Samantha and her team at Benchmark were proficient and helpful throughout the selling process, and most especially when it came to engage with the buyer at the point of offer.
From introducing a pragmatic and very experienced lawyer (Alex at Templebright) that dealt with the legal aspects of the transaction, through to guiding the process at every step of the journey.
These transactions can be emotionally charged, and in most cases I imagine, only occur once or twice in a lifetime. So having someone (Samantha) who was calm informative professional and definitely had our best interests at heart, was not just helpful, but imperative in closing a solid transaction for both parties. Clear explanations and support were freely given at each call and each step. Samantha was still there making useful contributions in her calm supportive way after the deal went through, following up to ensure everything was going well.
Wouldn’t it be wonderful if all professional advisors were like them? This is a tough time for the seller of a lifetimes work, and the team there didn’t forget that or take the emotional aspect lightly. If you are selling, or thinking of doing so, then this would be a good call to instruct them.

After building my business up over many years, it took a while to decide to sell it. Benchmark had been in my mind to use to a while as they had many good reviews. I did wonder if I actually needed to use a company to sell my business but I can honestly say, nothing prepares you for that journey. Without Benchmark by my side I'm not sure the deal would have gone through. A special thank you to Andrew, who put up with my limited understanding and stressed state at times!

Great service from start to finish

Would like to say a huge thank you to James & Alex and the rest of their colleagues for getting the sale over the line.
The Company was not an easy sell, operating in the W.African Oil & Gas sector as we do and after being hit badly by the pandemic, but we got there in the end, despite several false starts.
I found Benchmark's help invaluable when actually negotiating the transaction and drawing up terms of sale to protect seller's interests.

I signed up in November 2019, just before the pandemic. They suggested it would take 2 years to sell my company. With the 2-year pandemic, I reckoned on 4 years or maybe a bit longer. Nevertheless, without embellishment...I paid a £12k up front fee for nothing. Biggest dupe I ever fell for. Feckless, incompetent, a trail of errors and failures and they constantly used their junior staff to handle my account, with the worst copywriting ever. I had to re-write it myself. Then a gap of 14 months without any contact from them, proving that they do not try to sell your company. I could go on. Anyone considering using this rabble should think again. Benchmark, do not insult me further, by responding to this review.
