I learned with Zohra at Acclaim from September 2024 to June 30th, 2025, and I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better driving instructor. She was incredibly patient, especially with my nerves, and always made me feel calm and supported during lessons. I genuinely enjoyed learning with her — she’s such a kind, friendly, and reassuring person. Zohra explains everything clearly and never makes you feel rushed or judged. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone who feels anxious about driving, as well as anyone looking for a great instructor in general.

After sitting on my provisional licence for over a decade I was apprehensive about driving but felt it was finally time to learn. Simon Betsva was the perfect instructor for me, he was patient, professional and friendly. When I was unsure Simon was careful to guide and explain when necessary, and it paid off, I passed first time with only three minors!

The office team were great too, always super helpful whenever I called, but to be honest the online booking system was so easy and convenient that I rarely had to reach out.

I have been having driving lessons with Adrian from Acclaim Driving for a few months now, and just passed my driving test. From the very beginning, he has been calm, reassuring and simply fun to be around.

He will take you through all the steps of driving and make sure you are test ready in all aspects, but at no point will you feel pressured or nervous. He will go at your pace, won't rush you, but also won't waste your time. You will feel confident in your driving by the time you take your test.

He will also hype you up before a test because we all need that sometimes.

He also has good taste in cars. You'll probably be driving something nice while learning to drive and taking your test.

I recommend Adrian McKinlay if you are currently dreading your driving lessons, looking for an improvement, or a good instructor to start with. He can turn it into a fun experience you'll look forward to.

Niall was very patient whenever I was out doing a 10 day intensive course with him. He helped build my confidence up and walked through everything with very clear instructions. He was also very friendly and if you weren't sure of something he would explain it as many times as you needed. I would highly recommend Niall

Mo is one the best instructors out there. He teaches what you need to pass the test and not waste your time and money.
If you want to pass your driving test around Hinckley and Leicester area, get on with Acclaim Driving and ask for Mo to be your instructor.

I did an intensive course with Sadiq. When I arrived at the test centre I felt so confident in my ability to pass. I had great customer service from the aclaim team. With Sadiq's help I was able to pass first time!

I won’t lie to it you need someone who’s honest, but not too brutal with it and wants you to pass Habtom Asmelash is your guy, he’s patient and ready go when you’re ready and will only push you if he knows your ready. Wheather it’s intensive or Regular lessons he’s your guy.

My instructor Steve , was very nice and patient with my driving and was the main reason I passed my test. He was very positive and I would recommend this instructor to anyone wanting to do driving lessons.

I had an amazing experience with my driving instructor, Sadiq. From the very beginning, he gave me so much confidence and made me feel comfortable behind the wheel. He was always really attentive and patient, and he explained everything clearly.

What I appreciated most was that he always asked me what I felt I needed to improve on and then focused our lessons around that, while also pointing out areas I could work on. He helped me understand my mistakes without ever making me feel nervous or discouraged.

Sadiq is very kind, friendly, and chatty, which made lessons enjoyable and relaxed, but he was also professional and focused. Thanks to his support and guidance, I felt well prepared and confident for my test. I would highly recommend him to anyone learning to drive!

I am writing as I have had previous lessons with different instructors such as my one back at home, and have had positive experiences. But in acclaim would not recommend Stephen whinnery, he does not create a welcoming environment at all or give any positive reinforcement. I had a driving instructor at home who will allow me to drive for as much time as possible to learn. Whereas you pay for an hour and only get to drive 20 minutes round a block, and does not create a good learning environment at all.

Cannot reccomend Brian Torbitt and Acclaim enough, he made my learning experience first class. Started lessons as someone who had never sat in a driver seat before, and right from that very first lesson, Brian made me feel at ease. His knowledge, skills and patience are unmatched. Always on time, never late or cancelled and always sent confirmations a few days before hand to save confusion. Would never have been able to get the license I did without him! Will 100% be recommending to everyone I know.

My instructor was amazing he dealt well with how I parked he stayed calm through my bad times and I don't think I would have passed with out him.
