Book never arrived. I ordered it on 14th May. Seems to be with DPD 'somewhere', but not moving. Will not order again here.

I order one book but i didn't see the information that the book not in the Netherlands was. I took contact with them and i received my money back and could stay with the book anyway. I think that they are very kind.

An absolutely terrible experience. I bought a book on the 14th and now it’s the 18th, and the parcel is still nowhere near being delivered. The tracking is practically stuck at the early stages with DPD. In the Netherlands it is completely normal to receive a package within one or two days, not wait almost a week with barely any progress.

The real problem here is that Bookbot chooses to work with DPD, which is honestly one of the worst delivery companies I have ever dealt with. I have received four different parcels through DPD over time and I had problems with every single one of them. One package took more than a month to arrive, and another one was simply lost and nobody took responsibility for it. Every time I see DPD as the courier, I already know there will be issues.

What makes this even more ridiculous is that after seeing no progress with this order, I bought the exact same book from another store two days ago. They shipped it with PostNL and it arrived in my mailbox the very next morning. That is the difference between a serious company and one that chooses to save money at the customer’s expense.

I genuinely do not understand how in 2026 companies are still using DPD when much more reliable services like PostNL and DHL exist. Customers deserve a professional and dependable delivery service, not endless delays and uncertainty.

I will never buy from this store again purely because they use DPD.

Ik had eerlijk gezegd nog nooit van Bookbot gehoord en kwam er toevallig terecht via Google tijdens het zoeken naar een specifiek boek. Juist dat boek kon ik hier vinden, wat al een fijne verrassing was.

De website is duidelijk en overzichtelijk, waardoor bestellen heel makkelijk ging. Het boek werd goed en eerlijk weergegeven met duidelijke foto’s/staatbeschrijving, dus je weet wat je kunt verwachten. Daarnaast was de prijs ook gewoon erg netjes.
De verzending was snel en het boek kwam zorgvuldig verpakt aan.

Ik ben erg tevreden over mijn eerste ervaring met Bookbot en zou hier zeker opnieuw bestellen!

Ja, ik dacht, lijkt me wel sympathiek, dus laat ik het eens proberen. Ik stuurde een volle doos met boeken die andere online verkoopsites in Nederland niet wilde hebben naar Praag! (die boeken waar niemand dus iets aan verdient worden dus heen en weer gereden tussen Nederland en Praag, niet echt milieubewust). Bij wijze van experiment dus. Ik ben niet tevreden. Het grootste deel van de boeken bieden ze aan onder de 3,49 en dus krijg ik niets (ik ontvang 70% van het bedrag BOVEN de 3,49). Een aantal boeken (die dus niemand wilde hebben) hebben ze extreem hoog geprijsd (boven de 100 euro). Ik denk dat het een fout is in de pricing en heb contact opgenomen met de klantenservice. Dat is ook een robot en dus krijg je flauwekul antwoorden waar je niets aan hebt. Ik heb dus (nog) niets verkocht en ik verwacht er ook niets van.

Good price. Good condition of the book. Rather quick delivery.
