Cancel order at will, so answer from customer service as to why...bad products and irratic pricing

June 14 ordered product but they cancelled themselves after 10 mins and didn't refund my money yet.when I asked hel they were telling to approach bank. But Bigbasket didnot refund my money and doing fraud .

I was excited to find a food product listed on Bigbasket which was out of stock elsewhere, so decided to set up an account . Their website and mobile application, however, would not find my location even when giving the complete address, listing other peculiar places instead.
So I called customer service. This was equally unhelpful: she advised me to 'try again and it will work.' (Someone is paid to do this job?)
I tried as suggested, entering my basic address, but it didn't work in any way. Reading Reddit, and other review sites revealed multiple similar experiences, plus a host of other complaints.
Needless to say, my Bigbasket will remain empty.

They are basically a cheater. Bought 5L Emami healthy and tasty kacchhi ghani oil on 10th June 2026. Found seal was broken and oil is also less. Seems to be pirated started cheating business.oil mixed. I am a regular customer for last five years. Presently they started cheating business.

Extremely disappointed experience with BigBasket. I received the wrong product and repeated attempts to get a resolution through customer support have not worked. This is unacceptable service quality.

Unfortunately Bigbasket has subtle ways of cheating customers. Shame on them.
And they think the TATA Brand will see them through their arrogance and indifference.
For large orders, some items are not delivered or a lesser weight/grammage is delivered. They charge more for their instant deliveries but take more than two hours to deliver without refunding the surcharge. And the absolute worst is delivering the wrong shampoo of the same brand which you don’t notice immediately and which happens to be a couple of hundreds cheaper. They have done the same with rice and they just say they cannot do anything about it now, and will ensure it doesn’t happen the next time. The sheer arrogance. Also while ordering, some items just get removed from the basket, or don’t get added on at the very end and you think your grand total includes those items as well. And it does not. And always, always, the invoice is modified and a new invoice with a larger amount is delivered. Shame on them to have gotten so arrogant and manipulative. It’s surprising that customers still think the TATA Brand is trustworthy. Well not anymore. Most of their products are substandard.

This has been a very disappointing experience. I ordered a fan from your platform, and the product is not working at all. However, your team is refusing to arrange a return or replacement and is instead asking me to directly approach the brand, stating that the item is non-returnable.

This is completely unacceptable and not the kind of service expected from a reputed e-commerce platform. A defective product being declared non-returnable without proper support is extremely frustrating. Such policies are not followed everywhere, especially when the product delivered is faulty.

I request you to kindly escalate this issue and arrange for a proper resolution at the earliest, either through replacement or full refund.

I ordered alphonso mangoes ,a pack of 5 to 6 kg approximately , the mangoes were overripe and lot of them rotten when cut ,after complaining on the customer care ,still waiting no response

I placed an Order this morning. The delivery agent come to our area but far from the location and called. I was trying to guide him and he started talking "Rudely"!
He took the order back and when I saw the status on the Order, it says delivered! What a worst service!

We get other agents to our building daily with no issues!
Our building is also located in Google with pictures.

I ordered a fan from bb in pune and it was delivered with wrong colour. It was mentioned as not returnable so i was not able to return by myself. Tried connecting for 2-3 days with customer support but always got scripted reply - your issue is escalated wait for some time. Its a waste of time and money. Worst customer experience ever

In Chennai, Adayar area, big basket sends items very poorly packed. For instance if we order 4 or 5 bottles of Kinley soda, they put in one bag and when delivered the bag is partially or completely torn due to weight and also moisture on the bottle. The delivery person blames the manager as he doesn’t does not instruct to put them in two bags. He saves on bags.

Worst e-commerce platform with unprofessional, stupid and useless customer care people. Frauds just cancel order anytime. Too much delays in delivery. Delivers spoilt, rotten and opened items. Pathetic and unreliable app where vouchers and coupons are useless. No resolution on issues, even escalation team are worse, they blame customers for their app or delivery problems. Would never recommend Bigbasket. Plenty of reliable ecommerce sites are available, better to go there.

The WORST customer service ever! My milk n curd subscription has not been delivered for a week! I canceled my subscription but they refuse to refund my money! Lots of promises of being contacted by an escalation team in 24hours but no action. Definitely don’t recommend - please use other online e-commerce retailers

Despite the promise of 12-minute delivery, the order was delivered after 45 minutes, and that too only after making FOUR calls to the delivery partner.
This is not a delay — this is false commitment and misleading service.
What’s the point of advertising “quick delivery” if you cannot deliver even simple grocery items on time? Customers plan based on your promises. Repeated failures like this show a serious decline in reliability.
If this continues, I will seriously consider taking this matter to the consumer forum. Customers should not be taken for granted.

Biggest disappointment with BigBasket.
I ordered bread and floor cleaner, and later requested to cancel only the bread. Instead, they randomly cancelled my entire order.
What’s worse is the customer support response — the executive casually said it’s a “system bot” and they have nothing to do with it. Seriously? Blaming a bot instead of taking responsibility is not acceptable. Are customers supposed to just accept mistakes like this?
If you’re going to say the bot doesn’t understand, then why are you even in the market? If your system can’t handle basic requests and ends up doing random things and blunders, that’s a serious issue.
And now the refund timeline is 9 days, which is honestly frustrating.
Platforms like Swiggy Instamart, Zepto, Blinkit, Flipkart Minutes, and Amazon Now offer a much better customer experience and faster refunds.
Very careless experience. Definitely not recommending this app to anyone.

They are disgusting and pathetic when it comes to repaying money.. they will put money in the wallet hoping that the customer will use it to buy again.. after dozens of reminders, they sent it back to my account.. pathetic service in Bangalore.. Very very bad service..they just bill even if they don't have the item and money is locked with them until we keep reminding.. Nothing short of thievery
