VERY BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE.

I was paid extra for my cake to be delivered at a certain time. On the day of delivery they assured me it would come 2 hours before the time I have requested for it to come at.

It did not show up till an hour and a half after the time I had requested. Whilst waiting I was calling their customer service and they were unable to tell me when my cake will be delivered.

After delivery I requested for the extra money I paid for delivery. They are just offering me credit. They are very slow with getting back to me.

First and last time I will ever go to cakes today.

This is the worst experience I've ever had with a company. The past Sunday 4th of July we were celebrating a special day and we ordered a cake.
The cake was ordered to be delivered to a business, which closes at 5 pm.
Not only the cake didn't arrive on time, but we had to chase the company to provide some explanation of the whereabouts of the cake.
The cake arrived late and not as in the description.

When forwarded this issue to their customer services, they considered it acceptable to have a cake delivered late (they gave us a NINE HOUR delivery slot!!!) and just offered a 15% discount on the next order.

What kind of customer service is this?
Please take your discount to train your customer service agents and to build a serious business.

Absolutely poor service would never buy there again…placed an order via Uber which offers a time slot delivery…in the morning it said delivery between 0900-0930 at 1000 nothing was here…called the company….all the sudden it’s delivery during the day….so passed on the door code to pass on to the driver….as I had to leave…came home…no cake, called them again and have to pay 15GBP for re delivery…all not there fault and raise a case with Uber was all what was said in a very poor English….45GBP for a simple cake and 15 re delivery very with that kind of service….

This is first online order I placed from Australia. The service is great and staff is very helpful.

Rang in a panic to order Graduation cupcakes for our kindergarten. Spoke with a very helpful lady called Michelle, who expedited our delivery by 4pm that day, to fit in with school hours.
The cakes arrived beautifully packaged, with lovely graduation caps and scrolls on the toppers. They were delicious, not too sweet, and went down a storm with the children.
I can’t thank you enough for all your help, I will recommend for sure!

Ordered a cake due to previously using this company and I was terribly disappointed. For starters I ordered a cake for my twins’ 3rd Birthday party 3 days in ADVANCE and called them to confirm on the day a few hours before the cake was needed, no concerns were raised and got the usual delivery is between 7-8pm so I waited when it did not arrive by the time said, they just kept adding on more time and excuses of being in traffic ect.

After 10pm I was unable to get into contact with them whatsoever due to shop closing time. They delivered the cake close to MIDNIGHT on a SUNDAY, by that time I had two very UPSET TODDLERS who did not get a cake on their actual birthday AS WERE TOO TIRED TO WAIT ANY LONGER and guests who gave them a benefit of a doubt and stayed really late but left before the cake came because it was too late for their kids to be awake and they had NURSERY OR SCHOOL the next day. Very upset children everywhere and also very embarrassing as they stayed till 10pm to watch the twins blow their candles which they were unable to do (THE £4 something CANDLE DID NOT EVEN ARRIVE!)
This company does not take any responsibility of issues that arise and have no remorse for the disruption caused to the customers.

Complete shambles that they do not refund when it’s past their agreed contract delivery, they broke it and they try to act like it’s not their fault. (In their policy if you cancel within 72hours they still get your money, so they should be able to give refunds when they ruin a birthday by delaying nearly 4 hours their stated time rather than letting people know at the get go so other arrangements can be made to avoid disappointment to guests and the CHILDREN!!!)

They prioritise same day order cakes over pre-booked orders and don’t offer a more precise time interval, ordering from here is like playing Russian roulette, no consistency whatsoever.

WILL BE ORDERING FROM A REASONABLE CAKE PLACE FOR FUTURE OCCASIONS TO AVOID FURTHER DISAPPOINTMENT!!!!!!!!

This company is a fraud, they took my money for delivery and refused to deliver my baby's birthday cake-on enquiry the delivery driver demanded that I should come out my wheelchair to get the cake and refused to deliver at the door.
An update on my review for cakestoday:
So the following day at about 2pm cakestoday called to ask if I would pay another re-delivery charge for them to redeliver my cake but I wasn't responsible for why it wasn't delivered in the first place and I had already paid for delivery-so they said it they would deliver for "free"as a complimentary.
The cake got delivered at about 7pm-it was a kids party that started at 2pm and ended 4pm.
The driver was buzzed in, delivered the cake at the door and the delivery was signed for. What I don't understand is why they couldn't do this in the first place to save me from extra cost, time, and distress.
I would never ever recommend this company to anyone.

Ordered strawberry rose swirl birthday cake with fresh strawberries inside, along with a happy birthday gorgeous yesterday with a Groupon voucher and also paid directly for a ballon . It was delivered gone 10 pm. There was no fresh strawberries the cake was square with 80% cream and flimsy layers of sponge inside!!!!
The surprise was ruined 😡 by poor quality cake, a different one to what I asked for, no fruit inside as promised and agreed

I have ordered custom birthday cakes for my son two years in a row with Cakes Today. The Cake Today team have been able to follow the specification given and ensure an 24 hr turnaround. I have tried other services but one occasion they missed my order and they need atleast one week notice. So a big 5 star for the Cakes Today team for working to short timelines and still ensuring quality and spec.

Avoid at all cost. They do not deliver the cake the day you order it and charge you more to redeliver. Customer service is unhelpful which is not surprising from a company who is just after your money.

I spoke to experience@landofcake they acknowledge that there has been an issue with the delivery (the delivery instructions have not been followed by the delivery driver). At the end of the day, the cake was delivered a day late, I even had to pay an extra for it to have it redelivered. Saying sorry is easy for you but when it comes to fix your mistakes and refund your customer, you are able to find all the good excuses in the world.

I ordered cupcakes for my boyfriends 30th birthday and we were delighted with them excellent service and I was amazed they offer next day delivery. The cakes themselves were delicious we ordered pistachio and had them with strawberries which is a match made in dessert heaven 😍

Love these cakes, they are so light and fluffy and not too sweet. We had one at Christmas and we loved it so.much my daughter wanted one for her birthday

I had some issues with the order but it was resolved by Joyce dsouza very efficiently.

She is wonderful lady and would recommend her .

WORST CAKE COMPANY EVER. AVOID AVOID AVOID. Cake was inedible and a disgrace to look at. We complained and didn’t hear back. It has taken 10 calls and four e-mails to get a response and the RUDEST and most UNHELPFUL man called back. Worst customer service ever. Please don’t order from this company. very bad service ordered cake did not delivery on time messaged them on whatsapp they dont reply called them they dont know when it will be delivered

Customer service was super nice as I tried to order from Italy and their website was not working at the time, helped me through whatsapp with everything i needed. The cupcakes tasted really good as well! Definitely going to order from them again. The only downside of the order was the delivery: the cupcakes were squished as the packaging did not have any indication of it containing fragile material that needed to be handled carefully.

Excellent service. Very easy to order on the website. Arrived next day as promised and tasted great. Everyone enjoyed. Very happy to recommend

The cake is made so fresh and so yummy. Delivery was early that expected and same day! My guest were delighted, thank you Cakes Today ☺️
