Lives up to the hype
Aardvark stood out to to me when I started up my ltd company and was searching for accountants. The experience I've had since becoming a client has been everything I was hoping for. They helped get me set up super fast, were patient with me as a newbie freelancer and ltd co owner.
My accountant is Ryan G who has been a total star and always a pleasure to chat with. He's has to explain a lot to me and always does with patience and kindness. He also just gets stuff done and makes it all work which we all need as business owners. Couldn't recommend them enough.

I have been with aardvark for just over 1 year now and my experiance has been faultless. My main accountant is Ryan Goldingay and he has great knowledge and answers my questions and queries in clear profesional manor.
I have also dealt with the other teams for Payroll, Tax ect and all have been great and super helpful.

I've been using Aardvark Accounting for my Ltd Company accounts for over three years, and cannot fault their services.
Services including end of year accounts, VAT returns, self assessment, and the inclusion of professional indemnity cover included in the monthly fee, they offer some of the best value for money in my opinion.
I had a pensions and savings chat with one of the client directors Jasmin Cox, and her advice was genuinely the most helpful and informed on the subject matter.
Overall, I'd highly recommend Aardvark for any Ltd Companies looking to simplify their accounting.

Exactly what I needed for a new company
A friend of mine told me about Aardvark Accounting a few years ago, it was only recently I needed an Accountant for my bootstrapped new business.
I can see most of the reviews are for IT contractors, but I went for it anyway.
The onboarding experience has been excellent, and the pressure to sort all the mess has been taken away from me. Shout out to Tony Sadler for this!
Tony has been great so far, working with me, answering any crazy questions I have, and helping me understand the HMRC mess out there. They are great at advising, chasing up and taking care of everything I need.
I have no complaints, exactly what I need.

Tony has been very welcoming of my questions, and always makes sure that the processes we follow are conducted correctly.
I also love that any time I have a question with a bit more depth, he's always open to scheduling a call to resolve them with a very flexible calendar that I can book times in myself.

I signed up with Aardvark when opening my limited company just over 2 years ago. Being totally new to this, I needed all the assistance I could get and thankfully received this from Tony, my designated account manager. He was super-useful at guiding me through accounting concepts/set-up, explaining the quirks of the tax system and generally being on hand to promptly answer my numerous queries. Great, friendly service and really easy to work with - everything has run smoothly and efficiently.

A Breath of Fresh Air
This is my second little limited company. And this time around I'm flying solo. All a bit of a rush when the opportunity presented itself. It's not that I was unhappy with my previous accountants but their digital systems were slow and old fashioned, and I'd been through a series of account managers. All that had become wearing. So I did some research and decided to give Aardvark a try. A friendly, helpful and knowledgeable quick to respond to questions with modern digital systems which take away so much of the pain. No regrets.

Happy new customer
I recently switched from another 'specialist' IT Contractor accountancy to Aardvark and I have to say that Aardvark are a distinct improvement. The handover from old to Aardvark was as smooth as it could possibly have been, given the lack of cooperation/engagement of the original firm. So far Ryan and the team have done exactly what they said would do, when they said they would do it. This week I was particularly pleased as without prompting, they initiated the Year End Accounts process. Yes, it's a simple thing. But after a number of years of having to beat my accountant into submission on this topic it is a blessed relief. Very happy with the service so far. A very positive experience. Amazing service and top level expertise
I've had a great experience working with Aardvark Accounting. Firstly their team is excellent. Very efficient, knowledgeable, supportive and proactive. All my queries were always answered without any delays. My account manager Ryan completely won my trust as an expert in his field. Their prices are very reasonable. Terrible firm
Terrible firm. Very difficult to get in touch with your 'dedicated accountant'. And when you could, they just told you to put everything in Freeagent and it would do everything for you. Avoid.

This is particularly to address the challenges you’ve raised around accessing support and the use of FreeAgent.
As we’ve explained, in order for us to provide accurate advice and complete your year-end accounts, we need visibility of your financial information, something which FreeAgent enables. Without this, it is extremely difficult for us to advise effectively or complete the work you’ve engaged us for.
We hope that the upcoming call will provide clarity and help move things forward in a more positive direction. In the meantime, should you have any further queries or require assistance, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us.
A shadow of the firm they once were
Over the past year, my experience with Aardvark Accounting has declined noticeably. The level of service deteriorated to the point where scheduling time with my account manager required up to two weeks' notice, important documents were issued after agreed deadlines, and email responses were often significantly delayed.
Despite previously confirming that I did not require certain services, I continued to receive promotional emails about them. It gave the impression that, because I had opted for their basic package, my account was no longer a priority. When I ultimately decided to end the relationship after several years as a client, there was no outreach, follow-up, or attempt to understand my reasons for leaving. This lack of engagement reinforced the sense that my business was no longer valued.
I believe it would have been more professional and respectful to communicate any change in client focus openly, rather than allowing the service to decline without explanation.
Unfortunately, I can no longer recommend Aardvark Accounting. In my view, they are a shadow of the firm they once were.

We regret that you felt the level of service had declined. That is never the experience we aim to provide, and we appreciate how disappointing it must have been to feel that your business was no longer a priority. Your comments regarding response times, scheduling availability and the timing of documentation have been noted and taken seriously.
In regard to the reminders you received for Self Assessment services, we apologise if these communications caused any frustration. Please be assured that these were not issued as a result of your being on a basic package, nor were they intended to encourage further spend. Each tax year, we send reminders to all clients to ensure they are aware of their reporting obligations and deadlines. These messages are intended purely as a prompt, and clients are under no obligation or pressure to take up the service—we simply aim to offer support where needed.
We understand that receiving further correspondence about our Tax Hub and related services after confirming you did not require assistance led to your decision to move on, and we respect your choice. At the time of your termination notice, you had already appointed a new accountant. As such, our focus shifted to ensuring a smooth and accurate handover. We did continue to communicate with you to complete necessary tasks, including the April VAT return, which required access to be retained a little longer. We’re sorry if the timing of this handover caused further concern and can appreciate how this may have felt frustrating.
Regarding the availability for a call, we can confirm that when you initially requested a meeting in November, a time was offered and confirmed within two working days. A call then took place as scheduled, and follow-up support was provided promptly. While we aim to accommodate all client requests as quickly as possible, availability may occasionally be limited during busier periods.
We are sorry that your lasting impression is not a positive one. We would be happy to have a further discussion should you wish to share more about your experience or help us better understand any unresolved concerns.
