Microsoft Arvostelua 

I have tried advertising 5 times in 5 years and keep getting suspended within hours after getting approved. I do not have this problem with any other platform. Today, I uploaded corporate docs and domain docs. I received an approval, created ads, and added a credit card. I literally spent 2 hours to get this done, again. Less than 6 hours later, another suspension notice. I give up.

We have permanently ceased all advertising with Microsoft Advertising due to an extreme spending anomaly and a complete lack of accountability from their support team.

Over a 10-day period in March, our advertising spend suddenly skyrocketed to exceed our entire budget for the previous 12 months combined. This happened without any changes being made to our account setup, campaigns, or bidding strategies. Despite this massive increase in costs, our web shop received absolutely zero conversions from the traffic spike.

We tried to investigate this by manually comparing our web server logs to the hourly reports provided by Microsoft. Because our baseline cost for a typical 10-day period is normally close to nothing, we have every reason to suspect malicious bot activity or deliberate click inflation by a competitor. However, it is impossible for us to know the true cause for sure because Microsoft refuses to provide detailed, itemized reports showing exactly which Click IDs (msclkids) they actually billed us for.

Even though we were completely transparent and sent Microsoft our server data to help resolve the issue, their support stonewalled us. They simply insisted that their backend systems automatically filter out invalid traffic before billing occurs—a claim that is mathematically impossible to verify when they simultaneously refuse to provide the detailed click data necessary to audit our invoice.

If you are a business owner, be aware that Microsoft Advertising lacks basic billing transparency. If your account experiences an unexplained cost spike, they will expect you to pay for it without giving you the proper data to verify what you are actually being charged for. We will be moving our entire budget back to Google Ads.

I signed up for Microsoft Advertising through a valid promotional link offering $500 in credit. Their support agent told me to wait 5-7 days and run ads while waiting for the credit to apply automatically. I followed their instructions and ran ads.

The credit never came.

When I escalated to a supervisor named Angel, I got:

· First excuse: "You didn't use the link" (false — I did)
· Second excuse: "No payment method at signup" (false — I successfully ran ads)
· Third excuse: "You're not eligible"
· Final answer: "Spend $250 more and we'll manually add it"

After days of fighting, I told them I was about to expand my business and become a long-term customer. They responded: "We respect your decision."

They lost a growing advertiser over a $112 promo credit they refused to manually apply. Angel could have fixed this in 30 seconds but chose to gaslight me for days instead.

Microsoft's support system is broken. Their supervisors hide behind policy instead of solving problems. Take your ad budget to Google, they actually want your business.

I used a "store" advertised on Microsoft. Was sent a cheap toy nothing like what was advertised. No redress. Wrote to Microsoft as I found many instances of people being ripped off by advertiser's on Microsoft. Never got a reply. Clicked on an ad just few minutes ago but Norton blocked it as a "fake store".

My advice to advertisers don't use Microsoft if unless you are prepared to be considered dodgy.
My advice to consumers is if you play Microsoft games do not use any of the advertisers as they are mostly scammers

If I could give it zero stars, I would. I am a Google and Meta advertiser, and for the company I work for, we spend around $25K+ per month on ads. We thought we would expand and try Bing as well.

I created an account and it was immediately suspended. I asked why, but they cannot tell you. I submitted an appeal and received no response. I have never experienced anything like this before.

It is one of the weirdest platforms I have ever tried to use, and I probably will not use it in the future. If you cannot tell me what is wrong so I can fix it, how can I do business with you?

In my opinion, this is the worst advertising platform I have ever used.

Google Ads ist ja auch nicht das Gelbe vom Ei, aber Microsoft Adv wird immer wie mühsamer. Die systembedingten automatisierten Anzeigenablehnung sind ein pain in the axx. Damit einen Kunden vernünftig betreuen zu können, wird zu umständlich. Übrigens, mit drei Sternen bin ich doch grosszügig. Mittlerweile fliesst halt wieder mehr Geld zu Google Ads.

Keep your wallets far away from these scammers. High CPC for mediocre traffic + falsely banning accounts that did nothing wrong . They have replaced many human reviewers in exchange for a failing automated system or in simple AI. Based on their service, they definitely wish for a boycott.

