I used to buy my glasses here I like the quality and the price... I went to buy some sun glasses to replace ones I lost.... the website says that they offer All our lenses include scratch-resistant and anti-reflective coatings. and there use to be a basic package that include this at no addtional cost... now they force you to get a 60 dollar advance package that says that the price is for scratch-resistant and anti-reflective coatings...... 60 dollars more is not the same as include............ when i asked for the basic package they BANND MY IP ADRESS FORM THE WEB SITE.... what a joke! this is obviously a very shady business

If I could give zero I would. I ordered eyeglasses from them and they leave out a critical step in the ordering process to make the lenses function correctly. Their follow up was to tell me to place another order. Terrible, do not use.

The goggles had a manufacturing defect, but the excellent customer service was superb and corrected the issue quickly!!

Terrible customer service. I bought a pair of Ray-Bans in February this year, the frame snapped today so I wanted to see if there was any sort of warranty since it is clearly a defect. They said they wouldn’t do anything for me and offered me $30 off my next purchase. I told them I was very disappointed and they didn’t even acknowledge it they just asked if there was anything else they could help me with. Well… they didn’t help me in the first place. Very disappointed

Our patient purchased lenses from Eyebuy and it's beyond me, a seasoned optician, why the directive online is to first choose a frame. Any Optician worth their credentials knows the lens is selected first in order to build a great fitting pair of glasses. Our patient received poor quality lens work. But seriously what do you expect from online eyewear? If you want a great pair of glasses save your time & money and support your local opticians. Hands on is the best.

I have about 15 pairs of glasses from eyebuydirect.ca. I used to love them. Today, I reached out to them asking if they offered any sort of service where I could return my old frames from them and have the lenses updated to my new prescription - because to me, it’s wasteful to just throw all of these glasses out now that the prescription no longer works. They replied to me pretty quickly and informed me they do not do that, and then sent me a link to place a new order.

Clearly, I do not want to place a new order. That was not what I was asking. I would rather just go to a real store and have them put new lenses in, but I figured eyebuydirect would stand by their own products.

Also in the email they suggested to me to upgrade my lenses on my new order, by paying extra for the thinner lenses.

Why would I do that? I specifically emailed them asking about one service - and now they are trying to upsell me on “thinner lenses” which in a year or two when my prescription changes again - will be completely useless.

This actually annoyed me more than them just telling me to place a new order…. Because why are you trying to upsell me?

The customer service needs to THINK before replying to people. I’m upset that my frames are pretty much useless now, since the lenses are not working for my eyes anymore, and eyebuydirect does not replace lenses….. so they tell me to place a new order and pay even more for lenses?? Make that make sense.

I won’t be buying from them in the future. Clearly, they don’t think before messaging customers and they don’t really care about their customer service at all.

EBD Canada is much slower filling orders compared to my experience using others online. I ordered Jan 30 and on Feb 7 order tracking says the lenses are still being shaped and edge beveled. The website propaganda offers actual receipt of orders in as short as 7 days but it seems in reality orders take longer than 7 days to even ship. I paid extra for expedited shipping, where is the expedited service?? Frustrating. Disappointing.

I have bought 4 glasses from eyebuydirect. The first 3 were great. But on the last one, they made a mistake with my new, difficult prism prescription. They simply got the numbers opposite, even though I sent them the correct prescription. They acknowledged their mistake and quickly sent me the correct prescription (within 2 weeks) at no additional charge. I was thoroughly impressed with their service.
Also, I feel their prices have very good value, and they have an easy site to navigate thru. I will continue using them.
I have always taught my students to also leave positive feedback when when someone or some vendor delivers a good product. So right now, I am practicing what I teach.
My experience with Eyebuydirect has been very good.

Extensive info and great price!

I looked at another company's website before landing on this one; the difference between the two is remarkable. Eyebuydirect gave much more information regarding its offerings, e.g. the other site gave minimal dimensions; Eyebuydirect gave also the height of the lens and its width. This was extremely important to me seeing how much I despise large frames.

In addition they were having a discount on not only the frames but the lens also! The added cherry on top is the additional discount I received as a new customer. I purchased two pair with premium progressive lenses, astigmatism correction, plus blue light UV protection for less money than one pair would have cost from the other site.

I can't speak about delivery times or quality at this time since I have just placed my order. But at this price point I am willing to wait up to two weeks for delivery.

So happy with my glasses! Amazing selection of frames. Received many compliments on my frames. Had small issues with my orders and their customer support always goes above and beyond to make it right. Will continue to shop there and refer friends and family to to them.

