Cabotswood Boots Arvostelua 

Purchased a pair of Cabotswood boots for £45.94 directly from the Cabotswood website. Cabotswood is owned by Footwear Brands, and unfortunately my experience with the company was poor from start to finish.

The boots arrived but were extremely stiff and uncomfortable. There were no returns instructions or returns form included with the order, and the online returns form on the website was not working. I then tried to telephone customer services using the published number, only to find it was unavailable. After emailing, I received no response for four days and eventually had to identify and contact a senior member of the company via LinkedIn before anyone replied.

I returned the boots using the company's approved returns process on 12 June and retained proof of posting. Despite this, I received neither a refund nor any response to my follow-up emails and ultimately had to raise a dispute through my John Lewis credit card provider to recover my money. Only after the card dispute was underway did I finally receive a full refund.

The lack of communication and the poor customer service at every stage made what should have been a straightforward purchase and return unnecessarily difficult. I cannot recommend buying from this company based on my experience.

Just bought my second pair (4th overall but two aren’t for everyday use) 1st pair lasted 7 years, and I’d even been in saltwater launching a boat with them on. Still no structural issues but treated myself to a new pair as there was a sale on. Amazing quality and British made. Customer for life!

Ordered shoes on 28th May when website clearly stating in stock. No update since and no sign of them being shipped. Telephone number unable to accept a call. Email (copied and pasted from the contacts on the website) bounced back. Sent a further email (not acknowledged) requesting cancellation of the order and an immediate refund. As usual heard nothing. Based on this experience, other potential buyers should avoid at all costs.

Purchased boots, unfortunately too small, contacted and spoke to Elliot, email sent to return, ordered new size, arrived. Sent back original boots, was informed by Elliot that the refund would be sent and they had received boots back. Still waiting weeks later, telephone number now not working and they are not replying to any emails. Don't know what us happening! Not happy.

Fraud Alert – Based on our experience, this felt like a fraudulent business transaction.

Avoid doing business and buying their boots.

We completed a shipment for Cabotswood Boots from india to UK but our freight charges, duties, and taxes remain unpaid. Multiple follow-ups produced no satisfactory resolution.

Very bad and fraud experience, lack of accountability, and failure to honor payment obligations. We would not recommend them as a business partner and as a good company to buy any boots. Freight forwarders and suppliers should secure full payment in advance before providing any services.

Ordered Sunday came today, Thursday and was Bank Holidat. Great boots and excellent value for money. You don’t receive an email confirmation but I called up and the customer service was excellent.

Ordered boots in January 26, didn't fit so returned by recorded delivery on 19th January.
Have still not received refund, will be taking to the small claims court If not refunded this week.
Do not use this company it doesn't deserve your custom.

So impressed with this company. Ordered a tall pair of boots and an ankle pair. Came really quickly.
Super quality and a really good price.
They are also both incredibly comfortable.

Easy to use website, query dealt with quickly by Dylan via email and speedy accurate delivery information.

Ordered Thursday paid for dpd next day delivery no tracking info.. nothing arrived Friday or Saturday turns up Monday sent 3 emails no replies verry poor service very disappointing won't be using this company again !

The company dispatched my order very promptly, but having paid for next day delivery, it was disappointing that the carrier failed to deliver for 3 working g days. I did complain because I wanted them to take on holiday. They refunded the delivery charge, and the boots are great. Wider calf fitting than I expected or needed but they are good quality, very comfy and colour as shown. I’d buy another pair. Good customer service!

First of all they charge £5 for delivery, when the product finally arrived it had an awful smell, the width of the calves were way too baggy which would have let in any rain. And finally each boot differed width size over the toe/forefoot crushing one significantly and that is the narrower foot. I now have to pay another £5 to return. Do not buy it's not worth it...

Terrible customer service. They will put every single barrier in order to avoid giving you a refund despite the fact that the item was faulty. Steer away from this company

I ordered on line but mistakenly ordered two pairs. A telephone call to the lovely Elliot J quickly sorted everything out, refunding and reordering.
The boots "Gatcombe slimfit" arrived promptly and are really lovely. Smart, warm and waterproof.
I was especially pleased with the customer service and highly recommend.

I had a struggle to begin with in that the design of the first boots I ordered was such that, having a high instep, I couldn’t get my foot through the ankle part; and, because of the sale, the wider version wasn’t available. The boots are beautiful and I was so disappointed. However, Dylan came to my rescue and offered to note my need for the exchange and to send them to me when they were available again. True to his word, the new boots arrived just before Christmas. He kept in touch with me throughout providing customer service second to none!! I also bought a boot storage bag which is perfect, ensuring that the boots are protected and will keep their shape. Final note: If you have a high instep as I do, it’s definitely worth thinking about buying the wider option

Cabotswood have proved to be extremely efficient.
They were very quick on Christmas Eve to sort out an order issue, I already have a refund …… and I love my dry, waterproof, toasty, stylish new boots!

I purchased the Amberley 2 Country Boots in Chocolate colour. They are very comfortable and the sizing is perfect. I was also sent a free boot bag which is of excellent quality too. The customer service experience has been very professional also. I would definitely recommend this company and their Boots.

The Country Boots were certainly worth waiting for after abit of a postage delay - as fantastic quality boots, beautifully packaged, and really chuffed with the complimentary wellie bag too!

Oh dear…

A Very disappointing experience

After the advertised delivery date passed, I contacted Cabotswood for an update. I was told that one item in my order had been delayed, which can happen — but no attempt was made to inform me until I chased them myself.

I was then advised the order had been sent via Royal Mail 48-hour delivery. Ten days later, nothing had arrived.

I contacted Cabotswood again, now three weeks after placing the order, and received an extremely unhelpful response. I was told I would have to wait until Royal Mail returned the parcel (despite Royal Mail having no record or idea where the parcel was) before I could receive a refund.

I explained my consumer rights, including the right to a refund if goods are not delivered within 30 days. This was dismissed.

Thankfully, I paid via PayPal and was able to recover my money that way — otherwise I suspect I’d still be waiting.

To clarify the timeline: I called on Thursday 11th December and spoke with Elliot, who advised that a replacement order would be sent out to arrive the following day. I was also told that I would receive email confirmation, which never arrived. When the replacement also failed to arrive, I called again and spoke with Peter (who I understand to be a manager).

During that call, Peter stated there was no record of my earlier request for a replacement and informed me that I would need to wait until Royal Mail located and returned the original lost order to Cabotswood before a refund could be issued. This directly contradicts what I was previously told.

Given these inconsistencies, and the lack of any written confirmation despite assurances, I find this response disappointing. The large number of similar negative reviews detailing comparable experiences appears to provide a far more accurate reflection of the issues encountered than your reply suggests.

I received my Henley 2 Country Boots - Oak/Tweed - EU 39 / UK 6, and I love them so much! they fit lovely they are leather and waterproof and I cant believe they was only £29.95 in the sale, such a bargain. I would fully recommend this website and I will be using them again .
