Easy shipping of personal goods from UK to Australia
Not a conventional full house move overseas. My parent’s house was being cleared and I wanted a small number of sentimental items sent to Australia, including one item of furniture. Australian company dragging its feet, I had a limited time frame to work with, phoned Anglo Pacific and spoke to Michael who immediately set my mind at ease - he answered all my queries without me needing to ask! Packing and collection details right through to all possible import and quarantine scenarios in Australia were all dealt with in that first phone call.
4 months later, all items have arrived safely at my home in Brisbane.

They packed all my items in London without me doing any thing and shipped it over to South Africa including my collection of 150 bottles of wine. We've received excellent service from Anglo Pacific and can honestly say the whole experience has been far less stressful than I expected — especially with an overseas move, which is always emotional.
Jack Connolly and Arman Amir were incredibly helpful from the start. I first contacted Anglo Pacific on 15 December, and by 7 January our storage unit had been packed and emptied exactly as planned. Arman kept me updated throughout with clear details about the shipment, vessel and expected arrival date, which really put my mind at ease.

Very professional service on more than one occasion
We’ve used Anglo Pacific twice now for international moves (once in 2016 and then again in 2025) and the service has been excellent. Dipak and Dominic were very professional, knowledgeable and friendly, and even helped us out with a last minute pick up of extra things before we left the UK (which meant moving other jobs around for us), so we were incredibly grateful for this. We are sorry that shipping your effects took longer than expected. This was certainly not deliberate, as holding your goods in storage also impacts us. Shipping schedules are dependent on vessel and container availability, which can unfortunately cause delays beyond our control.
Regarding the damage, while every care is taken when packing your items, it is regrettable that you experienced transit damage. Unfortunately, this can sometimes be unavoidable during transportation. The good news is that your shipment is insured, and we will submit a claim to the insurance provider so that your items can be repaired or replaced accordingly.

The worst company ever
The worst company ever. Stay away. Terrible costumer service, I had to phone them multiple times as they were not answering my emails. After collecting my box they realized they couldn’t ship it as I didn’t have a visa - which I have told them before. It’s been a nightmare to get my box back. I am still waiting for a refund but the lovely operator doesn’t reply to my email. They should close down.

If you value your sanity, do not use Anglo Pacific
We booked Anglo Pacific for our move from the UK to NZ. We’d used them before, and were impressed, so we thought we were safe using them again. However, this was not the case. Obviously things had changed in the 23 years between uses.
Firstly, the company that turned up at our house to pack our things were NOT Anglo Pacific; they were Intercity Removals. If we’d had sufficient wits about us (almost impossible when you’re having the entire contents of your house removed) we would have questioned this. They turned up in a van that was insufficient for the volume of things that we had. What’s more, one of them raced off soon after arriving at ours, in order to pick up some items from another customer. So there’d be even less room for ours. There was a little bit of a language barrier, which didn’t help, but the guys seemed to be packing things well. I have a LOT of books, and I really wanted to pack them myself, which I had done on the previous two occasions of moving overseas. Unfortunately, Intercity did not have enough small boxes, the size used for packing books, despite the fact that on our volume estimation sheet we had clearly stated that we had about 2 cubic metres of books. So once I’d used up the small boxes, the packers took over, and it wasn’t until we finally unpacked our things that I realised my books had been thrown into boxes first – willy nilly, I might add, not carefully packed – with other random objects on top.
They ran out of pre-printed stickers, so the last few items were scribbled on. Because the van wasn’t big enough, they had to leave some larger items behind. These were picked up a week later, and we were assured that they had joined the rest of our stuff, ready to be shipped.
Communication was poor. We had to keep prompting Anglo Pacific for updates.
Once our belongings were finally delivered, many things were missing, probably due to the incompetency in labelling, and a lot of them were expensive (a drop saw, a power drill, champagne glasses, a set of top-end cutlery, Sonos speakers, cast iron casserole pots). There were breakages and damage – a tool box had been stepped on and dented; a robust dining table had two of its legs broken, probably due to its being stored on its end, putting strain on the legs.
Totally and utterly unimpressed with Anglo Pacific, and Intercity Removals. We would never use them again, and certainly wouldn’t recommend them to anybody else. They displayed no respect whatsoever for our belongings, which you’d think would be a top priority for an international removal firm.
ADDITIONAL REMARKS FOLLOWING ANGLO-PACIFIC'S REPLY...
We're glad to hear that Intercity have been told to review their practices, but this doesn't help locate our missing items.

Anglo Pacific have been diligent, timeous, professional and friendly to deal with. Significant delay / additional hidden cost
We are extremely disappointed with the service provided by this company. Our shipment took over 21 weeks from collection, far beyond their estimated timeframe of 10–14 weeks, and during this entire period we received no updates whatsoever.
To make matters worse, we were suddenly contacted by their local partner and told we had to pay an additional delivery fee that was never included in the original quote. We were even threatened that our goods would not be delivered unless we paid immediately. With our belongings effectively being held hostage, we had no choice but to pay.
This experience has been deeply frustrating, and we do not believe their service level is professional. They should have provided updates regarding the delays and clearly informed us of any potential additional fees at the time of quoting.

Your shipment was quoted based on the most cost-effective shipping method, known as groupage or shared consignment. This means your goods are shipped alongside other families' items, and the shipment can only be dispatched once we have a full container. We always aim to meet delivery timeframes; however, due to the nature of groupage, dispatch times are dependent on container availability, and there are no guarantees.
We apologize for any lack of communication regarding your shipment's status. This issue has been highlighted internally, and we are committed to improving our updates to ensure you’re better informed in the future.
Please note that while all shipments are prioritized, we can only proceed once the container is full.
Regarding the additional charges for delivery, these apply to shipments that require delivery to a 7th-floor apartment. As indicated in our quotation, these types of deliveries involve extra effort and are considered beyond normal delivery service. This surcharge is standard for all such deliveries and is documented in advance in all our quotes.
