Alamo Rent A Car Arvostelua 

I rented Alamo through "car rentals.COM" and the experience has been perfect. I got a Hunday Accent, very economic and reliable car. The staff at the airport in Vegas has been very helpful. the price that I paied was exactly the same that I'de been told, so NO SURPRISES! very satisfied

Before I begin, let me clarify that the rental experience I now review was made in Argentina (El Calafate). But Alamo claims to be a worldwide Company and, therefore, should not allow regional operations like the one held by their franchisees in El Calafate, Argentina, to be their representatives. In summary: a real trap so that the Clients expend more than the combined rental amount, using lies and threats as a way to charge for extras. Renting defective cars and, then, mistreating Clients and charging unexisting extras to raise their profit margins. An excessive greed that does nothing more than harm Alamo's International image and brand. Keep away from Alamo in Argentina as they allow clumsy operations like the one at El Calafate to exist.

I hired a car (via agent Car Flexi) from Alamo Car Rentals at Calgary Airport YYC. When I ran into problems, they were excellent and the manager at the Calgary Airport branch went beyond the call of duty to resolve matters for me, and deserves a special mention on here. Well done that man!!

On Monday August 21st, my wife and I flew from Toronto to Chattanooga TN. We had reserved a car from Alamo to be picked up at the airport. We're were planning to drive north, about an hour, to see the total eclipse. When we arrived at the airport, we discovered that Alamo ignored our reservation and had no cars. They had overbooked. No one else in the city had cars either. The folks at Hertz told us that Alamo overbooked horribly and left 40 people or so stranded. Our trip was ruined. The eclipse was an hour's drive away and there was no way to get there outside of a very expensive taxi ride there and back. The people at the Alamo desk were rude and unsympathetic -- they told us that lots of people were in the same position. They offered no compensation. They just wanted us to go away. We never left the airport -- we took the next flight home. Alamo cost us a $2000 trip. That was our experience with Alamo Car Rental.

avevamo prenotato per un'auto a Montreal dall'Italia. Ci hanno +/- costretto a fare una seconda assicurazione con la scusa di darci un'auto maggiore. L'auto era davvero bella, più grande, ma 70 dollari non sono poco. Attenzione ai navigatori. NON hanno le mappe aggiornate! e poi sono programmate per zone panoramiche. e uscire dall'autostrada, in Canada significa percorrere km con stop ogni piè, con ritardi pazzeschi. Attenzione che all'aereoporto NON ci sono distributori benzina, come ovunque, così riconsegni l'auto e in automatico ti segnano un pieno al massimo prezzo. Ho dovuto pagare 58 dollari mezzo serbatoio! e non è scritto da nessuna parte. quindi prenotate l'auto e davanti all'addetto dite no a tutto!
