Amazing customer service experience.
Having read Google reviews and being a first time buyer, I was a little bit nervous ordering but all the Google reviews seemed legit (people with over 70 reviews rather than just 1). So as it was my brother-in-laws birthday soon and he loves his BBQ's, I thought I'd order something for him and a little bit for me.
Ordering was no issue over the Bank Holiday and I got confirmation of my order being sent with tracking, so far so good. Until it arrived.
Opening it up, two bottles of sauce weren't there and instead two bottles of a flavour I wasn't keen on at all (putting it mildly) were. B**ger thought I, he'll have more than I will cos I won't touch them. So I thought I'd send an email basically saying there was a mistake, first time customer, not a good experience. I was never rude, a bit sarcastic but never went full Karen - just letting them know that it wasn't right and that's not great.
Shockingly, about 90 mins later I got a phone call (I mean I get phone calls all the time but......). BBQ Gourmet called me and said they got my email and just wanted to clarify. I explained I got 0 of what I ordered and 3 (not 1) of something else which wasn't my cuppa. "OK no worries, I'll get that out to you today for tomorrow and I'll kick someone's backside" I was informed. Great for the sauce, not so much someone's badonkadonk.
This morning, before 10am, knock on the door with a package - 2 bottles of the correct sauce. Happy as Larry I am (I assume Larry the Lamb but who knows). Sauces I actually LIKE.
So - while everyone writes reviews mostly going "Excellent" or "They done f**ed up", mine's both. Sure there was an error, I informed them without sounding all Hannibal Lecter and they had the decency to call, fix and fix quickly and for that, I would definitely recommend and definitely will buy from again.
