I've used Checkatrade quite a few times in the past but had mixed experiences with some of the tradesmen. I would suggest making sure the tradesman you think you are hiring is the person who actually does the job. I was able to find an alternative tradesman who did a great job in the end but the first recommendation was appalling.

My first time dealing with Scan and what a great experience. The item I needed was showing as in stock on their website which quite often isn't the case with other companies. I placed my order and the communication was instant, keeping me informed about my purchase and expected delivery. The item was dispatched for delivery and as promised, I received it the next day.
