Zim Connections Arvostelua 

Used in the USA for a week. Worked as promised with no hiccups. Very happy of having chosen ZIM for this trip. Surely I will chose it again for the next trip.

Best phone data set used to date. Friendly, flexible and cheap. Truly recommendable.

I travel quite a lot for work and I’ve tried a few eSIM apps before, but ZIM has honestly been one of the easiest so far.

The setup was super quick, I bought a plan and had it installed in literally a couple of minutes. No weird steps or confusion. I used it in two countries on the same trip and the connection was stable pretty much the whole time, which is not always the case with other providers.

What I liked the most is that everything is very clear in the app, you can actually see what you’re buying and there are no surprises. Prices feel fair compared to roaming, especially for shorter trips.

Only thing I’d say is that I had to double check compatibility on my phone before buying, but once that was sorted everything worked smoothly.

Overall, really solid experience and I’ll definitely use it again for my next trips.

For the past 3 months I’ve been travelling around Asia across 5 different countries and ZIM Connections has honestly made staying connected so easy.

Every time I arrived somewhere new I could set up an eSIM in minutes and be online straight away. It saved me from having to search for SIM cards in airports or deal with confusing local plans, which made a huge difference when moving between countries.The whole process simple and stress free.

After using it across multiple countries over the last few months I can genuinely say it’s been fantastic from start to finish. If you travel a lot and want an easy way to stay connected, I’d definitely recommend ZIM Connections!

Ho acquistato la eSIM ieri mattina ma non ha funzionato fin dall’inizio. Nonostante l’assistenza e le indicazioni seguite, la connessione è rimasta assente o molto lenta. Ha funzionato solo temporaneamente ieri sera con VPN, poi stamattina di nuovo zero. Ho dovuto passare ad altro operatore all’estero e il rimborso è stato rifiutato perché dicono che ho disattivato/disabilitato la esim. Esperienza negativa

Erstes Datenpaket hat einwandfrei funktioniert. leider ist nirgends (weder in der App noch auf der Webseite) ersichtlich welche Länder genau in einem Regionalen Paket enthalten sind, lediglich die Anzahl steht, wobei 53 Länder in Europa nicht sein kann. auf Anfrage im Live-Chat wurde nur sehr unhöflich geantwortet und schliesslich gar nicht mehr. Das zweite gekaufte Paket funktionierte dann gar nicht mehr.

Bought a ZIM@SBB eSIM. Installation was no problem neither was activation but it just would not connect to the Internet. Tried to contact the Help Chat, no answer within 24 hours.
Finally they got in contact with me and suggested some solutions to solve the problem. Didn't work and so they gave me a refund.

I was travelling around Germany and was looking for an eSIM solution for data roaming, I found ZIM@SBB. Thinking when Swiss railroad would recommend that, it would work, but for my trip around Germany, mostly southly of Stuttgard, most of the time it did not. As I had a few 100MB data roaming left on another prepaid SIM, I had to switch back to that, and surprisingly, that worked most of the times when I needed Internet connections out of cities. I got back to the support. Of course, not really anything useful came back not even a goodwill refund. I'm done with ZIM connections, next time travelling I'll rather try any local (e)SIM solution.
Addendum in August: I have now switched to Saily eSIM and, after some initial difficulties, discovered that the APN was not set correctly in the Network Manager. These settings can be found on the Saily support pages, but nowhere on the ZIM website. I suspect that the connection problems I had in Germany at the time were also due to an incorrect APN configuration. When asked about this again, ZIM apparently does not feel it necessary to provide an answer. For me, ZIM is definitely not to recommend!
Addendum on 7.4.2026: They really do reply ‘quickly’ – I’m sorry, but I find that a bit ridiculous. I’ve already written at length about my experience and found a solution myself. I don’t think there’s anything left to discuss now; the opportunity was missed long ago.

Terrible, it’s hit and miss. Used because it’s cheaper. My mistake. Never answer messages when there are problems. App doesn’t work when offline or they are “improving” which happens a lot when you need to get on it for sim details. You should still be able to access the wallet for the sim details when offline or improving! Often sims don’t work or take forever to kick in.

Bought 2 esims and neither would connect to the network. Tried a different company (Airalo) and immediately worked. Tried to contact Zim by chat and email and received no response so would not use again.

Z esim is a total waste of money.
I tried it on two occasions, and in the both of them just failed to make use of them.
I will never pay for it ever again.

don’t use this service in turkiye after 1gb slow speeds that feels like you don’t have any internet at all there is no such a word unlimited paying £14 for nothing i could have bought physical sim with better network they using network called aveya poor
