GPU failed in less than a month. NO customer service!

My ASRock Challenger Arc B580 12GB GPU failed in less than a month. I went through their RMA channels are returned it. Waited for two months, sent them numerous emails to their "Customer Disservice" asking where my replacement was, ALL were ignored. When I finally got my replacement it died after only hours of use! Now they want me to RMA that! Great, another two months just to have that one fail too! I think the card is called "Challenger" because its a challenge to get one that will work. I just want my money back. Sent an email to ASRock about that too, so far, BIG SURPRISE, no reply. This company is horrible! All my future builds will NEVER have another inferior ASRock product contaminate the case! I'm so sick of companies that treat consumers like they don't matter!

7900xtx gpu AMA experience

I am the owner of an AMD Radeon Taichi white 7900xtx graphics card. When using it I noticed that the temp variants (core temp vs hotspot) often had a 50-60 degree difference with the hotspot sitting at 110c under moderate load. I have a hyte y70 case so space is not the issue.

I contacted customer support who sent me to a technician who suggested I rma the card who sent me back to customer service who helped me process the rma. They gave me a 30 day voucher to send it back. I sent it back on day 23 and the mail service took way longer than expected to get it to them. They accepted and processed the request anyway.

They offered me a replacement within 2 days, then acknowledged they have reduced hours for the holiday season. They pulled packages and shipped my rma completely within less than a week.

ASRock hardware hit or miss

ASRock hardware offers solid performance for the price, and my initial build experience was smooth.

The major issue is customer support. When a problem arose, getting help was a frustrating ordeal. Communication was slow, generic, and ineffective, creating a feeling of being ignored. The support process seems designed to delay rather than resolve.

You might get a perfectly good product, but if anything goes wrong, you're largely on your own. For reliable long-term support, other brands are a safer choice.

Brilliant product and support

Superb Motherboard and the two issues I had were not issues but my misreading of lights and mistaking Temp for debug numbers. Support was really quick and efficient, same day response.

Waiting for 2 months - So frustrating !

I bought a highquality graphic card on 9th December 2024 from Awd-It , UK (Online)
Inspite of many options, I chose AsRock brand because of the best reviews and the quality.

The same developed a faulty and informed this to Awd-it on the 25th Feb 25. As publish, Awd-It advertise a 3 year manufacturer warranty for it’s items. AsRock too offers 3 years warranty throughout Europe and US.

However, at this moment I am so frustrated for waiting for 2 months, just to get my warranty sorted.
I have to insist the after sale service has not lived up to the level of AsRock perceived in the market through Awd-It.

I first contacted Awd-It on the 25th February, after few weeks, I was told to contact AsRock which I did. Then I had to wait for weeks from AsRock to hear asking me to contact Awd-It which I did for the 2nd time and waited few weeks to get a response asking me again to contact AsRock again.

So, I contacted AsRock again for the 2nd time and now I am asked to contact Awd-It again for the 3rd time by them.

Do you honestly think this is fair ? Should I get penalised for trusting AsRock brand and buying it from the official online sales channel Awd-It?

Since 25th Feb, I have lost access to my desktop making my day-today commitments so miserable.

I simply don’t understand why should I wait this long to get a simple service sorted out.

Service is long

I want to share my opinion of interacting with their support service. The initial response by email was pretty quick and informative, the email converstation quickly ended and we made a conclusion that i need to send my board for RMA to Ontario, and it took 1-3 days. They didn't provided me shipping label only instractuion so i had to pay for delivery by myself even board is failing not of my fault. After i sent they recieved it on 04th march and today 17th of match i hadn't heart anything from them yet. I found such long term unacceptable to force customer sit without PC and make other parts gather dust - 0/5.

I owned a lot of pc's and gaming…

I owned a lot of pc's and gaming machines in my time. My ASRock desktop is the most expensive machine I've ever bought, ~£3k, and quite frankly the worst machine I've ever owned.

Put it under minimal load, a game like WoW, and it constantly blue screens, it's literally only good for surfing the net.

I spent months chatting with these guys, they had it back at one point and told me they could find nothing wrong with it. They blamed everything but their own machine - 'Its your peripherals etc', and at one point they tried to blame my power supply. I've still got a 10yr old laptop I run games on with no problems.

Take my advice and avoid at all costs!

I bought a H670M Pro RS motherboard and a Wi-Fi chip. When I opened the motherboard, I realized that the housing apparatus for the chip was not included. Now the website said that the motherboard does not come with a Wi-Fi module, cool I knew that, so I bought a chip, but I didn’t know that I needed the piece that attached to the motherboard. I have the one from my old motherboard, but I didn’t know what to do with it.

So, I called customer support to ask how to install the chip. The person I talked to, who seemed to want to get me off the phone as quickly as possible, told me that the module did come with WIFI, and I did not need to buy that chip, I just needed to update the drivers. I went and installed the drivers, and I still had no WIFI which did not surprise me, but I am not a computer company’s tech support person, so I took him at his word. I called back and he, the same guy I had talked to before, said if that had not worked, I would need to reinstall windows so that everything could sync up. I asked if he was sure, and he said yes and gave me instructions on how to reinstall windows which I then went and did. When I finally got everything downloaded and up and running, I see that the version of windows I just got needed to be activated, a message that appears in my window and does not go away, even while gaming or watching something, this would cost $180 and, until fixed, would lack basic features that I had with my original version, including security measures that have left me vulnerable.

