This is a terrible company to deal with. I have been a 35 year long customer (small business) that is retiring. Have tried to cancel my YP services last November 2025. They are still charging my visa 10 months later, for September 2026. Unable to get a hold of my customer service rep either by phone or email despite multiple attempts. Left with having to cancel my visa to stop this recurring charge. Brutal!

Excellent customer service. I believe that now I have much more info and tools to improve my ads for my hypnosis services and my clinic.

Yellowpages is the worst advertising spend I've ever done.
They doxxed me by including my home address and phone number in my listing rather than my business listing when requested, and when I attempted to cancel the service after experiencing that (and the resultant increase in spam content), they told me they'd be unable to cancel my contract without staying for the entire year.

I decided to therefore make the best of it and got an entire custom phone number to give for all the yellowpages listings I had (and all of their 'networked' listings), and that number has rung literally zero times in the entire year this series of listings has been active, even after the retention team supposedly increased my reach to 3 or 4 other geographical areas 'free of charge and in light of all the problems I had suffered'.

Hilariously terribly, I'm literally on hold with them attempting to cancel yet again. I called them on June 3, 2026 to cancel my service and *again* was met with the 'you have to ride out your entire year' of the contract, speaking to a customer service agent named Shane.

What disgusting lack of flexibility and customer service; even 6 months in, it was absolutely clear that the service was garbage and not providing me a single lead or hit.

The timer is now rolling over to 25 minutes I've been on hold here, waiting, as my contract is held hostage, listening to the furious arpeggios of their on hold piano concerto music. This experience has been literally the worst of any of my other B2B services that I use to run my business. I have no qualms in saying STAY AWAY from yellowpages in every single regard if you want to keep your money, your sanity, and your blood pressure lowered. I wouldn't wish this on my enemies or my competition. It's literally that bad. Stay away for the sake of your business, your wallet, and your sanity. I would have hoped for better from a Canadian company, but with policies like these, even a 'Buy Canadian' company deserves to go out of business.

They sweet talk you and you feel bad and say whatever it’s just 30 or 40 bucks a month no big deal then they hit you with a 700$ bill which obviously I’m not paying but just so you guys know they will try and scam you don’t accidentally do pre authorized payment’s because they push for that and they’ll charge you 600$+ on top of what they initially said! And don’t even try cancelling once you join them they don’t let you if if they somehow do let you just expect 500 calls a day from different phone numbers.

I can’t say much about their services, but their marketing agents/salespeople clearly can’t take “not interested” for an answer and won’t stop bothering/calling you. That alone was enough to earn them a 1-star review from me.

⭐ Very Disappointing Experience – Poor Value for Money

I am extremely disappointed with my experience with Yellow Pages.

We paid for their advertising service for a significant period, expecting to receive genuine exposure, enquiries and meaningful support. Unfortunately, despite many attempts to contact them, raise our concerns and get the service working effectively, we saw very little to no meaningful benefit from what we were paying for.

We repeatedly tried to get assistance and explain our concerns, but the experience left us feeling that the priority was taking the monthly payment rather than delivering a service that provided genuine value to our business.

For us, paying month after month for advertising that did not deliver the results we expected was extremely frustrating and a complete waste of valuable business money.

After this experience, I would not recommend Yellow Pages to other business owners. I strongly suggest businesses carefully consider the actual value and results they are getting before committing to an advertising agreement.

We have now cancelled the service, and I am sharing this review because other businesses should have the opportunity to make an informed decision before spending their hard-earned money.

Really need to write a second review anout how terrible Yellow Pages is. First and foremost - you can be assured that they are NOT using your money for internal developments. Their Business customer portal is down 24/7 and if there is a slight payment discrepancy they will shut down everything and demand you start fresh!! Seriously guys, use any other provider. These guys are crooks.

My yellow pages ad stopped generating leads from the beginning of this year, I spoke to them about this issue and their supervisor said that he would close the account as per my request, and that he would refund two months worth of payment immediately.
So far that is a broken promise even after a second phone call to remind them of what was promised to me, of course "the supervisor was not available".
On top of all that, they took another payment out of my account.
Then I receive an email saying that they tried to contact me to see how they can help. ? There are no miss calls or emails received from them until this point.

Should i Seek legal advice ?

