Cala Homes Arvostelua

We purchased a home in Jordanhill Park from Cala homes and on the final walkthrough, we noticed scuff marks on the carpet throughout the house and black spots (on a white carpet) that the site manager claimed were the real carpet colour coming through since the carpet was "dyed" to get it's white colouring. We were promised if we signed off on the home and signed over to their "customer care team" that the carpet would be taken care of in a timely manner and likely replaced. However, we are now 10 months on since we moved into a BRAND new 5 bedroom home and no carpeting has been replaced. Since then, more black spots have also popped up (on a white carpet) that now have ruined the quality of this home for us. We have followed up countless times to no avail. Finally we had a visit from the manufacturer, and an inspector who all deemed the carpets to need replaced. However, it seems that Cala and the manufacturer/installer are now battling out who should pay to replace the dingy carpets, at our expense. We were told yesterday that one small room (we don't even know which one) will be replaced but they don't know when. As we approach Christmas and potentially a move for us, that will have to be put on hold due to the carpets, we are frustrated with the pathetic customer service, dishonesty and lack of response and support from the site manager, lack of communication from customer care and ridiculous timeline to simply replace a new build carpet that is clearly not of a good standard from the walkthrough. Lesson learned for us that we should not have signed until it was replaced but we had moved out of our rental and were not left with much of a choice. Do not move into a CALA home and do no trust the customer care department if that's where you are referred upon move in.

Lovely team at The Green Winchester. Thank you to Kerry for getting us through to completion and then Beckie, Dawn and Gavin for moving in and working through any snags and questions. Special mention to Beckie for sorting out getting the cats their cat flap in the glazing!

We are very pleased with the services rendered by Conor. He took his time to ensure the quality of work done is excellent.

The joiner Paul was very efficient whilst completing the repair. He explained the problem clearly and rectified it very quickly.

Paul and Neal came out to rectify imperfection in the wall, both did a great job and were very polite and courteous.

Hello there!
We recently had George Fisher doing our painting in our house. George was a friendly person and his workmanship was amazing. He cleaned up after himself which is always a bonus!
Thank you Cala for sending out a great man.
Highly recommended.

Conor from Cala Homes came to rectify an issue I had within my property. He completed the work efficiently and was punctual, friendly and polite.

I’m absolutely delighted with my new Cala home at Oakwood Park! The house is beautifully designed, with a fantastic layout, lovely finishes and great attention to detail. The whole experience has been very positive, and the Cala team has been friendly, helpful and responsive throughout. Any minor snagging issues are being addressed by the team, who have been very helpful and responsive. I couldn’t be happier with my beautiful new home and would happily recommend Cala Homes!

Neal and Paul were excellent. A great job, and very professional - hope to have them back for any future jobs

Had a brilliant experience so far reserving our new home. Daisy & Danielle have both been so helpful in answering questions and we are really impressed with the quality of the build. Can’t wait to move in soon! :)

The Cala ladies at Mindenhurst were excellent from start to finish, and really took care of us and my son.

Communication was efficient, all work that needed doing was done to a very high standard. Nick came to re seal flooring, so neat and tidy, done in a day. I wasn't in the day the work needed completing, but was happy to leave a key and let Cala take care of everything. Great trustworthy staff.

The letterbox sealing gasket was found broken . The wall paints has also been damaged by the handle and letterbox as well. These are all resolved by great work of customer care team. Thanks for the prompt response of Kerry Atkins to identify the product and coordinate the work to be done smoothly. Thanks for the proactive attitude of Chris Denny to complete the detail repairing works and add back the missing door stopper as preventive measure. Great work!

I am in the process of buying a Cala Home at the Randall Fields development in Stotfold. On Friday, Kelly & the site manager invited me into my home 🏡what a lovely experience it was! Both Kelly & Tina have been on the journey with me, exchanging contracts, selecting options, sending me video updates, the service, care and connection goes beyond their job role. Thank you both and see you again soon 🙏⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️♥️

Purchased a house from Cala homes at Kings Barton, Winchester, i found all the staff very helpful, nothing was too much trouble, we were kept informed throughout the build, at handover Gavin was excellent, he showed us around the house and was very knowledgeable, we had a few snags but that was put right immediately by the site foreman Tom and his staff, again all very good and polite.

I called customer service (Louise) due to a key getting stuck and I had to leave for work, within 10 minutes I had a new lock. In a very stressful situation I was very well looked after. Both Lee and Will were able to fix the issue extremely quickly and had a right laugh when the stress of it wore off. Thank you so much!!

We recently had Alan from Cala in to touch up walls and ceilings as part of our snagging. The painting he has completed is good and he is a credit to the business.

Completed with satisfaction

Kerry Hall from Cala Homes has been absolutely fantastic. I found myself in a tricky situation after my chain collapsed but fortunately Kerry was able to progress my purchase on quickly enough that i managed to keep hold of my buyers and completed on the sale in record time. Kerry was incredibly responsive and was more than happy to go above and beyond to keep things moving quickly. I am so glad i chose to buy a Cala home.

Review purely for employee George Fisher who was an absolute pleasure to deal with. George was very respectful of the house before starting the work, ensuring dust sheets and protective coverings were applied to the area. George was fantastic at providing updates at each stage of the process over the 2 days and went above and beyond in the quality of work completed. An absolute credit to the business and I’d be more than happy to have George come back should any other similar work be required in the future.
