Abdul was amazing, was so flexible, calming and reassuring.
I would recommend to any new learner, couldn’t give the instructor or company enough respect they deserve!

Acclaim has great instructors, shehab is an incredible instructor goes through everything in a way that’s comfortable for you and makes things as easy as possible.

Shiv lent me his car last minute and took over my last 2 lessons, pointed out key areas i needed to work on and i passed first time. TYSM!

The actual driving instructing was very good. Could have had better communication on the waiting times for booking it all in though.

My Driving instuctor Abdoul was brilliant and a excellent teacher. He was encouraging and supportive. The advice that he gave was spot on. He also encoraged self belief that i can do this. I listen to what advice he gave with the monovers. Couldnt ask for a better drivin instructure. I would highly recommend him.

I can’t recommend this driving school enough. I had absolutely no driving experience when I started, I’d never even turned a car on, and I was very anxious about learning. Anselm was incredibly patient from day one and really tuned into my anxiety, adapting his teaching style to suit me and help me progress at exactly the right pace.

Thanks to his support and encouragement, I passed first time as an older learner in just under a year. Being able to do weekend lessons as well was a huge help since I work full time.

I genuinely enjoyed my time learning with Anselm, and he made what could have been a very stressful process feel much more relaxed and manageable. Thank you so much for all of your help!

My instructor Darshan Bharj, He was very patient, and reassured me that it would all be alright. I Cannot even imagine learning to drive with someone else.
He even taught me everything and is amazing at making things easier and how to deal with the stress
In addition, He not only prepares you to pass the exam but focuses on making you a safe driver for real life.

Gary was very helpful during the driving lessons and had a belevolent manner, he was very punctual and had a strong personality, this delibrately gave me the motivational strength to practise more often. Gary was undeniably a great driving instructor in my prespective.

Cost is very reasonable and training was exceptionally good

So I first was with acclaimed in 2024 July and had 2 instructors. One was very rude and shouted and screamed at me every lesson... he wasn't a good man and I believe race and ethnicity played a part as we were both of the same culture and this behaviour isn't uncommon (he'sno longer on the website and i dont remember his name as he's BLOCKED). Hence why I bared with it but my twin sister walked out on a lesson bawling so I stopped having lessons with this man too ofc. The second instructor was Sadiq who wasn't much better in the sense all we did was drive around and do nothing. Literally spent close to £700 to be shouted at or do the bare minimum. Sadiq finished lessons early by 10 to 20 minutes MULTIPLE times. So during those 20 hours I wasnt taught any maneuvers and reversed only once. Hence why I obviously stopped taking lessons because they knew i wasn't working and paying with my savings and using that to milk me dry. Sadiq would say we'll do roundabouts next week, but then the next week we still drove around aimlessly. And I wasted my money on these useless instructors who represent acclaim. Sadiq attempted to contact me a few months later to continue lessons but i lied giving an excuse... hope he knows the real reason now. If he reads this: stop ending lessons early and learn how to teach - we pay you £70/£72 a slot and every minute is paid for - don't like it then look into a profession that doesn't have such expectations. This initial experience was a 1/5.

Then I got a job and could afford lessons again and chose acclaimed as they are the most fairly priced. This was October 2025 - more than a year later as I was hesistant towards choosing acclaimed again.. I chose Ibrahim, and he was lovely. This time i had a test date set to prevent being lead on and on and to prevent being considered a cash cow when im not made of money, like most people. He was quick to teach me maneuvers and was very kind to me. Didn't lie to me and did his best to accommodate me and other students. I failed once, but passed the next test which was in 3 weeks - lovely lad. Because of Ibrahim: 5/5

Essentially, do a lesson and see if the instructor is weird. Do not tolerate shouting, rude behaviours, and stupid things like ending early. But there are a few good eggs in this school. Customer service was always alright but when I did tell them about the first instructor they didnt seem to care at all. But in 2025 they were a lot better and good about everything.

After 4 driving instructors with other schools, I ended up with the best instructor I’ve had. A huge huge thank you to Tanzeem, who made my driving experience fun, engaging and worthwhile. Tanzeem really took the time to understand my weaknesses from the very first lesson and helped me all the way until I passed whilst even accommodating my availability which I was grateful for. Flexible, great instructor and good communication.

Book my first lesson paid for 5hrs was waiting on my instructor and got a message that have to reschedule five minutes after the lesson is supposed to start for a first time driver and to have this experience has knocked me back a little but I'm sure it was not his/her fault hope to upgrade my experience in future

I had five different driving instructors before, and my driving was still not improving. However, when I started learning with Effendi, everything changed. He made driving much easier for me, understood my mistakes, and showed me clear ways to improve and gain confidence.

He is very patient, intelligent, and extremely knowledgeable in what he does. I am truly grateful to have had him as my driving instructor and would highly recommend him to anyone learning to drive.

I enjoyed my instructor Sarah, she was an amazing teacher and helped me to learn all the needed information and skills for driving. She helped through any tough patches i had and made me more confident in myself. We had some very funny moments and conversations but i'm glad it was with her.

I took lessons with Tanzeem Effendi and passed FIRST time, Tanzeem is a brilliant teacher and great supporter, I had a lovely time learning new skills from Tanzeem. Tanzeem is very patient and very helpful! he is the best i would highly recommend to anyone especially someone who is looking to pass their test very quickly with great results!

Brilliant service from start to finish. Telephone support was great, very efficient, calls answered promptly, actions taken quickly, theory test access easy and extended as still had a month to go before test. System was clear to use to add payments, see lessons booked, pay for test etc. Very happy customer.

Passed my Automatic Test back in summer 2019 and used their services again in 2026 to pass my manual - Accommodated my request on a short time scale and passed after 4 lessons
Gilbert is a good instructor and I do recommend him to anyone who needs brushing up their driving skills.

Matthew was a really great instructor and taught me very well and always assured me if I wasn’t confident or too sure about what I was doing and was great at understanding when I couldn’t make it due to illness and was great and accommodating me with that and was overall a really great instructor !!!