Yellow Pages has been instrumental in boosting my new landscaping company's Google search rankings. The YP value / ROI has been tremendous, especially in the early days; seeing Albion Grassroots rank highly amoung landscaping companies locally.
Especially, the consultancy provided by YP consultant Wayne. He is a true small business consultant, taking the time to provide expertise - honing in on both the fundamentals and latest trends. I would give 0 stars if I could. Small business owners BEWARE. Do not bother signing an advertising contract with Yellow Pages, or any contracts at all.

I had been a customer for several years. My advertising originally cost approximately $330/month for a years’ contract, and was later negotiated to a reduced $220/month when I attempted to cancel. As I continued feel that the service was not generating enough traffic or sales to justify the cost, as well as I am now winding down my small business, I contacted Yellow Pages specifically to CANCEL my advertising.

During my phone call, I explained repeatedly that I did not want a different package or additional services. I wanted to cancel because my business was losing money and I could no longer justify this expense.

I was told that my contract had automatically renewed because I had missed the 45-day cancellation window before renewal and that I was now locked in for another year. I specifically asked whether there was any other way to cancel and was told there was not. Instead, I was offered a reduced rate of approximately $126/month for the remainder of another year.

At this point I was extremely upset and crying on the phone. I was polite. I explained that these were NOT the terms I had agreed to in my phone conversation I had when negotiating the contract. The Customer Service agent told me that these were the terms, and I was locked in with no way around it, which I had believed her at that point. I explained that i am a small business owner, that the business is being wound down, and that continuing to pay for advertising that was not benefiting me was a significant financial burden. The representative expressed sympathy and told me she was sorry, but continued to tell me that reducing the monthly payment was essentially the best option available. That she had to really push for me to get it at the new rate she was offering.

I reluctantly agreed to listen to the terms of the proposed change. Thankfully, I listened very carefully.

While the representative was reading the terms, I heard a clause stating that after renewal, the agreement could be cancelled with three months’ notice.

I stopped her and asked whether these were the same terms and conditions that applied to my existing contract. She tells me that she will double check, puts me on hold 2 to 3 times when I pressed on the same question. Eventually I was told yes. I then asked the obvious question: if those terms apply to my current contract, am I able to cancel my existing agreement by providing three months’ notice?

It took me repeated attempts, asking and clarifying this question before I finally received confirmation that YES, I could.

This was an option that had not been disclosed to me when I initially asked to cancel. In fact, I had specifically been told there was no other way around the renewed contract.

Once I insisted on exercising the three-month cancellation clause, my cancellation was processed immediately. Within approximately a minute, I received an email with a confirmation number stating that my contract would terminate.

I cannot speak to what the representative knew or did not know before I discovered this clause myself. It does raise suspicion, and with the tone of the conversation changing and the hesitancy to give a direct answer, I lost complete trust. What I can say is that I called asking to cancel, was told I could not cancel and was locked in for another year, was offered a reduced monthly rate instead, and only discovered my ability to cancel with three months’ notice because I happened to hear the clause while the terms were being read to me when they tried to lock me into yet another contract.

This experience completely destroyed my trust in Yellow Pages. I chose the Yellow Pages because I believed they were trustworthy, being a household company that we all know of. I couldn’t have been more wrong.

My advice to other small business owners is simple: do not rely solely on what you are told over the phone. Avoid any business dealings with them all together.

Had I not listened carefully and questioned what I heard, I believe I would have walked away from that call paying for another year of advertising that I had explicitly called to cancel.

I am extremely disappointed with how my cancellation request was handled, and based on my experience, I would not recommend Yellow Pages to anyone.

Absolutely the worst company ever. DO NOT SPEND one dime on this company. Their service representatives will promise you the world then everything falls through. Then you cancel and just out of the blue they will start charging you again. Today everything is Google so save your money.

Great experience with yellowpages over the phone; Wayne was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, gave me useful information and informed me about what services YP offers that would best serve my business in it's infancy. Thanks for the help!

Terrible; they will not leave you alone. When they can't make a sale or sell you a monthly plan, they email you to try to convince you. They don't know what the difference is between Active marketing and Passive marketing. Active marketing is running campaigns to get leads into your business so you can get paid. Passive marketing is what they will try to sell you. Google Ads get in front of those who are searching. How many people are searching for your business, who know? For $500, you would get 70-300 clicks on your website- not filling out a form, not inquiring, just clicking- which equals passive marketing. Businesses need business and clients and Yellow Pages don't understand that, they want your money that's it.

My experince with the onboarding was quick and simple with a lot of information to learn how to use the system and to connect all social media.