That was Friday, ASRock is closed on the weekend. It’s Monday, life is busy, and I have a big stupid cord running through my living room because my Wi-Fi is still not working. I call ASRock and speak to a person who immediately tells me that the motherboard does not come with WIFI. So now I’m mad right away and I tell this guy everything I’ve told you. He told me that they had no phone records of me calling in and that no one would have told me to do that stuff. So now I’m struggling and failing to stop myself from becoming furious. “So, what I’m feeling is that no one is going to take responsibility for this?” He said he wasn’t calling me a liar, but I had not called in and no one had told me that. Well, here are my phone records you piece of $#&$! Here’s the chip that I had bought and called in to ask how to install!

This has been my worst experience with a computer company to date. Well computers are about to get real expensive and I would assume that ASRock wants to hold on to customers so if any of them read this, I want my $180, I want the help I needed, which was information on installing the unit, and I want someone at ASrock to admit that not just one, but two of their “support” staff were talking out of their AS.

I got the rx 7900 xtx from ASRock I have this weird sound sounded like electric sound or something didn't exactly know why I had the sound but I thought it was just a normal GPU sound that working a bit harder than usual because when I start games the sound gets louder and stronger after some months I started my PC and went to the other room the sound of the fan was so high I thought I had the window open and a tractor was outside working on something I went back to close the window that was not even open and understood that the graphic card was broken and the sound is the defective fan I reached out to AMD they told me to reach out to ASRock so I did but ASRock wanted me to send them the card that I use daily for a fan replacement they don't trust a video I sent them off the card and the sound it makes just send a freaking fan and I have a warranty! Let's not talk about the fact I have 40° between my normal temperature and the hotspot temperature isn't that affected? AMD they said it wasn't normal and the vapor chamber can have a problem but as rock told me that it was normal honestly I don't believe them they want to charge me 55 euros for a freaking small fan! Under the warranty they're ready to pay for the shipment for the card front and back but they won't send me a fan they want me to pay for the shipment and the fan I know one thing I will never recommend you to anyone anymore and I will never build PCs that have anything from you. Extremely disappointed.

Excellent customer support

Excellent customer support!

Purchased an ASROCK motherboard and had trouble installing Windows 11 - contacted support for help installing from USB onto M.2 NVMe SSD. Replied within a few hours. Wasn't an AS-ROCK issue but misleading instructions from the microsoft Windows 11 site - guess microcrap don't check their instructions !

Ein sehr schlechter Service

Ein sehr schlechter Service. Hatte eine Frage bezüglich Komponenten für das ASRock x99 Mainboard an den technical Support gestellt und lediglich eine generierte Standart antwort erhalten. Darin Stand, dass ich mich an den Verkäufer wenden soll! Daher dies schlechte Bewertung!

Goede customer support

Afgelopen maart heb ik een rx 7900 xtx Phantom Gaming van Asrock aangeschaft. Hiermee vroeg ik mij af hoe de pinout van de RGB header eruit zag. Dit wilde ik gebruiken om een adapter te maken zodat ik de RGB van de kaart zou kunnen aanpassen met de software van mijn moederbord. Bij Asrock America heb ik met John gesproken, die voor mij heel netjes het diagram heeft opgevraagd bij hq. De volgende dag had ik het diagram in mijn inbox zitten. Erg goede ervaring!

Einfach grandios, immer wieder ASRock

Ich nutze jetzt seit fast 5 Jahren ASRock und muss einfach sagen das ich sehr zufrieden bin.
Angefangen hat alles mit einen z390 Taichi aber als ich das durch ein z490 Aqua ersetzt habe war ich mehr als überrascht.
Die Verarbeitung ist sehr gut und nie Probleme mit Treiber oder BIOS Update auch die Verarbeitung von CPU Block ist grandios mit super Kühlleistung.
Seit ein paar Wochen habe ich ein z690 Aqua mit 12900k auch dort (wie schon bei dem z490 Aqua) ist die Verarbeitung mehr als perfekt und alles funktioniert reibungslos und in Sachen Kühlleistung des CPU Block's können sich so manche Hersteller eine Scheibe abschneiden zudem mag ich es das relativ wenig RGB verbaut ist.

Einmal kurz ein Problem gehabt, Email geschrieben und noch cht einmal 1H später schon eine Antwort bekommen 👍
Bitte ASRock macht weiter so 👍👍👍

Fantastic european tech support!

I have bricked my motherboard due to a beta firmware, but ASRock Europe Technical Support got back to me extremely quick, sent me guide and hardware to perform a BIOS EEPROM flashing/downgrade, so I managed to resurrect my motherboard.

Constant and quick mailing got me over the situation, and it was a new experience that a company did not treat me as a tech illiterate, asked me if I could perform this process, and let me handle the task instead of mailing my full board, which is the usual case with other manufacturers.

I will make sure to recommend ASRock to other people and keep it as my number one brand for mobos!

Thank you for you work, and carry on!

Really impressed with support!

Contacted Asrock support on two occasions about a X570 board which is now out of warranty period. They sent extension cable for USB 3 header and spare southbridge fan without any charge.

5 stars from me, great experience with company that values support.

Deceptive, poor QA/product, no CS, will lie

This company has taken the typical trend these days, in that it's cheaper to just sling trash and provide little customer support until you will simply give up. It is actively hiding product defects, making it extremely difficult and more trouble than it's worth to try and an RMA claim.

What can be improved? It's fairly obvious, not doing any of the very obviously deceptive practices and selling reliable products.

Mijn 7800XT had wat issues, dit is door Peter bij Asrock geweldig opgepakt. Heeft extra moeite gedaan voor mij om een vervangende kaart te regelen. Totaal niet zoals andere RMA processen die ik in het verleden bij andere wel eens heb gehad.
