I find that I don’t use the vast majority of retailers, and the wait for a reward can be very long. The discount off my mobile phone bill is welcome when it eventually comes, but I am about to leave O2 because it’s too expensive and along with Virgin Media increases every year

Company getting greedy
Used to be good but Ts and Cs on a recent challenge meant I did not get a stamp towards a bonus as I had made 2 purchases straight after another. They appear to now be dropping the bonus system, sounds like they are like all companies getting greedy so I can no longer support or recommend them

Monthly challenges being removed 😢
This has been a rewarding app over the last year or so. I have managed to shop with a number of retailers, and my reward has been good discounts off my mobile phone bill.
However, undoubtedly the biggest incentive for me was the “monthly challenge” category, and the bonus rewards you could accumulate within that. I believe it is being replaced with a prize draw instead, which I really don’t like. A “monthly challenge” was very much something I could achieve on a personal level, whereas a prize draw is much more random.
So, I don’t see myself using the app as much going forward I’m afraid.

Good app
Have been using airtime for a while. As others have commented transactions with Boots seem to go through without a problem but sometimes it can take up to 10 days to appear. Any queries I have had nave been resolved taken a week or so but we got there eventually.
As others have commented some of the retailers are quite obscure I have never heard of them. Also a lot of the participants require you to shop online. I don’t have a contract that costs the earth each month so getting £5 off my mobile is okay for me. The challenge was a good idea but I see that it’s being stopped from September.
At first I was able to have the app on my phone and iPad but that’s no longer the case . Using my phone for the linked retailers is a pain as everything is so small.

Easy to set up, passive income
Easy to set up. I’ve been on there about 8 months and have had £40 off my phone bill. Great for very little effort. I’m sure I could get more if I put the effort in.
But this has been passive, I shop at boots a fair bit which helps. Also nice to have the occasional surprise. I bought a bin store on Wilko website and got £14 back.

I’m on a non supported network - Tesco Mobile.
I have built up over £20 in rewards and went to redeem it today.
So it will only let me redeem £10 at a time to my bank with a charge of £1.30.
It won’t let me redeem £20 with a charge of £1.30 oh no that’s common sense. I have to do it twice so they get £2.60.
Not only that but I went to redeem the second £10 and it says I’ve reached my limit.
This is just a money making scheme for Airtime rewards as they have MY money in their bank earning interest so of course they want to hold onto it longer.
No doubt they will come up with an excuse to hold onto your money for longer.
Best off using a different app Whre you have more FLEXIBILITy and they don’t fleece you

I went to check my app and it had logged me out, I don't know why. I waited for the PIN to arrive to log back in, but it never turned up. My phone provider confirms there is no issue with me receiving text codes, so the issue is with this company. Also, reviews for the app say the same thing has happened to many people.
I want to access my account and my money but they are blocking me from doing so. I also wanted to make a purchase but have to wait until I can get into my account, but then the items may be out of stock.

I’m giving 3 stars because historically I’ve earnt a lot of money back using the app. I’ve recommended it to a few friends too. However it seems to have changed. Some retailers you now don’t get cash back when you use Apple Pay, some only when you use Mastercard bla bla bla. I’m now seeing less cash back because of this.
Now you have prize draws instead of the opportunity to gain an extra £1 with a few purchases throughout the month.
Not sure why it’s changed. If it’s not broken don’t fix it springs to mind.

A great idea in principle but too limiting
A great idea in principle, but it takes 3 months for purchase-driven credits to be eligible for redemption, which is bad practice. Consumers need fairly quick gratification or they move on.
Also the range of partner businesses is heavily skewed towards discretionary purchases, meaning it's really slow to rack up the minimum £10 credits required to redeem.
A great idea, but trying to nudge consumers to the point of trying to control them.
Doesn't really work for me, nor the other people I introduced to it.

The 3 month pending window is set by partner retailers and allows them time to verify the purchases as well as aligning with any returns policies. We do however, continue to work closely with them to have the pending period as low as possible. While we work continuously to add more everyday essentials to our retailer list, we understand your preference for faster gratification and broader merchant options.
Your points regarding redemption thresholds and consumer experience are really valuable, and we are passing them directly to our product team as we work on future updates. Thank you for giving us a try and for introducing others!
Untrustworthy company
I agree with other reviewers about the state of the customer service team.
I was promised a fast track response, but it took a week to get a reply. The replies never answer all my queries.
1) why hasn’t a purchase tracked (I sent in proof of purchase- bank account and receipt from company). Was asked when they finally replied to send the information again.
2) asked why Waterstones never tracks. Ignored.
3) asked why my request was not fast tracked. Ignored.
At this point I have no faith in the app or the customer service team. This company is not to be trusted. Every purchase I have made requires me to input a missing transaction, customer service takes more than a week to get back to you, despite their automatic reply saying 4 days. Perhaps it’s taking more than 4 days because their system is failing.
I have made formal complaints but this has also been ignored.
To even delete your account you have to put in a request to the same email address that ignores all other requests!
Whole heartedly advise to avoid this service, there are more lucrative cashback services who are honest and reliable.

Missing payments, endless hoops, terrible customer service…
I spent months jumping through hoops after air time credit not taken off my bill. 'Katrina' wanted pdf bills, screenshots of bank statements and endless emails to prove I hadn't received the credit on my phone bill. She closed the case twice, claiming O2 had now been paid (02 have no record of any air time credits applied to my account) and is now ignoring my emails. Ghosted! Months of effort! Terrible customer service. Don't waste your time.

I have been using this for a while and I have received an amount of cash back to use for reducing mobile cost. I'm not liking the links to certain retailers though, I've tried but not been successful on the 3 links I have tried to use so ive given up on them. There are not many local retailers, great for London but not the North. I'll carry on using but it's nothing spectacular just a few pennies here and there.

It simply doesn’t work, don’t waist your time!
It simply doesn’t work. You can’t speak to a human, chat AI service online and received a responses back from a human once or twice but these are followed by AI reply’s.
I’m disabled and thought this would be simple but it’s not and doesn’t work which frustrates me and I found myself wasting lots of time getting angry and more frustrated, even writing this is making me cross with myself.
If you only purchase in Boots stores it works but everything else just forget it and do not bother with the Airtime responses to reviews as they are nonsense. Save yourself and just find the best price you can and save money in a piggy bank and no frustration in future!

To be honest I used to love the App but…
To be honest I used to love the App but these days nothing tracks correctly and I have numerous missing transactions. EBay tracks on one transaction out of 11 and not even correct value. Think the App tracking has issues.
Now I know they are taking the mick, I get in touch and the reply received 5 days later is we hope we resolved your query. RESOLVED??? YOUR HAVING A LAUGH YOU HAVEN'T EVEN HAD THE DECENCY TO ANSWER
Reply received asking for details but form on app won't accept all photographs at one time. So far a total of 12 transactions with EBay not tracked.
