Replacing it was much easier than I expected. There wasn't a YouTube video for my exact model, but the similar model number I followed was in fact exactly the same as mine. It took me less than half an hour to replace the screen and that included re-watching parts of the YouTube video. All it took me was a good Phillips screwdriver for electronic parts and an old supermarket loyalty card to gently prise open the screen surround.
I can't fault the quality as it looks exactly the same as my old screen before it got damaged.
Anyone suffering with a damaged laptop screen should look up the many YouTube videos and they'll see that it's an easy process to change and save a big bill from a computer repair shop.
