My logic is I'm sure you are taking other jobs, why did I have to go through this much to get you to help but yet you still deny without an actual reason. Why are you denying me but not others? I asked for these quotes on the inspection and was told I would get it, but why the run around? Why is it that CEO or upper management ignoring my comments, I included them in later emails. And the best response is " we are unable to take this job at this time". Why is no one else in charge of offering help when another can't. That's a huge red flag. I'm glad others had a better experience but it's hard to tell if it's genuinely correct or made up. Unprofessional and lazy is what I saw with this business.
Factual Review
I rarely leave negative reviews, but after months of trying to resolve an issue, I feel it’s important to share my experience.
The installation itself went well, but the motorized blinds have never functioned reliably. Since installation, there have been multiple service visits, and each time I was told the issue had been resolved. Unfortunately, the problems continued shortly after the technicians left.
Over the course of this process, I spent considerable time coordinating with Budget Blinds, their technicians, and the manufacturer. Communication became increasingly difficult, with long periods where I received no updates. Most recently, I was asked to work directly with the technical advisor to arrange a call with Somfy, but after nearly two weeks I had still not heard back despite following up.
My disappointment isn’t with the fact that a product had an issue—problems can happen with any manufacturer. My frustration is with how long it has taken to reach a resolution and the lack of timely communication throughout the process. After multiple service visits and months of back-and-forth, I am still waiting for a permanent solution.
I hope sharing my experience encourages improvements in communication and after-sales support for future customers.

Very unhappy on order and taking hey, whole month to get made and installed. And when install the windows shades did not split from the middle. They're straight down, which looks so tacky, and I'm stuck with them, they're basically saying that's what they wrote down. And you know, I asked for the notes, but you cannot write on the notes anytime you want. So I don't believe it. I thought I know I talked about splitting the one that is so make sure you talk very good to these people and know what you're doing. When you sign the contract, read it. My mistake, I thought I had a good rapport with my salesman.

Matt installed the shades in less than an hour which was impressive. The end result was a masterpiece. Perfection. The shades exceeded my expectations and to top it all off, they treated me like a friend, so I gained friends in the process.

Great quality, service and price
I called Budget Blinds to get an estimate for the cost to replace my mini blinds. Mark arrived promptly at the appointment time and told me about my options. After I made my selection, he measured my windows and told me it would be about 3 weeks for delivery. After only 2 weeks I got a call from Mike to inform me that my blinds were in and to set up a convenient time for installation. A few days later, Mike called to tell me that there was an opening in the schedule and would I be available to have the blinds installed that same day. I told him I would be available all afternoon and he said the installers would be there in about 45 minutes. Sure enough, 45 minutes later Darius and Max arrived at my door with my blinds in hand. They worked as a team efficiently and quickly. Both gentlemen were very friendly and polite and also caulked the holes from where the previous blinds had been removed. This was such an unexpected surprise and one that I am grateful they did for me because it saved me from having to do it myself! They completed the removal and installation of 6 blinds in less than 30 minutes! I would highly recommend Budget Blinds to anyone looking to enhance their home with window coverings. This is the second time I have used Budget Blinds and am very satisfied with their quality, service and especially my installers, Darius and Max.

My husband has been waiting for over six months for this company to correct the unacceptable work they performed in my home.
They installed extremely expensive blinds, the service has been profoundly disappointing. Since the installation, they have repeatedly scheduled appointments so they could come and address the numerous issues. Each time, my husband rearrange his work commitments and personal responsibilities to accommodate them, only for them to show up, look at the problems, and leave without making a single repair.
At this point, it feels as though they are simply wasting his time and showing complete disregard for their customers.
My husband had spoken directly with the owner (or the person in charge) as well as her son, and despite countless conversations and promises, nothing has been resolved. The lack of accountability, professionalism, and respect is astonishing.
When customers invest this kind of money, they expect quality workmanship and reliable customer service. Instead, he has been left with endless excuses, and six months of frustration.
I am formally requesting that this company either:
Properly repair and complete the work to the standard that was promised, or
Remove all of the blinds and issue a full refund.
No customer should have to endure this level of incompetence and neglect after making such a significant investment.
I strongly urge anyone considering this company to think carefully before doing business with them. My experience has been extraordinarily disappointing, stressful, and entirely unacceptable.
From Design to Install: A Masterclass in Customer Service
We just had an extensive variety of window treatments installed by Budget Blinds of Williamsburg Virginia, and the entire process was incredible—a complete night-and-day contrast to a frustrating experience we had with a different local contractor recently.
The communication was flawless from the start. Kayla kept us constantly informed with text and email updates so we never had to guess where we were in the process. One standout feature: every text involving a contact person—from Stuart at the beginning to Joe the installation manager—included a photo of them. Knowing exactly who was arriving at our door was a professional and special touch that we found very effective.
Stuart, our sales rep, was phenomenal. He measured everything perfectly and his design assistance was spot on, especially the drapes in the living room and master bedroom. He set the bar high and ensured those expectations were met.
The installation crew—Derrick (lead), KT, Anthony, and Dylan—were total pros. They were communicative, demonstrated how to operate the motorized shades and shutters, and were incredibly respectful of our home. Later, Joe (Field Manager) arrived to personally check the quality and assist with the soft treatments.
They even reminded us of about "5-year no questions asked" warranty and offered to help move our furniture back into place. If you want a team that combines high-tech communication with old-school customer service and expertise, this is the team to call!

Poor Quality and Service
I had a very disappointing experience with Budget Blinds in Williamsburg, VA. I spent $933 for two living room shades, including installation, and expected a much higher level of service and quality.
The initial consultation went well. I was happy with the selection process and felt confident in my choices for both the two shades and the valances. Unfortunately, the experience declined from there.
After waiting several weeks for installation, the workers arrived and installed the wrong valances. To make matters worse, one of them was left visibly lopsided and one valance appears broken. The shades do not provide complete frame coverage, The lack of accuracy and attention to detail was extremely frustrating, especially given the cost.
For what I paid, I expected professional installation and quality workmanship. Instead, I was left feeling that I could have spent far, far less and received better service and results elsewhere.
I would not recommend this company based on my experience. Buyer beware.This was an expensive mistake.
