I would like to let you know how pleased I was with the service provided by Elissa Groves , it was very nice to meet her and she was very helpful and gave me some good advice

We have had brilliant financial conversations with our adviser MR, who has always offered us alternative ways of dealing with our requirements where appropriate and has been responsive if companies have not followed up properly. He's reliable, personable, appropriate and very well informed of the financial markets.

All management charges and no real advice, then throw their toys out of the pram when you want to leave them after taking £50 a month and making you 2K extra in 6 years than what I did in the same period time frame before. Very old-fashioned with how they communicate it's 2024 not 1974! Very Corporate and stuffy.

I have been with AFH for at least 10 years and could not have asked for more help and guidance than that given.

Ian Lloyd has been advising me for the last ten years. I trust him wholeheartedly. He explains everything fully in a manner which is understandable. Ian is friendly and patient and I know he is always available should I have any concerns. I would (and actually have done) recommend Ian without hesitation.

After a difficult few years we can now hopefully see funds appreciate at a good steady rate. Stuart has replaced our retired advisor and hopefully we can look forward to a great relationship and the markets get back to healthy returns seen in past years.

Raised a complaint at the start of April and still waiting for a response despite 8 weeks timeframe having expired. Now the investigators supervisor is trying to avoid a meeting to resolve their failings. Backroom staff are hopeless and internal communication is pathetic. FOS or FCA next on the agenda. Only redeeming feature is the Representative I deal with on a regular basis but his hands appear tied by the senior management's terrible attitude and care for their clients.

I get great service from my advisor and unlike most Wealth Manager/IFA firms he is not always trying to sell me something- he actually listens to my needs and then advises accordingly. He really does advise rather than sell so when I do buy I know it’s the right thing. He is also backed up by a great middle and back office so information flow is appropriate and I don’t feel I am inundated by superfluous emails etc. Overall very happy which I do put down to the actual advisor and his approach of client first.

We have been with them for quite a number of years - no real advice on changing our investment pots - really only interested in selling more products rather than looking after the ones we had it would seem. Also totally unaware til we have left that they had a WEALTHHUB portal ... can't really miss what you didn't have or know about. Feel there is far better out there and previous financial advisor used to advise about moving our funds to other areas. But been same for many years now ... my advice is to shop around.

AFH took over my pension fund when my previous advisor retired, I gave them a chance to replicate what my man had done so well for quite a few years on the growth front. Well, I seem to have wasted that time when my fund was invested with them as growth was nil. It was moved (on their advice) to their managed fund where it performed even worse. The quarterly reports were disappointing to say the least with my advisor saying "well at least you are in profit" if you wish to see a return on investment you would be better off sticking the fund in a building society than lodge it with these people. When my patience was exhausted with them they took an age for the fund to be transferred to my new provider and even that they messed up for which I was compensated. In the four months my fund has been with the new provider I have had more growth than the last three years with AFH.

I realised at this years annual review that I have now been working with Andrew Shepherd as my IFA for 21 years! Forming a working relationship with an advisor is essential. It all started with mortgage advice for my very first house; but soon followed sage and prudent advice and planning for the future (and all eventualities). Everything we put in place all those years ago has served me very well. Unexpected things happen in life sadly and I am financially secure because of all those plans in my early twenties. Thanks Andy!

When I started saving, the Company was the Co-op, that became Thomas Heald, that became AFH. Latterly, as AFH, I have had two people advise me who could make sense of financial detail, that I would claim no understanding of. Messrs Wynn and Slater. Thank you for your interest, time, patience, humour, and tolerance. These were excellent people, (Fred retired!), making sense for me, of annuities, pensions, tax and form filling, that, my tiny mind failed to comprehend in tax law and gibberish.
