Adventures on the Gorge Arvostelua 1 623

We couldn't have asked for a better trip for a first time rafting experience with our kids, ages 8, 8 and 9. My son and I even bit it in a class 3 rapid and all was good! Everyone had a blast, the grounds were great, and we will be back again for sure! Our guide, and I can't recall his name right now. From Michigan originally, said he just got his first cell phone 4 years ago LOL, anti-internet. "The river is my office." HE WAS AWESOME! Everything a guide should be. Funny (the bad jokes were so bad they were good), loud but not overbearing and appreciative.

I went with a friend for my 39th birthday weekend. We had a blast. Our river guide was Peekaboo, he was great. It had rained a for a few days up there before we arrived and the river was 9 feet above normal. It was crazy and amazing at the same time. The whole experience was top of the line. I felt safe on the river, they explained everything perfectly. All of the staff was so friendly. I can't wait to go back with my family 💓

We went with a mixed experience group. With myself being new to rafting. I was very nervous about what to expect but out guide was amazing and we all had a wonderful time. The cabin we stayed at was very nice, in fact all the facilities were very nice. I would highly recommend Adventures on the Gorge to anyone interested in a new experience.

Stayed here on Sept. 10th for several days. Beautiful camp site and views. Adult themed campground in my opinion as not much for kids to do which was great in my book for this trip. My friend planed for us to run the Upper Gaulley and it didn't disappoint. Was nice to come back and drink and relax at the pool without having to drive anywhere else. Then also did some hiking and kayaking while in the area. Will definitely be back next year. Will be bringing my oldest to do the upper galley and my youngest to do the one he can. Only recommendation would be to possibly put in more rv sites, and add a dump station.

1st time staying. Cabins were amazing. Food outstanding. We plan to attend next year again

This was my second trip down the upper gulley with Adventures on the Gorge and once again they impressed me. I would not use another company to raft this beast of a river. I had Chris as my guide. I was one of 2 people on our 7 man boat that had rafted white water before. Despite out lack of experience Chris taught us the importance of teamwork to get down the river safely. He guided our novice raft down the river safely, explained every obstacle and the danger we faced prior to the rapid. I highly recommend using Adventures on the Gorge!

The staff and facilities are great! We will definitely be coming back.

I throughly enjoyed my fifth Upper Gauley fall run. We were a party of six; Noah was our guide. The trip was outstanding (other than rain throughout the day). Adventures on the Gorge always hires the best river guides, and Noah did not disappoint. The trip was exciting; we very much enjoyed our time on the river and the hot lunch at midday.

This was my second trip with Adventures on the Gorge this year; did a lower New River trip in July/August. I've planned several group trips with AotG over the past 10+ years. We appreciate all the options and amenities. Will definitely plan a trip next year.

Great time . Rafting was the best .. cabins were awesome.. COVID-19 ruined the food options.. all in all another fantastic time

Had a Great girls trip. The people were great with my health issues that they worked with me so I could enjoy my adventure there.

We enjoyed an amazing family and friends trip this past August. The lodging was clean, spacious, and met all of our needs. The staff were amazing and so enthusiastic to make every day was an adventure.

Check-in was easy. Cabins were clean as always. Guides were professional, fun and personable. Virus response was good, even when all around (Beckley, etc) did not take it seriously. Some of us traveling from harder hit areas know differently. Overall, reliably good and consistent.
