Wow… where do I start?

From the moment you walk into 7th Heaven Float room, you know you’re somewhere special. Sarah greeted me with such a warm, friendly smile and immediately made me feel welcome. She is incredibly professional, knowledgeable and, most importantly, genuinely passionate about what she does. You can tell she speaks from personal experience rather than simply following a script, and that made all the difference. The reception area itself immediately sets the tone. The temperature is perfect, the aromas are wonderfully calming, and everything is spotlessly clean. There is a thoughtful selection of chilled water, room-temperature water, sparkling water and still water, all beautifully presented. Combined with the relaxing background sounds, the whole environment instantly encourages you to unwind. Before the float, Sarah carefully explained everything you’ll need to know, from the showering process to why it’s important to remove hair products and moisturisers. You’re provided with earplugs (which are surprisingly comfortable and yours to keep!) and she explains the importance of using them, particularly because the float tank contains around 650kg of Epsom salts. She also gives practical advice, such as avoiding touching your face if you have salt on your hands, something you probably wouldn’t think of yourself but makes perfect sense. One of my biggest concerns beforehand was whether the tank would feel claustrophobic. I needn’t have worried. You actually have your own private suite, which you can lock for complete privacy, and once inside it feels spacious, calm and incredibly relaxing. Floating nude is recommended so there are no sensations from clothing distracting you, and after a quick shower you’re ready to begin. I was so excited to get into the tank that I actually forgot to put my earplugs in! I had to hop back out and grab them, and I’m glad I did. They worked brilliantly and were extremely comfortable. The float session itself can be tailored to your experience level and personal preference. Sarah recommended a gentle transition for my first session, which was absolutely perfect. The experience began with soft ambient blue lighting and tranquil music, allowing my body and mind to slowly relax. The ceiling is decorated with beautiful star-like LED lights, creating a wonderfully peaceful atmosphere. Gradually the lighting faded away until I was floating in complete darkness for around 40 minutes before the process gently reversed, with the lighting and music slowly returning over the final 10 minutes. It was a beautifully thought-out transition that never felt abrupt. Initially, I found myself analysing everything (as I tend to do) but after around ten minutes I simply relaxed into it. I’m just over six feet tall and found myself naturally floating in what felt like a cross-shaped position, only to realise my arms weren’t stretched out at all, they were comfortably floating upwards in a relaxed surrender position. It was such a strange but wonderful sensation. Every now and again I’d reach out because it genuinely felt as though I was drifting away, only to discover the tank was comfortably nearby. Despite its size, you feel completely safe, completely supported and incredibly comfortable throughout. The hour seemed to disappear. In fact, I remember thinking a couple of times, “I wonder what time it is?” because it felt like I’d been floating forever—but in the nicest possible way. When it ended, I genuinely didn’t want it to. Afterwards, Sarah takes the time to chat about your experience, asking how you found the temperature. It’s another example of the genuinely personal service you receive.
The benefits continued long after I left. I slept incredibly well that night, felt noticeably calmer, and carried that relaxed feeling with me for the rest of the day. I’ve had excellent massages before where you almost don’t want to drive home because you don’t want to break the spell, but this was on another level. The gentle transition into relaxation and then back to reality was simply perfect. I honestly cannot recommend 7th Heaven Float room highly enough. Whether you’re looking to reduce stress, improve your sleep, recover physically or simply experience something completely different, this is an experience everyone should try at least once. For me, it certainly won’t be just once. I’ll definitely be returning, and I’ll be recommending it to everyone I know.

What a wonderful way to spend a Sunday afternoon. Sarah makes you feel incredibly at ease as soon as you arrive and the floatation itself is fantastic.

It was just totally out of this world! I have floated in the Dead Sea which was amazing but this was fabulous. Sarah explained everything in detail as it was my first session and was very helpful in guiding me through everything. The facilities for showering were excellent with everything provided and enough time was allowed to get showered etc in order to benefit from the full 60 mins session. I think I fell asleep and I came out feeling wonderful. Thank you!

Floating room is a great idea to go to quiet your mind. The room is species so dont worry about claustrophobia. The owner thought about everything and you have a lot of additional things like earplugs, extra small towels ( a lot of them), refreshing drinks and snacks. The place is very clean, well organise and give you sense of relax. I will be back to that place for sure.

I went for my first float today along with my friend. We are both pregnant and we’re looking for something fun, relaxing and tension relieving, and it certainly ticked every box!! Sarah kindly walked us through everything we needed to know, and then left us to float. I can honestly say I have never managed to relax so deeply and so easily before - I often struggle with being “still” and find meditation hard - but this was truly wonderful. We are already planning our next visit! Highly recommend ☺️
