Adventures on the Gorge Arvostelua 1 623

I took the two-day Gauley trip which combined Saturday lower and Sunday upper rafting. Both of my guides were fantastic, the weather was cooperative, the equipment and boats were top-notch. I booked a rustic cabin, which was just as described, but definitely sufficed for my stay. The river is hard to describe, rather something to behold. Beautiful country and wonderful experience!

Adventures on the Gorge was amazing; the staff was spectacular and the adventures we did were crazy fun. While visiting we went white water rafting and zip-lining. Our rafting trip was amazing! We rafted the Lower Gauley and if I had one recommendation it would be to sit at the front of the raft. It is easily the best position - you get splashed constantly and really get to experience the rapids head-on. You gotta sit in the front!! The following day we went zip-lining which was also amazing. It was so cool to be moving so fast and fly above everything. Before we left Adventures on the Gorge we were already talking about planning another trip. If that doesn't tell you how happy we were with our experiences, I don't know what would. I highly recommend Adventures on the Gorge! :)

Seemingly every time I raft the Gauley, it’s a better time than the last. This trip was no exception. River guide Ethan steered us into some epic hits all day long. The deluxe overnight accommodations at Canyon Doors campsite were brilliant as usual. It was a bit of a bummer that the hot tubs we’re there (thanks, COVID!), but outside of that, camp was perfect.

We had a wonderful family adventure, kayaking, mountain biking & white water rafting!

Our sons had a blast! This trip is perfect for kids 10 and up.

The facility impressed our group as much as the October big cfm water release. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. I will not hesitate to return to visit next summer.

We had a great time. So great full that Rob Ho was our raft leader. Planning on coming back next fall. The only bummer was there was no hot water in the shower.

We had lot of fun in river rafting and our guide is humorous person so time went by so fast and we didn’t realise that we spent 6 hours in river.They also provided healthy lunch on river shore and it was really nice feeling to eat food on the river shore.

Great spot for family fun. We rafted all day on new river and did treetop zipline. Thanks to Scott on the rafting a Liz on the treetops. But all the staff is outstanding. Was our second time here.

Great trip. JV was a the best guide. Really enjoyed his humor. He took us on some amazing lines! My sons are hooked. We’ll be back.

We loved our first trip to the Gorge and plan to return! Everyone was hospitable, our canin was clean and convenient, and the pool was awesome.

I had an amazing time! The staff was cherrful and informative! Every activity was fun and I will be back next year for sure!!

2 Day Gauley River Overnight

PROS
The rafting adventure experience was epic from beginning to end. Our guide Wiik was world class and a pleasure to be around. The chef prepared food on the trip was excellent! The overall experience was terrific. There were hot showers at the campsite and unlimited fire wood.

CONS
The video which was available for purchase was triple the cost of other (lengthier) videos we got and the quality was not up to standard and much shorter than the previous videos we got for one day trips. That felt a bit advantageous and unfair.
The trip is not inexpensive and perhaps the video could be included as a complimentary addition.

Daniel was an excellent guide on are white water rafting trip! We had a absolute blast! Definitely coming again next year!
