A collection of Mod influenced menswear including slim fit button down shirts and knitwear inspired by the sixties. In 1996 East London Mods Alex Banks and Christopher Lord formed the Art Gallery DJ Collective – featuring Lady Michelle, Flaz, Cess and Graeme Very – to spin a mix of 60’s Soul, Beat, Jazz and Psych. Art Gallery launched their first club night The Beat Bubble Ball on December 22nd 1996 at The Clinic in China Town followed in 1997 by a stint guesting at Paul Hallam’s Popcorn night at the 100 Club on Oxford Street. For the next five years Art Gallery ran the now-legendary Lordy Lord! – a club famous for its soulful tunes. The nights we’re hot, sweaty and packed to the rafters. Art Gallery launched their clothing range next. The rest is history.

Mod inspired knitwear and shirts from Art Gallery Clothing

I've purchased from Art Gallery Clothing on a few occasions already and each time the style, quality and fit is spot on. If you're looking for modernist and sixties style shirts and knitwear you can't go wrong. The customer service is also great and they release new designs each season.

I ordered from three other companies at the same time. Your order was the first to arrive, by a country mile.
Quality of goods is always so very fine. I’ve went for shirts this time, instead of knitwear, lovely quality, great detail. Handsome.

Good quality , measurements are all wrong if your normally XL you’d need XXXL to hopefully fit.
