I’m leaving this review so other buyers understand who they are dealing with.
I purchased an AED in early January for my business. Within a couple weeks the unit began malfunctioning and chirping every 30 seconds. After multiple emails and delays trying to resolve the issue, I ultimately requested a return and refund because I had lost confidence in the company’s ability to support the product.
The return process itself was slow and confusing, and the refund took additional follow-up.
One thing buyers should be aware of is that this company appears to operate under multiple brand names. During my transaction and support request I encountered references to American AED, Cardio Partners, AED.com, AED Superstore, Heartsmart, and One Beat. The charge on my credit card ultimately posted under American AED Dublin, OH, even though the original purchase and service requests were associated with other brand names.
To be fair, I did eventually receive a partial credit, but only after repeated follow-ups and a dispute being opened. To date, only $305.02 of the $628.63 purchase price has been credited back to my American Express account.
When you’re buying emergency medical equipment that people rely on in life-and-death situations, responsiveness and clear customer support matter. My experience did not inspire confidence.
Buyers may want to research carefully and compare vendors before purchasing.
Placed order online with guaranteed deliver in 5-7 days, after 9 business days, went back to site and clicked problem with my order, chat support who said for customer service you have to call in. Called in, they said item is on back order, I pointed out the website allows us to place a new order with again guaranteed delivery in 5-7 days, they said they would fix the site, but my main issue is no email, no phone call no nothing about the order being on back order. Support is terrible buyer beware, you would be better off ordering from anywhere other than this place
UPDATE on July 7. Each morning, I wake up to four more charges on my account. My bank has already reported this company as fraudulent, so they reversed three of the charges, leaving the original one intact. I have called four times now and was promised a callback (which never happened) and sent two emails. I filed a federal FTC complaint for credit card fraud and also submitted a BBB complaint. Original post: I ordered a BLS instructor kit on June 16th. It arrived two days later, so that was fine. Then, on June 26th, I saw another charge for $183. When I checked for the original charge, it was gone. I contacted my bank, and I was told AED Superstar voided the original payment and then recharged me. Today, I woke up to three more charges totaling $549 from the same company. I called their customer service, and they said it was a billing issue (no kidding) and that they would email the billing department and send me a same-day refund email. This overdrew my account, but luckily I had enough in savings to cover it. I called the bank, and they reversed two of the charges while keeping the original $183 charge for my order. Then, this useless company charged me twice more, making five incorrect charges and seven overall. Now I’m furious. I called, and a customer service rep, who seemed uncaring, put me on hold for about ten minutes and never checked back. I called again a third time and spoke with someone very nice, but she promised to call me back within an hour (I was at a doctor's appointment), and she never called, nor did I receive any emails. I reported this to my bank as credit card fraud, filed an FTC complaint, and reached out via email, Instagram, and Facebook, but I never heard back. I'm now considering legal action for fraud. DO NOT USE THIS SCAM COMPANY!
Product description was not clear on the website. I searched for a previous product. Couldn't find it= numbers were slightly different. I ordered two different products only to find out one was the SAME exact piece I ordered but a second separate piece came with it. I need to return one but am unable to reach anyone to help with this. I have called and spoken with someone. I have also emailed. NO RESPONSE. And apparently you can only rate them on GOOGLE if they want you to. No place to leave a review for them on GOOGLE.
This company stored my credit card information without authorization for nearly a year after a purchase then randomly charged me 10 months later for nearly $2,000.
I will not be trusting my life or the lives of those around me to this vendor. Nor will I ever purchase from them again.
I ordered AED pad and received guide. When ordering, there was no distinction and I asked for the pad.
When it was delivered, I was told I ordered the guide and had to pay shipping to return and get pads.
The website has misinformation. I will deal with Phillips directly next time.
They show items as "in stock" even when they are "backordered". If you pay with Paypal they take your money and then stop responding to emails. Ten days later, I have neither an AED nor my money back.
After this experience I checked their reviews on Google Maps and found to my horror that this has happened to DOZENS of customers. It is no accident, this is how they do business. I am leaving this review to make sure others don't suffer the same problem. Their customer service agents will lie to you (if you manage to reach any). They do not respond to emails or Paypal dispute messages.
