Tom who worked for their customer service department was absolutely superb and could not have been more helpful in assisting me extremely promptly, with all the queries I had, then also in enabling me to renew my Blue Light Card.

The Blue Light Card, really is a fantastic reward for all the hours of relentless hard work for all it's employees to benefit from.

Recently made an application for a Blue Light Card ( I met the necessary conditions). The process was straightforward,However I encountered an issue in getting my documents recognised for approval. I always believe the measure of an organisation is how well they handle problems. I must say that the level of engagement to resolve was excellent. Everything now sorted and approved.

Renewed again using "secure" portal. Tried to buy a Currys shopping card, then account suspended due to suspicious activity. Contacted via the help link as no phone number. Took over a week to respond. I was requested to reset my password via app. When I did get a response, I was asked to send ID again via standard email. When I told them this is not a secure method and requested a secure means to send ID, similar to when you apply, I was told they dont have a secure portal! So does this mean the registration portal is not secure for personal data transfer?
Then sent a complaint via the forms feedback and heard nothing since! They seem happy to take the money to have a card, yet do nothing to resolve the issues after they suspend the account, when trying to purchase shopping vouchers, on the app you verify to use. Massive personal data risk!

I applied for a blue light card and somehow messed up the online application process..... I know.
I managed to contact the helpline and luckily a member of staff called Grace looked into the problems I was having; within a week Grace had dealt with the issues, kept me up to date with her progress and was basically kind, helpful and professional!

Just love the amount of savings I make with my Blue Light Card. Use it in many shops frequently. The gift cards save me a small fortune annually

Absolute Rubbish!!!! Half the codes don't work!!! And tonight tried to purchase a Currys shopping card that would've saved me £100, however it wouldn't allow me to buy it. Then got an email saying my activity wasn't to their liking or their terms and my account had been blocked!! So I can't use it for what it's supposed to be used for???? Waste of time, will be getting rid of the app and card, only thing its good for is saving around 40p at Star Bucks!!!!

The discounts on blue light are a great help in this bad financial climite

Have been a BLC holder for a number of years. Have made savings across a range of services and goods. What is not to like.

Customer service wise, if you have any issues they respond promptly and deal with any issues quickly and efficiently.
Email them today regards an issue and within minutes it was sorted. (Thanks Danielle).

Taken £5 for outwrite service. I will never renew again and waste of money. They take weeks to respond. Outright disgrace. Please don’t sign up. It’s not worth it. I would give big fat O but no option to do this.

Nike does not accepted Blue light card discount anymore in stores. They said they only works online now however, on their website, they did not accepted my 10% discount code.

Isse with uploading ID for renewal and it was sorted immediately.

Customer Service was excellent, my support request was dealt by a representative called Chloe, it was both speedy and efficient and gave me a sense of professionalism. It was a great experience and gives a strong sense of confidence.

Non- payment on £45 Car Insurance Offer / Useless Customer Service.
I bought car insurance through the BLC offer. I waited the two months specified in the T&Cs for the £45 gift card. Nothing. Waited another week and raised a ticket including screenshots of the offer, BLC acknowledgment email and proof of purchase.. The reply said that the matter would be looked into and the ticket was closed.
Waited another month. Nothing. Raised a second ticket, received a copy and paste of the previous BLC email and ticket closed. Waited a week, raised third ticket. Same again. Contacted customer service directly. No reply.

"Customer Service" are a complete waste of time.

This offer is still available on the website (it is now £40 rather that £45 which is inconsequential as you will be receiving £0 from this offer, so don't waste your time).
I could have got a better deal elsewhere at the time of purchase but the £45 giftcard was tempting.
My advice, avoid joining BLC, I will certainly not be renewing membership.
I joined in April after seeing their advert on TV and assuming they were trustworthy.
The first offer I tried to use was for a Hoover washer/dryer. The BLC code didn't work. I then found that the exact same discount was available on the Hoover website.
My experience of BLC after 6 months. Two offers applied for. Neither worked. £0 saved. Time wasted writing emails and this review.

Awful just plain awful , firstly you MUST have a contact line for people to speak to a REAL person rather than emails and getting automated replies .

Secondly , the gap between getting a card approved or renewed and actually recieving the card CANNOT be a months gap .

Yes I know there is an App , but Im not one of those who totally relies on having a mobile with them 24hrs a day .

Even when I got a reply that at long last ,That my card was ready to go out. It wasnt issued / delivered . I then had to spend more time chasing it up .

Again another email was recieved saying it was on its way ,then another email saying that they could not find my details , even though all the infomation was at hand via previous emails AND was there clearly as soon as I logged in .

Customer service is very poor .

On another matter , when I tried to use the card at Currys , who at that time where offering 10% on the BLC page , they were only going to give 5% in store.

I hope that thing get sorted so that others dont have the same issues, but looking at reviews and on Fbook , it seems other are .

Simply not good enough .

The blue light card is great but trying to sort an issue for a parent not on line is impossible. Been trying for weeks no phone number and won’t let me help in line.

Wonderful, it has saved me so much money. Only once has it not worked but I use it all the time.