High quality frames and impeccably filled prescriptions are two of the things that make my experience stellar. 24/7 high quality customer support by phone or chat. Lens processing begins when order is placed so order fulfillment is fast no matter shipping destination. Unbelievable refund/replacement policy. Amazing prices for the product purchased, which is a medical device, a thought to keep in mind. Totally risk free. All customer support reps are helpful and diligent and accommodate. This business works hard to please and they do please. I've tried other online eyewear businesses. Can't see out of lenses some companies put out the work is so sloppy. On balance, this is the only eyewear company I buy from and I'm aware of the others.

OK, it's now August 3rd and after some thought and research, I decided to purchase a pair of eyeglasses (multifocal) online. Am I risking this?? Who knows, but I guess it's worth the try. Why?? Honestly, it's probably the cheapest offer I found. Additionally, I went on Google to search for a Promo Code (rebate) and I got a nice one. I got a 50% discount. Nice, huh?? Firstly, I learned a lot from this experience. I learned about the PD (Pupillary Distance), which is very important to know. I decided to call EBD and someone from the Philippines assisted me. He was very patient and helpful. He helped me understand about my prescription more clearly. I even sent it to him via email which cleared up a lot questions. I also went to the nearest Optician where I live and he was kind enough to help me with PD measurements. It's basically the distance between your pupil to the next, but mine was more sophisticated because I need progressives. Which means, you have a distance from the PD (far) and the PD (near). All you need is your prescription numbers (Sphere, Cylinder and Axis) and possibly ADD or others, if required. It's pretty straight forward when you enter all this info in the website. You'll have all the options to choose for quality and I went for the crème-de-la-crème (with all the options) with a pair of Ray Ban. My favourite part is... there are no TAXES. Strangely enough (for you Canadians out there), I was charged 50 cents for the GST. I also took the Shipping Insurance for $3.33 CAN. I hope that's a legit feature! I paid $9.95 for Canada Post Priority, but I could have had free shipping with a first-time purchase promo code. I think my other promo code was way better off.

Anyway, I'm now crossing my fingers that I'll receive my new pair of Ray Ban eyeglasses between 7 - 14 days from now, as they mentioned. Additionally, I certainly hope I'll like them and they'll fit me well.

If I'll be satisfied with the safe journey and on-time shipment, as well as my overall satisfaction with these eyeglasses, I'll definitely give them 5 stars!! I CAN'T WAIT!!

I was scared to try an online service to get a new pair of glasses. I followed the instruction carefully and I got my glasses with a perfect fit for the frame and for the prescription glasses.

Despite numerous attempts on my part to resolve this with the company, they finally admit that they had no intention of delivering within the agreed times. They did not respond to one email of three. They did not respond to this review. CANADIANS buy from Clearly. A local company with far better service and frames. Do not waste your time with these people. Seems like I am not the only person with a disappointing experience. I have recently had a couple of companies that promised to deliver in a certain time frame and then couldn't be bothered to live up to that. Today it became clear that my order would not be delivered in time, only to be confirmed by their customer service. They, like the other companies, couldn't be bothered to contact me. There are a lot of companies out there offering online glasses: TRY ANOTHER!

Of all the businesses I have reviewed, this is the only one that never apologised, or gotten back to me!

I ordered my first pair of glasses with some trepidation. I have a bad astigmatism. Glasses have always cost me a lot of money because high index lenses are so costly. It's hard to find frames that work and can accommodate a higher prescription.

I uploaded my prescription, picked out frames and just went for it.

The glasses I got were an excellent price and very high quality. I immediately ordered a second pair. Both will come in under the cost of a pair retail.

The only downside is it took a bit longer to get them (2.5 weeks) than I was expecting. They also don't come in a protective case but rather a sleeve that doubles as a lens cleaner.

But I would definitely recommend this company and have to many of my friends.

I am appalled at the EyeBuyDirect failure to deliver a product that works regardless of their promises of satisfaction. They did provide the one-time Replacements when the first pair received did not help my vision. I have a simple prescription which both EyeBuyDirect and other providers such as Glasses.com and Walmart have filled without issue. After the second pair were also useless, their customer service wrote me to essentially say 'tough luck' and no replacement or refund available, only a 15% discount on another order. They also addressed me by the wrong name in their response, apparently a problem with their robotic reply provider. This is extremely poor service and both products received on this order may as well be over-the-counter glasses that work for no one. I urge all to choose another eyeglass provider - EyeBuyDirect is a huge waste of money and will only disappoint the discerning buyer.
