Really helpful surveyor who discussed with me in detail about the issues highlighted in survey report.
Survey was very comprehensive and thorough.

Excellent and knowledgeable structural engineer that visited. Spent time afterwards with a heads up on what we will see in the report. As we have a listed building it was important to us that we had someone with plenty of experience with this time of building. We await the report but so far, a brilliant service and happy to recommend this independent service. Thank you Abbas

We had a RICS Level 3 survey done and was very happy with the detail and quality of the report. It pointed out quite a few aspects where repair was needed, which now allows us to negotiate a reduced purchase price and also we know what we're getting ourselves into! Abbas who did the survey also kindly had a phone call with us to answer some questions we had which was incredibly helpful. I also appreciate that the price of the survey was competitive.

Great and friendly service provided by the Structural Engineer. All areas investigated and thorough investigation conducted. Multiple options and advice given, so the most feasible option can be selected. A quick appointment and report turnaround as well. A great experience overall.

We requested a level 3 but got a level 2
We requested and paid for a level 3 survey which was done on 27th March, paid for on the same day. We were initially told we'd receive the report within 4 working days, this was later changed to 5 to 7 working days which we had no issue with. We then received a level 2 report on 8th April. Had we requested a level 2 survey, we would have had no issue at this point as it was a good level 2 report. We also wouldn't have minded too much if they'd quickly acknowledged their error and provided a level 3 report over the coming days. We raised the issue on the same day and were then asked to provide proof that we had requested the level 3 as they said it was documented as a level 2. All our emails from both us and alpine surveys said level 3 and no mention of level 2 so we sent this on to them (even though they clearly had these emails already). They then agreed it was meant to be a level 3 and they would do it at some point. We weren't told what next steps were so we emailed on the 10th asking for an update. Further calls took place, during which we were told they were busy and no further visit to the home was needed but more information would be added to the report when they had time. On the 17th, we were finally told it would be ready on the 19th, when it did finally arrive at 6.25pm. Having waited so long for this report (and likely would have been longer if we hadn't kept making contact), this report was then disappointing. Some additional photos and changes of wording had been done. A 'summary of repairs and guidance' had been added which briefly listed just some of the repairs suggested, not mentioning other areas of concern documented in other areas of the report. There was an additional column for cost guidance which was empty. For a level 3 survey that we'd waited 15 working days for, we were expecting more. We're very disappointed in the service we received and don't feel we got what we paid for. We are now using another surveyor to answer our remaining questions as we are trying to purchase a house quickly and alpine surveys have been far from quick and/or helpful since the 8th April.

Having since read other bad reviews, I'm sure there will be a response to this review shifting all blame from the company onto us. I write far more 5* reviews than any other rating as I believe companies should be praised where praise is due but as someone that relies on reviews when choosing a company/service, I also think it is important to share when a company has provided a poor service.

Abbas was excellent. The report was really detailed and very well laid out. We contracted Alpine for a Level 3 building survey and impressed with not just the speed at which they managed to accommodate our request, but the level of care and time that Abbas took after the survey to answer our questions. This is a whole new process for us so it was a bit overwhelming but we really appreciated the frank and honest advice, as well as indicative costs to support us making the big decisions. Thank you. Would highly and absolutely recommend Abbas and Alpine.

I spent a whole day speaking to loads of different providers and alpine were by far the most friendly, efficient and helpful. Communication all the way through has been really good. Abbas was great, reassuring and efficient and thorough. I'd definitely recommend and would certainly use their services again.

Easy to make an appointment. Very professional fees agreed in advance, very speedy service engineer (Abbas) turned up ontime very friendly and knew what was needed to fix our issue. Overall good speedy service.

They sent an exhaustive intro to their services and what to expect including a sample report. They were able to book my survey within a couple of days and my final report was received a week later as promised.
