Minimal cover
This is the first time I got pet insurance. The dog is 4 years old and we got him when he was 2. The policy covers very little because of his age and lack of history.

Unfortunately, based on the pets age at the inception of the policy, there are certain exclusions and limitations on cover as discussed with you with the agent you dealt with. You can submit claims for anything aside from these listed conditions for review by our claims handlers.
If you wish to discuss the details of the cover further, do not hesitate to let us know on 021 202 9119. Please also be advised that the policy comes with a 21 day cooling off period.

The claim required a LOT of pages of documentation from the vet (19) to be scanned and emailed (or posted) Then a further delay because they hadn't said up front that they needed confirmation from the vet that I'd already paid.
