Took my money for a non stock item and would not communicate with me
I wanted some bottles of a certain wine for a small gathering I had planned but was a little tight for time. Champagne One looked as if they could help, delivery 2-4 days, rated well on Trustpilot, not anymore, UK based customer service etc. I placed the order on the Saturday for my “do” the following weekend. Four days came and went but as it was just Wednesday I wasn’t too worried. Nothing came the following day so now it’s Friday and I’m a little anxious.
First I try to ring them on the number on their website. Every phone call I tried, no matter the time of day, over the course of the following four days was met with the same brusque message “we are dealing with a high call volume” etc etc. They recommended email with the statement “we aim to answer emails within an hour” That was a joke as well. Email Friday, no response for four days. Finally on Monday evening, after my do and the wine now superfluous, I sent another email stating I would inform my bank the site was fraudulent and had taken money under false pretences and I sent it 20 times to fill their inbox !!!!! I got a response the next day but there was no apology or contrition, it just said they were waiting for stock!!!! THEY SHOULD NOT HAVE ACCEPTED MY ORDER IF IT WAS NOT IN STOCK. I suggest thinking twice before ordering from this company as it cannot be trusted.

Bought magnums of champagne..excellent and great for a party (when coronavirus is over!). Absolutely delicious and very good value. The delivery service was quick and unexpectedly pleasant to have a personal service. I admit we live in Cambridge!!

i used the Cambridge Champagne Company to purchase corporate branded gifts and a special bottle of wine for a birthday present. I found the owner hugely knowledgeable which was a real help. In both cases both the product and service was excellent. I can highly recommend them.
