When I first decided to sell my business...
When I first decided to sell my business I was approached by several companies, but Benchmark stood out to have every area covered and extremely professional. It seemed like a gamble at the time, but on reflection it was the best move that I made. I'm pretty sure that without the backing and support of the team at Benchmark, the sale would not have gone through. The process of selling a business is something that I can't put into words as there is so, so much to it you will not believe it unless you have been through it. Good service and a great result
I was slightly wary of engaging an M&A firm to support the acquisition of the business having been approached by other agencies in the past and read unfavourable reviews. The approach from Benchmark came at just the right time and initial conversations helped to alleviate my concerns.
I received excellent service from James and his team - they made the whole process as straightforward as it could ever be and took plenty of time at each stage to make sure I was comfortable with what was happening. They managed to attract a good level of interest in the business and we ended up with several decent offers, one of which was exactly the type of buyer I was hoping for.
I was pleased with the overall deal and glad that I trusted my instincts and allowed Benchmark to help me. The costs of using an M&A firm like Benchmark might initially appear high when viewed in isolation, however they achieved good results and I think represented good value.

Sale of Access Community Services Ltd
I met with Adam Palmer with a view of selling my social care company.
Within one month they had put together the IM and our first meeting with a prospective purchaser was within the first month.
Both James Sloane and Roger Forshaw worked diligently to organise meetings and push the deal along.
Unfortunately, Covid 19 had other ideas and paused the sale for a period of time.
As Covid settled down, we recommenced our negotiations with our preferred purchaser and completed the deal.
Well done both of you for your diligence and professionalism it has been a pleasure working with you both - I shall miss the calls!!!
