APILayer Arvostelua 

Double billed me for months, and billed me again after cancelling my subscription. Then cut my remaining subscriptions off a week early (that we already paid) without notice and left my application with downtime which cost our business thousands of dollars.

Non-existent customer service.
I am trying to get a response for two weeks so far.

I only get automatic responses:

Your request (#) has been received and will be reviewed by our support staff on the next workday.

Poor product combined with horrible customer service.

Nasty clauses in their standard SaaS contract and legal threats for debt collectors following auto renew. Extortion artists, in my opinion. Stay away.

Cancelled subscription and removed card. Then subscription continued on a paid plan which we never selected.

Escalating robotic emails now threatening legal action. Despite responding with evidence, the threats continue and do not address anything we have mentioned.

I can only assume their responses are canned.

APILayer auto-renew their service without any warning. They ask you to cancel IN WRITTING 30 days before, you better write it down yourself as they won't tell you before it's due. They moved away from Paypal since Paypal was probably protecting their customers from them. Now they keep sending baseless legal action to force a payement for a service not used since ages. They don't reply to any request about more information just keep threatening. Avoid at any cost.

Die Erfahrung mit Marketstack, bzw. Apilayer, schockiert mich mittlerweile.

Seit Beginn des zweiten Halbjahres können auf einmal und ohne Ankündigung wohl keine ETF-Werte mehr abgerufen werden, zumindest teilte das der Support nach einer Anfrage mit. Diese Antwort erhielt ich übrigens erst nach 10 Tagen und drei Rückfragen aufgrund einer ausbleibenden Antwort.

Auch der fehlende Abruf von ETF-Werten ist überraschend, da dieser ein halbes Jahr funktionierte, entsprechende Werte auch in der Stock Search auf der Anbieterwebsite ausgegeben werden und eine solche Einschränkung nicht in der Produktbeschreibung zu finden ist.

Ein halbes Jahr lief fast alles gut, aber jetzt... Apilayer nie wieder

Stop. Don't trust this service. I asked for cancellation, but still taking money from my bank account. Did cancelled via my creditcard company, but they are scam.

Absolutely terrible customer support

I am a paid customer, I use this API to support my App, then suddenly one of the API stops updating data. I sent an example to point out the obvious bug in their service, but did not receive any response days after I contacted their support.

You can not relay your business on this.

checked the JSON-API out, so far ok, but many data missing (for example: Ex-Dividend days Maersk, Denkmark not complete and many data of european stocks)
Asked for cancelling my subscription since several days, several times on three email channels - until now, absolute no answer - hopefully here after this post.. (?)

Scraper API suddenly broke after a few weeks
it seems to be on purpose it seems they have started blocking all none image / text MIME types
i've been reading the API Info & Documentation
in order to confirm if these changes have been made clear. they have not.
Not only will they break your product halfway thou your payment plan rendering the service you paid for useless. they will not give a heads up before doing so. Nor will they label these warning any wherefor any new customers unaware of these rather odd and nonsensical limitations
Do not spend your money here

APILayer increased our subscription price overnight, without any notice, nor did they get our approval for the increased price. Contacting their support has yielded no response in nearly 2 months - and they're making it impossible to cancel the subscription on their site.
We'll be reporting APILayer to the police and seeking chargebacks for the fraudulent charges on our card.
It's unfortunate that a company is allowed to continue to operate in this manner. Highly recommend against using them for anything.

Edit: Interesting that APILayer can respond to a public post after 2 days yet have ignored us for 2 months in their support and our email request to cancel has gone unanswered as well. We have deleted our account now in an attempt to ensure against any further charges, since it was impossible to cancel our subscription.
The product we were using was IPStack.

Stay away from these scammers. Similar to other bad reviews, their support is unresponsive, won't cooperate in allowing me to cancel my subscription, and now they are sending me harshly worded collections emails. I never even used the service once, but paid for several years without realizing they were charging me, and they are constantly hounding me to pay my supposedly past due bill.

No issues using the product or the marketplace

My developers installed the currency convertor API for our site and it's working pretty good. Great customer service. Thank you!

Looks like a scam. After purchasing data from MarketStack (via ApiLayer), I found that data is of exceptionally poor quality. Immediately tried to cancel this subscription, ApiLayer was unresponsive. Had to freeze card most of the times, because they try to charge few times every day. Next step is to fill FTC report, because I'm not feeling safe leaving my card unfrozen due to these scammers.

P.S. Answer from ApiLayer below is a blatant lie, I can show screens of dozens of their tries to charge the card for that "free" plan.

Awful, unreliable service - stay away. Subscription and billing pages on the website are constantly down so you can't change your billing information or troubleshoot when something goes wrong with their service, which it often does. Still no reply from customer service after months. Nope.
