I like the idea of recycling medical blister packs. But the cost of the bags is now getting prohibitive. £49!

Discreet and useful
The Zero Waste box sits very comfortably in my porch (no smells as it's outside !) and I am gradually filling it. The capacity for a medium sized box seems good. We are only an elderly pair but I am surprised at how much film we generate. All looking good.

Hi there,
At TerraCycle, we offer two main recycling solutions for people and companies based in the UK: Free National Recycling Programmes and Zero Waste Boxes™.
TerraCycle Free Recycling Programmes are funded by brands, manufacturers and retailers to help you collect and recycle your hard-to-recycle waste for free. TerraCycle has previously worked together with Superdrug to recycle medication blister packs. If you'd like to receive more information about this programme and where to take your blister packs, please email our customer service team directly at customersupport@terracycle.co.uk. They'll be happy to support. For more information about the programmes, you can visit https://www.terracycle.com/en-GB/brigades
The Zero Waste Box™ is a different product and recycling service, separate from the free Recycling Programmes. Zero Waste Boxes™ provide paid solutions for waste that cannot be recycled through your local council. For reference, you've given Zero Waste Box a 1 star review for something that's not related to our service.

Failed Delivery & Communication.
Only informed of the attempted Delivery after the fact, then tried to rearrange it, so I'd know when it was coming. But, UPS don't accept Mobile Telephone Numbers as 'Valid', so I couldn't sign up to their full services.
Now considering giving up, and getting a Full Refund.
Also, highly likely to tell others that Terracycle is too expensive, and UPS are too exclusive, and between them are discouraging People from Recycling, which is contrary to their stated aims.

We're so sorry to hear about your negative experience. The period between Black Friday and Christmas is always the trickiest time of the year. Additionally, with the current courier strikes happening, delivery delays may occur.
We always aim to respond to queries and emails immediately, and my colleague has been in contact with you to rearrange a box delivery. We take delivery issues very seriously and we are currently investigating with UPS where your shipment is. My colleague will get in contact with you directly so we can sort out this issue as soon as possible.
Regards - The Zero Waste Box team.
Good delivery

Plastic Waste
When you see how much plastic you collect in your kitchen bin, it both disgusts you and yet makes you proud to be using a zero waste box to recycle it. Shame more isn't done by councils to recycle loose plastic.

We feel the same way! It's very problematic how much plastic there is in our daily lives, but we're happy to provide a recycling solution.
From us at Zero Waste Box; thank you for recycling with us!
Good to be able to recycle soft plastic…
Good to be able to recycle soft plastic but very expensive! Feels like a high premium to try and protect the planet when industry should be doing better qnd the recycling business model should be more profitable from tetracycline to reduce prices.

Useful Recycling Service
The recycling box is delivered by UPI, who also collect it when it's full (this is included in the price). I now rarely put any plastic waste in the bin. It has also made me more aware of plastic packaging when I buy things.

Efficient service with prompt delivery and easy dispatch. It makes me feel good putting all the stuff not usually recycled in the box.
Expensive for domestic households though.

Not easy…
It's environmentally sound but not always easy to know what to put into the boxes and to send them back.

Very expensive
I love the idea of recycling old contact lenses but the cost to us is very expensive. Not sure if with all other escalating costs we will be able to continue long term.

Hi Tracey, thank you for your feedback regarding one of our programmes.
Johnson & Johnson Vision is continuing to support and fund the ACUVUE Contact Lens Recycle Programme. Changes have been made to ensure its longevity and to actually increase the volume of contact lenses, blister packs and foils that can be recycled in the UK by up to 25%. With the changes in place contact lens recycling is now being offered in numerous opticians across the country.
While we appreciate there have been changes in this recycling scheme, this redesign aims at offering the opportunity for more opticians to join the programme, as well as offering a more convenient waste management.
Rest assured that your feedback has been passed to our brand partner and we eagerly wish to provide you with the best services. We will contact you separately to discuss a solution.
Kindly - The Zero Waste Box team.
The box is VERY expensive
The box is VERY expensive. It’s good to avoid putting plastics into the general waste, but this box is very expensive and many people would not be able to or want to pay for this. I don’t know if I’ll purchase another, because it’s so costly. The box itself is a box.

I love the TerraCycle waste boxes
I love the TerraCycle waste boxes. It may look an expensive solution initially, but when you work out cost per recycled item, the price suddenly seem very reasonable. Thank you for being there and allowing us to recycle all those items that, to their shame, local councils will not touch.

Thank you for your review, we're happy to hear you find our service easy to use!
Your pre-paid return label should be attached to the back of the box. Once full, you can send the box back to us by organising a collection online or by calling UPS. If you run into any difficulty, please don't hesitate to get in contact with customersupport@terracycle.co.uk

Worth It
Expensive, but worth supporting to recycle waste which otherwise would not be recycled. The more people that support the boxes, the more cost efficient I hope it will become. Anyone who can afford to do this should do. Get your business to buy them! Every effort helps…

The boxes arrive really swiftly
The boxes arrive really swiftly, but as yet I haven't found an easy way to get them back to you when full. I expect it's my own fault as I've tried to take them to a shop which is a collection point, but they are awkward to get into my car and there's no parking

Vastaus yritykseltä Zero Waste Box
Thank you for sharing your experience using Zero Waste Box! We're sorry to hear the box collection didn't go as smoothly as planned.
For future reference, your Zero Waste Box can be collected from any location (for example your home or office). You can either organise the collection by calling UPS or online, with the prepaid shipping label that is fixed at the back of the box. UPS then collects the box the following working day.
We'll send you a separate email with our Zero Waste Box User Guide, which explains everything in detail :)
Have a wonderful day - The Zero Waste Box team.
