I like the basic idea of a simplified motor extension for a pedal bike. The Geeko integrates the torque sensor and the battery quality is good. The overall quality and concept gives a good value for money. However, it is not suitable for steep passages uphill, but works nicely in the flat and soft hills. The customer support is generally good.
There are some flaws:
- The function of the integrated torque sensor may puzzle an new customer.
- In level 1, the range are nice 70km or even more. However, the display of the remaining capacity is not always right.
- The connection of the Geeko rear wheel with the sprockets and the bike frame is faulty. The central screw must be stronger to work as needed.

I converted our two folding bikes and we are really happy that we got such an excellent solution. I considered several options, but the geeko rear kits convinced me, and we are super happy. We have the smallest battery, and I recon that we can tour up to 50 km with a full charge. (After 30 km battery still over 40%). We have done several short tours +- 30 km.

Good service and performance.

The Geeko kit is really good and easy to install, every can do it cause it is simply explained.
I recommend it to anyone who want a good, light and affordeble bicycle convertion.

The delivery took two tries for me to receive the parcel and over all about three months. On top of the the ordered spare part didn't fix my issue with my e-bike kit.

Der Versuch, den Akku mit Hilfe der Techniker zu reparieren, war leider erfolglos.
Ich habe jetzt nach einigen Diskussionen kostenlos einen neuen Akku bekommen.

Ich habe mir für 2024 das Heckantrieb-Modell gekauft und 2025 noch das Frontmodell dazu. Beide habe ich dann zum Dual-Modell zusammengeschlossen, was wunderbar funktioniert. Die Endgeschwindigkeit bleibt zwar gleich, aber das deutlich höhere Drehmoment ist bei etwas steileren Anstiegen sehr angenehm.

Wer ein gut funktionierendes Fahrrad in ein E-Bike umbauen möchte, dem kann ich diesen Bausatz sehr empfehlen. Allerdings sollte man etwas handwerkliches Geschick mitbringen. Bei mir zum Beispiel passen die Radaufnahmen nicht genau. Das Fahrrad hat 9,5 mm und die Achse der Motoren hat 10 mm. Mit einer Feile lässt sich das relativ einfach lösen.

Ebenso musste ich beim Vorderrad die Gabel etwas nach außen spreizen. Zum Glück waren genug Unterlegscheiben beigelegt. All das sind Probleme, wofür der Hersteller nichts kann.

Ich empfehle jedem, der sich auch so etwas kaufen möchte, vorher ganz genau zu messen! Mit Messschieber und nicht mit Zollstock nach der Art wird schon irgendwie passen. Sonst geht es euch wie mir und man muss nach Feilen und Scheiben einlegen.

Zur Reichweite mit Dual-Modell und zwei 15 AH Akkus: Ich wohne in den Alpen und bei mir geht es egal, wo immer bergauf und bergab.
Ich habe 49 Kilometer mit maximaler Unterstützung zurückgelegt. Die Höhenmeter bergauf betrugen 568 Meter, die bergab 563 Meter. Etwa ein Drittel der Strecke war Teerstraße, zwei Drittel Kiesstraße. Der Akku vorne war zu 70 % geladen, der hinten zu 47 %. Irgendwie brauchte der Heckakku immer mehr Strom. Ich vermute, das liegt daran, dass das Hauptgewicht auf dem Hinterrad liegt. Um dieses Problem zu beheben, tausche ich die Akkus meist nach der Hälfte der Strecke zwischen vorne und hinten.

Ich denke, wenn man im Flachland wohnt und nur Teerstraßen fährt, sind mit dieser Konfiguration 120-150 Kilometer kein Problem. Und ja, ich fahre meist eigentlich immer mit maximaler Unterstützung. Ich bin halt einfach faul.

Würde ich das ganze noch mal kaufen, um ein Fahrrad umzurüsten, das nur rumsteht? Ja, auf jeden Fall!

The rear wheel was delivered within 4 weeks, probably from the German warehouse. The big (750Wh) battery arrived about a week after. Both arriving earlier than expected.
Fitting the "kit" was no prob at all. As I don't need the throttle lever (in addition to it being illegal in NL) and as I didn't want to damage the controle unit by removing the throttle cable completely, I've fastened the cable around the battery holder.
On the 1st charge (100%) I rode 160kms! before the SOC reached 15%. The assistance was very adequate on L02. OK, Holland IS flat.
The 2nd charge took me 120kms before reaching SOC 27%. These kms were in France where there were some hills and I had to use L03 & L04.
The assistance power is amazing and smoothly kicks in when needed.
Another plus is that there is no friction when the battery is switched off. It just rides like my pre-Geeko conversion.
I don't use my phone on my handlebars but operate "the system" by the 3 buttons on top of the battery. In fact, I only have to switch it on. When I stop, it time-outs itself. I mostly run it on L02, that gives enough assistance.
One doubtful point is that the charger gets very warm when charging. When charging at home I direct a small fan on it to keep it cool.
Conclusion: a perfect e-bike solution and envied by a lot of my friends.
