Beaver Soil ‘N’ Mulch Limited Arvostelua 

I Would give a rating of zero if I could . Had my money . Didn’t deliver my bark chippings which were meant to come within 5 days .8 weeks later and still not delivered and Won’t answer phone or emails and now the website has gone . Avoid this place like the plague

The soil delivered was great product and reasonably priced. Delivery was delayed quite a bit but the company kept me updated and did offer to cancel order if I preferred that option. Will be reordering

I contacted Beaver to find our what compost would suit my needs best. Basically I just wanted general potting compost that would be good for seeds, potting on and in tubs. I tried phoning but gave up after 17 mins on hold. So I emailed them and had a very short reply saying I needed general purpose compost (I already knew that, but the descriptions aren't clear on their website). I placed my order and I'm afraid I can't remember which one it was. I didn't get an email confirmation or receipt from them, plus their website seems to have gone off air at the time of writing this review.
I paid extra for next day delivery - I ordered it on Thusday and it arrived on Monday (so not quite next day delivery). The delivery driver couldn't have been more helpful though.

The compost itself is very chunky, it could do with rotting down more. It has quite a lot of big fibre/straw in it and what looks like lumps of horse poo. So not suitable for seeds/seedlings. I've potted my tomatoes up in it and whilst it seems nutritious it doesn't retain water very well and brown water runs out instantly.
The compost has lots of tiny white bugs running around in it. I've chosen to ignore tfem and hope they're not baddies!
I have to say the larger plants like squashes have developed a lovely root system, however it's not what I would call general purpose compost.
Hopefully it will rot down a bit further as I probably won't use it all this year.

So whilst I received it not quite on time it wasn't that far out of date.
It's OK for a lot of plants but not for seeds or seedlings (I resorted to buying compost from a garden centre)
The company are a nightmare to contact and with no email confirmations or receipts you are kind of left high and dry if you need help or have a problem with your order.

Couldn’t score them lower, that’s what they deserve. Atrocious customer service.

Delivered efficiently, good standard

Atrocious business. Two orders, two charges, missed delivery, no communication of any kind. Order cancellation requested - no response. Now we're out of pocket and no sign of BeaverCompost at all.

Effectively these people just stole over 700 pounds from us. There's no other way to describe the experience except as your typical online scam. I don't know if they really operate a business, but it sure didn't look that way from our point of view.
Please do bear this in mind.

The product was good when it eventually got to me but their delivery schedule was abysmal. When I ordered my compost I explained that I was on a tight schedule but I then had a failed delivery again and again. On phoning after waiting for over 45 minutes a nice lady told me that they were sorry but they had suffered a mechanical failure on the loading machine? I was forced to explain that I was going away and would not be available for their next suggested delivery date and was forced to defer for a week later which would have been for a Monday, nothing arrived until Wednesday but it did arrive and the product was as described

Ordered back in May, nothing and now the website is down so can’t even find contact details. Going to place as a disputed charge with my bank and see if that wakes them up

Everything from Beaver soil 'N' Mulch went smoothly from order to delivery.
The top soil was good as expected and the bag of vegetable compost had so much manure within that it was actually hot inside, it did have plenty of other elements making it very rich and perfect for the use described. I would recommend Beaver soil n mulch and wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

Awful service product was full of stones never again would I buy from them

Really late delivery, struggled for a while to get anyone to answer the phone. Was not kept up to date with the order. This was for a customer. Could not recommend.

Bought the soil, paid extra for next day delivery. Soil didn't come back on time, never got the money back.
When soil arrived 1 bag was missing.
Thought that can happen.
On my second purchase had to wait for a month for my soil (2-5 days delivery apparently)
They don't answer emails. Tried calling them many times unsuccessfully.
Been on hold for 2 hours just to hear same excuses.
Soil contains all sorts of materials (glass, plastics, aluminium foil, string)

Decent compost,delivery a month late. Communication abrupt and unhelpful. Delivery charge to Scotland. Delivery company sent Ill equipped vehicle with stressed older driver. It's not hard to deliver builders bags,we get them regularly. Never again.

Very pleased with quality of compost. It took a long time for delivery, worth waiting for but hope it will arrive quicker next time.

I ordered 1400 Lt and only 1000lt turned up , when I emailed to notify Beaver no one got back to me - plus it got delayed delivery x 3 times .

The mushroom compost was good
Delivery despatch was rather slow though!

After experiencing some lengthy delivery delays and uncertainties (no doubt the result of the country's delivery driver and fuel problems), the mulch eventually arrived and all was good. Thank you.

After waiting two months for three large bags, I am now requesting a refund. What a shame, their stuff was good when I had it before….
