Exact same experience as everyone else. Helmet wasn't to my liking, I asked to return the helmet. Had no replies after 2 weeks of chasing. Spent £7.99 sending the helmet back to Northern Ireland and £5 on a 'restocking fee' (this isn't legal). Have had no confirmation of them receiving the helmet...very worried as I paid £80 for it. No one is answering the phone despite stating that its manned all day on weekdays, also had no emails reply since. I'm going to go ahead and escalate this with my bank and trading standards. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

Similar experience to everyone else. Ordered a helmet, was too small. Asked about getting a refund and they said they charged a "restocking fee". Pointed out this was not legal then they started to ignore me.
Returned the helmet at my own expense, they have received it but have still not refunded me. Will be contacting my bank and trading standards via citizens advice. I advise others to do the same!

It's a shame, because I was actually considering ordering other things from them but will make sure to review them everywhere so others can avoid being ripped off!

Update - eventually (after writing this review) I got a partial refund. They still insist on this restocking fee despite it costing ~£15 to post the helmet back to them. When I continued to query they started ignoring me again. Shockingly unprofessional outfit, I still recommend everyone steers clear of them!

Zero stars in fact! Ordered a helmet online, which ended up being too small. They do not provide return shipping labels. Rather, they send you an address in Ireland and make you pay the return shipping fees with the promise to refund the money. I shipped the helmet from Germany (with tracking number) for 25 EUR! Never saw a refund although I sent Bern the receipt several times and sent repeated reminders. German shipment requirements didn't make it better: 2 weeks later, DHL returned the package and made me pay another 25 EUR penalty fees because the box was "not packaged appropriately" (I used the same wrapping it came with. Ended up giving up on the whole endeavor after paying 70 EUR for a helmet that doesn't fit and an extra 50 EUR in shipping costs. Definitely don't buy from them online!!!

Schlechter Kundenservice!! Haben so lange Mails bzgl. Rückabwicklung rausgezögert, dass - trotz Kontaktaufnahme mit Klarna - Mahngebühren entstanden sind! Nachdem sich die Fachabteilung bei Klarna eingeschaltet hat, haben sie endlich geantwortet!! Viel schlimmer - auch wenn es Berne Europe heißt: Teurer Retourerückversand nach Nordlirland, Einlagerungsgebühr 5£ und 10£ für jede Verpackung wenn sie beschädigt ist! Auch wenn man sie ordnungsgemäß zurück geschickt hat kann man also nie nachweisen ob sie heile angekommen ist und mögliche Versandschäden der Verpackung werden dem Kunden zu Lasten gelegt! Zusätzlich falsche Rechnungsstellung über Klarna!! Angeblich kamen zu den 108,10 € noch Versandkosten hinzu, obwohl diese in der Berne Rechnung bereits dort enthalten sind!! Soll statt 108,10€ 125,95€ zahlen - wofür weiß ich bis heute nicht!!! Teuerster Helm ever! Nie wieder!!!

I should have read the reviews. First, their "bike helmet" came with a disclaimer that it is a "multi-sport" helmet that is not approved for bikes. Real trouble to get a refund. They even have special address that cost a lot more to send to. Haven't gotte a hold of any real customer service apart from autogenerated emails. Their helmets are not even cheap. If you want their helmet I suggest buying from a reputable retailer never from berneurope.com. I bought my helmet in May and still chasing the refund. I assume I'll have to get my refund through Paypal resolution centre.

Versand dauert ewig und der „Kundensupport“ ist, um es freundlich auszudrücken, unerreichbar. Antworten kommen höchstens nach Monaten.

Rücksendungen werden empfangen, Rückzahlungen gibt es jedoch keine. Habe das Problem nun bei PayPal gelassen, nachdem über mehrere Monate kein Geld zurückgezahlt wurde.

Lasst die Finger davon!

Shipping takes ages and the "customer support" is, to put it kindly, unreachable. Answers come after months at most.

Returns are received, but there are no refunds. I have now left the problem with PayPal after no money has been refunded for several months.

Kepp your hands away!

I wish I'd read the reviews before ordering. I paid £118 for a helmet which comes with an led light. The light does not work. I contacted bern, no reply. Having read the reviews I am not confident they will replace this item, or even get in touch.
Eventually I took advice from the Citizens Advice Bureau and send an actual letter asserting my consumer rights. A replacement light arrived within a few days.

Still awaiting a refund from 12th December,first they would reply with excuses. now they do not reply!!!!

Truly awful company. I ordered a helmet liner which is supposed to come with a goggles clip and bandana. Neither the clip or bandana were included in the package when it arrived.

I contacted them 3 times before they bothered to reply. They then asked me to send them photos - not sure of what - the items they didn't send me perhaps?

They still haven't sent me the items I've paid for.

Truly appaling customer service, avoid buying from them.

My helmet hasn't arrived, 4 weeks later (and counting) lots of emails, they are not replying. I guess they have stolen £90 from me! A Complete scam how they can get away with operating,

Ordered Helmet in November (it's January now) it arrived a week later and was a different helmet to the one I had ordered, I contacted them straight away and I have had no reply for 10 weeks, still no acknowledgement, still no refund and stuck with a helmet we cant use and I didn't order- cant quite believe it - £90 I spent on this!!

Ich rate ab davon, hier etwas zu bestellen. Der Kundenservice ist sehr, seeehr schlecht. Ich habe einen Helm bestellt und es wurde ein Fehler bei den Papieren für die Einfuhr nach Deutschland gemacht. Es wird aus England verschickt... also wird Zoll fällig. Der Zoll hat den Helm daher zum Absender zurückgeschickt. Es wurde behauptet Ich hätte den Artikel erhalten. Dann wurde ich teilweise wochenlang vom Kundenservice ignoriert. Ca. 20 Emails und 3 Monate später habe ich eine Rückzahlung erhalten. Allerdings wurden mir 18 Euro für den gescheiterten Versandversuch berechnet.

Big scam. They sent the order to an incomplete delivery address so Royal Mail couldn't deliver. I contacted their customer service but after the first reply in which they said they will get it sorted, they went silent. The order was never redelivered and my chassing attempts all hit a wall of silence. So still no refund or product. Don't recommend.

Ordered helmet. Got shipping notice. Then nothing. Eventually checked my order in their store and was marked as 'return accepted'. I emailed their support, no reply. Then got an automated email that I was due a refund, minus shipping cost. I emailed again several times. I never received a helmet, never mind returned it. And have never received a reply. And am out of pocket by the cost of postage (assuming I get any refund). Feels like a scam.
