriving in Vienna without a place to stay.

Despite multiple requests from my side, the reservation was never cancelled and my credit card was nevertheless charged.

No accommodation was ever provided at any point.

What followed became increasingly absurd: before, during and after the planned stay, I continuously received automated messages asking about my arrival, wishing me a pleasant stay, and even thanking me for my stay afterwards — although Camelotels had apparently not even noticed that we had never checked in or stayed there at all.

The chargeback procedure with my bank was ultimately successful and a criminal complaint has been filed.

Based on my experience and the many similar reports publicly available online, this does not appear to be an isolated incident.

I also have to mention that, despite months of documented communication and repeated requests for assistance, Booking.com did not provide any meaningful help or solution in this case.

I strongly advise caution.

We paid a premium price but got a broken, neglected apartment that ruined our trip. We arrived at 11 PM with elderly parents to find zero hot water because the boiler lacked pressure. The host refused to take us seriously, telling me to fix it myself using jammed valves that left us worried for our safety. Then they just clocked out for the night, leaving our aged parents stranded.
To make matters worse, the bathroom had zero ventilation and smelled foul. By morning, with the host taking no action, we tried heating water on the stove just so my parents could wash up. The electrical system couldn't handle it, and the power blew, leaving us without any electricity to do anything further.
The host spent the morning lying that help was on the way, dragging it out until 11 AM and wasting half our trip. We had to involve Airbnb support to force a refund and escape. Wildly overpriced for a hazardous, disgusting environment. Do not book anything that is from these guys or from Camelotels.

Booked 4 nights in Vienna via hotel/expedia. At the time, there wasn’t any reviews about the place and the pictures were great. I finally arrived to a filthy apartment and moldy bathroom. No wifi, damp towels, and clearly no cleaning had been done. I immediately conmunicated with camelotels and they sent a ‘maintenance guy’ about 50 minutes later who could not speak English at all. He was supposed to clean up the place but I said I wanted to cancel my booking-since cleaning would not remove the mold- and wanted a refund. He went to make a phone call and never came back-he just vanished! I couldn’t spent another second in that place so I left that same night. Spoke to a rep via WhatsApp, told them I checked out and they said they were looking into the issue. The next day I messaged them again for updates and they said they wouldn’t refund as it didn’t qualify for their cancelation policy. When asked what their policy was, they just stopped replying. So false advertising and mold isn’t serious enough?? I told them I was going to report them and sent them a screenshot of all the negative reviews shown here. Right now, hotel/expedia is dealing with up and I hope I can get my refund.

Hier ist ein Stern noch zu viel! Die "Ferienwohnung" in Wien (Ottakring) war unbewohnbar:
Es roch unerträglich nach Urin und Chemie, so dass wir nach 15min. schon Kopfschmerzen bekamen! Überall lagen nasse stinkende Lappen herum. Das Bad war sehr schmutzig. Der Fußboden unterm Klo und die Klobrille klebten und stanken! Die Tür war kaputt und schloss nicht. Die Dusche war keimig und ekelhaft. Auch dort lag ebenfalls ein stinkender Lappen. Zusammengeknüllte Handtücher lagen auf dem Bett und im Schrank. Die Küche war klebrig, fettig und schmutzig. Im Bad war ein groses Loch in der Wand. Aus dem Zähler im Flur schauten Kabel heraus. Die Wohnungstür war kaputt (wie nach zahlreichen Einbrüchen) und ebenfalls sehr schmutzig. Das ganze Haus war dreckig, die Haustür unten war ebenfalls kaputt, so dass hier viele zwielichtige Leute ein- und ausgingen! Nach Beschwerde wurde uns eine Ersatzwohnung zugewiesen (Lerchenfelder Gürtel 33). Dieses Haus war noch viel schlimmer: die Wohnung konnten wir gar nicht finden in diesem Abrisshaus! In allen Gängen offene Wände, freiliegende Kabel aus Verteilerkästen, Müll und Dreck (Wäsche, dreckige Matratzen und stinkende Lumpen)! Auch hier gingen seltsame Leute ein und aus.
Wir haben woanders gebucht und sollten uns für die Erstattung an booking.com wenden, aber die kannten das Passwort und die Buchung gar nicht. Also eine Betrugsfirma! Wir werden unser Geld wohl nicht zurück bekommen.
ACHTUNG: Bei Check24 sind diese Wohnungen im Angebot! Bitte erst vergleichen und Bewertungen lesen.

Die Wohnung entsprach überhaupt nicht der von uns gebuchten, war kleiner und hatte fehlende bzw. defekte oder verschmutzte Einrichtung. Dies hatte ich sofort nach Bezug bei Camelotels bemängelt und um eine andere Wohnung gebeten. Wegen der unhygienischen Bettstätte musste ich die Nächte im Schlafsack verbringen.