Ich vergebe diesen einen Stern nur, weil eine Null-Sterne-Bewertung technisch nicht möglich ist. Mein Versuch, als offiziell verifiziertes deutsches Unternehmen Werbung bei Microsoft zu schalten, endete in einer nervenaufreibenden Farce, die an Ignoranz kaum zu überbieten ist. Der gesamte Ablauf war von Anfang an von Misstrauen geprägt: Trotz einer erfolgreich bestandenen Identitätsprüfung wurde mein Konto nach der ersten legitimen Transaktion sofort gesperrt. Was folgte, war ein technischer Spießrutenlauf, bei dem selbst der offizielle Link zum Einspruch in einer Endlosschleife auf der Startseite landete, statt eine Klärung zu ermöglichen. Ich habe nichts unversucht gelassen, habe detaillierte Prüfungsformulare ausgefüllt, interne Zahlungsbelege als Beweis eingereicht und im direkten Chat-Support proaktiv Lösungen für technische Parameter wie 3D-Secure angeboten. Ich war sogar bereit, sofort auf noch sicherere Zahlungsmethoden umzusteigen, um jegliche Bedenken auszuräumen. Die Reaktion auf all diese Bemühungen, Beweise und meine Kooperationsbereitschaft war eine gefühllose Standard-E-Mail über angebliche schwerwiegende Verstöße. Es ist absolut frustrierend zu sehen, wie echte Fakten und menschliche Klärungsversuche von einem starren System komplett ignoriert werden. Wer seine Zeit und Nerven schont, macht um diesen Anbieter einen großen Bogen – Professionalität und Kundenorientierung sehen definitiv anders aus.

They suspended my account almost immediately after I made the account. I had the difficulty of communicating with their support staff. It took them multiple days to reinstate my account. I was then given a free consultation with another one of their staff members. After a few changes were made to my advertising account (suggestions and changes made by their staff), my account was suspended account.
They wanted me to fill out another form for them, but I was unable to access my manager account number because I could not access my account because it was suspended. I did not need to provide it the first time I got suspended, but I had to provide it this time. Long story short, my account is still suspended and they do not issue refunds for money you place in their account.
I have not had the same difficulties with google or facebook ads.

If you like to waste time by spending hours to create a good advertisement, only for your account to be suspended for no particular reason, and subsequently having to beg and pray to get your money back, should use this.

Totally useless support. It seams like the do not want customers.

We are a ligitimate Australian small business who used Microsoft Advertising for years then one day the account is banned? Microsoft said its their Egregious Policy ban and we can not appeal. Life ban? Stupid platform and not recommended. It took weeks of emailing and phone calls with no way of appealing.
DONT WAIST YOUR MONEY OR TIME. BING AND DUCK DUCK GO Platforms are now useless for our business.

Please don't waste hours on this website like I have this evening. These thieves take your money, and then suspend your account calling it egregious behaviour. And I've been talking to staff for about thirty minutes now about getting a refund and they are SOOOO SLOW. Clearly taking the pee.

Also, when it comes to keywords etc, there is no prices next to them so you don't even know how much the ads per click is going to cost. It's not an easy system to navigate.

Horrible experience. I get my account suspended three times for "Violation of Egregious Policy" even after having my account manually reviewed and determined that the suspension "was in error".

Do NOT use Microsoft Ads. It looks like this is a common theme within people's experiences and goes to show that they do not care about you whatsoever.

Switch to Google!

Was eine schlimmer Erfahrung. Mein Account ist gesperrt worden. Die Gründe, die mir genannt werden, stimmen nicht und passen auch nicht zu meinem Unternehmen. Einzige Erklärung, schlechte Mitarbeiter, die keine Lust haben, ihren Job zu machen.
What a terrible experience. My account has been blocked. The reasons given to me are incorrect and do not apply to my company. The only explanation is that there are incompetent employees who are not interested in doing their job.

Stay away from this platform. Accounts get banned for no reason, even when campaigns fully comply with the rules. The Italian support team is completely useless: generic replies, zero competence, and absolutely no real solutions.

I tried multiple times to resolve suspensions, but every ticket was a total waste of time. They just bounce you from one agent to another without fixing anything. End result: wasted money and wasted time.

If you want to do serious digital advertising, stick with Meta or Google, they are 100 times better, more reliable, and actually provide professional support. Don’t waste a single minute on Microsoft Ads.

I registered for this awful service, verified my identity, and even paid an amount. The next day I got a mail with some vague story about a so-called egregious violation, but no detail what exactly I had done wrong.

To say this so-called service is crap, would be to insult fecal matter. It is pathetically bad. Stay far, far, far away from these scammers.

Awful and very inept service. They will likely ban you for "Egregious violations" even if you are genuinely legit and sell products that are allowed under their policy, even after appeal the decision was upheld. A bizarre company that has fallen off massively in the last 2 decades. No wonder they can't compete with google.
