I booked camcabs across 3 days for a Hen Do including 16 people. The booking process couldn’t have been simpler; I just called up and said the time, place, number of people and it was done. They couldn’t have been more helpful. I would ring a few times daily, asking for a change of time, place, number of people… and they would respond quickly and courteously and sort us out as quickly as possible. Punctual, reasonable, enough cars sent for the number of people. We rang for a cab after feeling uncomfortable when we went out to a club and they arrived within 10 minutes of me calling. They then rang me and asked if we were in the taxis safely. It was so sweet and kind of them to check on us and ensured we were collected as easily and quickly as they possibly could. Fab experience for us all. Thank you

Disgusting fraudulent

Disaster from beginning to end. We weren’t picked up from the location that we specified as the driver said he was confused with the roads, despite it being a very easy pick up point in central Cambridge. Driver was not wearing a mask, expressed his anti-vaccine views and was very opinionated about Christmas and new years being a pointless exercise. To top it all off he drove through a red light on a dangerous junction at night. I can forgive the first error, but the rest is unacceptable and incredibly insensitive towards the health and safety of his passengers. Will not be using Camcab again.

I’d steer clear of these guys if you have children with special needs or special needs yourself. My son has severe special needs and we use camcabs services to get to and from school safely. His regular driver has been away so the firm have been sending stand ins to do the job.

Today the driver refused to take my boy because he was opening the door and window where he was sat, the resolve to this is to put the child lock on so then he can’t.He advised that he shouted at my son but because my son is profoundly deaf, severely autistic with many other troubles he hasn’t acknowledged the driver.

The driver has then pulled up on the A14 (unsafely by the sounds of things) and has refused to take my 9 year old any further. The clue was he was being dropped off at a special needs school. The driver then advised that there has been a different driver each day because nobody wanted to do the job and complained about Isaac.

I’ve had all this relaid to me so I thought it would be great to have a chat with Taylor from Camcab, the manager of school transport he advised. I try to explain the situation and want to find out what’s happened and why, why I’m having a phone call with him concerning my sons safety. Taylor advised that all the drivers are trained and they have notes that they look at about the customer that they pick up, yet every driver this week has obviously not looked at Isaac’s background. He said that they take 100s of children to school everyday (not with special needs it would seem). Taylor showed no compassion, no apology, was lost for words and was constantly defending his poor drivers that have had to put up with Isaac’s behaviour. One of the many drivers that have been sent this week have some how lost Isaac’s child seat as well making the journey unsafe.

All of the staff need retraining or at least training on customer service and dealing with vulnerable customers, Taylor included. I’m waiting for Taylor’s manager to ring me back as Taylor couldn’t deal with the problem it seems. If I could leave this company a 0 star rating and raise awareness even more I would. The regular driver who will return next week is a credit to the company. Some serious work needed to turn this around though, the council and school are involved and I’m expecting an internal investigation to take place to find out how this has happened and perhaps a sincere apology too.

The service is appalling. Have been let down a few times either with no show or turning up very late. Its not good especially when one has a booked appointment and the fact that it's a taxi card service for the disabled, it is just not acceptable!

Rang the office at 17.55 to book a taxi for 7pm. Text received to confirm booking. At 19.10 taxi had still not arrived. Called the office to be told that they are running late and it would be 15 minutes. No apology and when I advised them that it would be courteous of them to contact customers to advise if there was going to be a delay he hung up on me! Taxi finally arrived at 19.25. Driver was only given the booking at 19.05! Poor service would not recommend

My journey from Cambridge to Heathrow was excellent. My driver was early, the pickup was smooth and so was the journey My driver was courteous, pleasant and helpful. I’d fully recommend Camcabs.

We had booked a CAM cab online for pick up on late Saturday two weeks ago. When I did the booking it asked me if I prefer payment in cash or credit card. Since I had still cash with me I chose cash. I did the online booking on Saturday during the day and got an email and SMS confirming the booking. Then we arrived at Stansted airport, tired and exhausted but happy that we had arranged for a cab. However, after waiting for than 15 min and no show, I checked my email and in the meantime CAMcab had sent me an cancellation email without any justification. Obviously, I was very upset and called the company. The person on the phone told me that airport pick ups be booked online only by credit card reservation. After listening to him, I told him that their website had no information about this and therefore is very misleading. Apparently, they also called but we were in the plane and not reachable. Company offered to send a cab but it would take one hour to arrive. You will all appreciate that to wait with kids for another hour in an airport is not what you want to do. Luckily we could catch a train to our home town. Overall, extremely disappointed with CamCab that they are not even in a position to create a user friendly and easily understandable website. Other companies do manage too. Would never recommend them to anybody.

Did not turn up, this has happened twice now. Seems to have gone downhill in terms of service.

Worst taxi firm in Cambridge! The last two times I’ve used them they have called me after booking questioned me then told me I would have to wait an hour. Even though I booked from the same pick up as a friend 5 minutes before they made their booking. My friend got a message to say his taxi would be 5 minutes I got a call quizzing me on where I was going how many people I replied 1 going to trumpington. I was told I’d have to wait an hour he was told 5 minutes for st Ives. The same thing happened the next night

Very disappointed with this cab firm. My friends and I left a cool bag full of Prosecco and other such drinks and picnic things in the boot of the car, whilst on our way to punting. Within five minutes of arriving at our destination, we realised that we had left the bag in the boot. We rang the firm immediately, only to be told that the driver couldn’t find the bag. We know that this was a lie, as it was a large bag in an empty boot. Either, the driver did not bother checking or he did and decided to nab what he found. Either way, we are still waiting on a response from the company two days later.
It’s so upsetting that there are dishonest cab drivers out there and we are only grateful that our lost property wasn’t more valuable.

Do not use if you want to get home. Taxi was confirmed for 22.30 by email. I received another email at 22.37 saying it had been cancelled. I phoned and was told that they didn't have the postcode for the pickup( it was a small village) and that they had tried to phone me- I had no missed calls. My daughter spoke to them and they put the phone down on her. Totally unacceptable concern for the welfare of their customers. In the end after phoning several taxi firms Panther taxis came to the rescue.

I have been using this service for about 2 years, but last night I decided to get a cab for a short journey of just over 1 mile.

They charged me nearly £9 for this short journey and the driver took the long route pushing the fare up having to come back on himself.

I pay less going from Town to Home in an expensive metered cab.

You have lost my custom forever Camcabs, back to panther or Uber for me.

I even contacted their office to no avail, this is a blatant disregard for their customers, shocking behavior

Rubbish Service wish I could rate them 0 starts because this is what they deserve