Dreckig, Bezüge kaputt und eklige Bettwäsche. Probleme mit Warmwasser aus anderen Bewertungen kann ich auch nur bestätigen. Leider auch nicht Kulant und mussten trotzdem alle Tage zahlen, obwohl wir nur einen übernachtet haben. Dank Airbnb war es aber stornierbar jetzt haben wir wenigstens noch 60€ von ~200€ zurückbekommen. Absolut nicht zu empfehlen.

Assolutamente da evitare. Niente corrisponde a quanto descritto nell'inserzione. Stanza con bagno condiviso al 4° piano di un palazzo molto, molto, molto fatiscente 'anni 50'. Soggiornato a fine dicembre, abbiamo trovato la stanza con l'unica lampada d'illuminazione non funzionante, un piccolo radiatore ad olio come riscaldamento e piumini sottilissimi e molto datati come coperte... guardando in armadio per vedere se c'erano altre coperte abbiamo trovato un asciugamano sporco di.... terribile!

Don't book nothing with camelotels on booking, airbnb or any other page, or if you see host name Jonas.
They are scammed, they will scam you, they present apartments better what they actually are, on pictures everything looks nice but when you arrive to one of the apartments it's a disaster, no heating or cooling, bads are in super bad condition, sheets are full of steins, bathroom is full of mold and smells like that, apartments and bathrooms are super bad cleaned, we found pubic hair of someone, so is questionable did they even clean, so imagine if you finde restroom like that, imagen how are the sheets, probably they are not even washed.
And then when you want your money back because apartment is not cleaned and it's not like they presented on pictures they refuse to give you your money back.
And they will waste your time, pretend like they are trying to help you and fix the problem, but they won't do nothing about, because they are aware of the problem, so for them is best to not give you your money back or just give you some and scam you for the rest.

Cozy Central 11BR shared Stay with Garden Access & Terrace

En las normas del establecimiento indicaba que estaba prohibido fumar y nuestros vecinos estaban fumando marihuana.
Fue muy complicado contactar con el alojamiento puesto que Agoda borraba los links de acceso al check-in, a pesar que le enviamos a Camelot en varias ocasiones nuestro número de teléfono. Nos enviaron las indicaciones con una parada de metro que estaba a más de cinco kms del alojamiento, por lo que tardamos más de dos horas en llegar y ya no pudimos aprovechar la primera tarde de nuestro viaje.
La habitación era muy pequeña sin armario con unas perchas colgadas en un cable.
Baño compartido con las otras nueve habitaciones sucio, en mal estado y sin calefacción.
Muy lejos del centro.

I made a reservation through Expedia and Vrbo with free cancellation until the end of the month. The host is refusing to accept my request to cancel and I’m wasting hours of my life dealing with this. The host keeps on saying “cancel it on your end”, yea I tried but you don’t allow me to?
Wasn’t shocked to see all the terrible reviews, scammer behavior.

Der Aufenthalt war eine absolute Katastrophe. Das Zimmer war dreckig, die Gemeinschaftsbäder ekelhaft – Urin, Kot, Schimmel überall. Duschen war unmöglich, selbst der Boden war nur mit Schuhen betretbar. Bis spät in die Nacht wurde Wäsche gewaschen, extrem laut und hellhörig. Hygiene und Komfort? Fehlanzeige. Das Bett war das einzig halbwegs Saubere. Nie wieder – absolut nicht empfehlenswert!

Die Wohnung ist nicht so viel günstiger als die anderen verfügbaren aber in einem deutlich schlechteren Zustand. Die Küche war quasi nicht ausgestattet und die Waschmaschine ist bei Benutzung ausgelaufen. Gleichzeitig dauert es Stunden bis man Antworten vom Gastgeber bekommt.

Just another case of some lads trying to scam people with a dogshit apartment. There is no ”Erik Steinbauer” (its an AI-picture) and no clean apartment. Instead, its Mohammed (is he a real person either?) and a moldy sh*thole.

Vor allem bei AirBnB der Gastgeber Peter und co. Gastgeber Muhammad. Es handelt sich dabei um eine Betrug. Auf der Beschreibung steht nirgendswo, dass man sich bei der Camelotels Online Check-In anmelden muss. Nach der Buchung wird man aufgefordert, auf diese Website die persönliche Daten sowie die Ausweisdokumente hochzuladen. TUT DAS AUF GAR KEINEM FALL. Als ich nachgefragt habe warum ich das machen soll, gibt er mir eine kurze Antwort, dass Österreich seit November 2023 eine Gästeverzeichnis bei den Gästen eintragen muss. So ein Unsinn. Ich habe beiden schon auf AirBnB gemeldet, wobei die sowieso nicht gesperrt werden weil sie "soo viele" Inserate haben. Angeblich über 800 Wohnungen. Bitte tut euch ein Gefallen und vermeidet diese arabische Geldwäscherei Clans.
