The Yankee Candle Company Arvostelua 270

I paid $20 for 2nd day delivery on Monday. It's Saturday and still not delivered. They'll never get my money again.

Every time Yankee Candle changes ownership their candles deteriorate more and more. Now are to the point where they seriously are not worth the money. One day they have a product and the next thing you know is it has been discontinued. The scents that remain are weak and really not worth the money. Even Walmart shoppers aren't particularly interested in them. No longer a premium brand but now an inferior brand. Time to hit the internet and find a truly quality product.

After over forty years of buying Yankee Candles I have found that the quality has deteriorated to below average meaning that a dollar store candle throws a better scent. I have given the so called new and improved formula a chance and to put it nicely THEY SUCK!!! Charging $36 for a candle that you can't even smell is highway robbery. I will never waste my money on another of the new crap Yankee Candles! The company that now owns Yankee Candle is Newell Brands. The Ceo Christopher Peterson and his money grubbing staff should be ashamed at how they have disgraced the Yankee Candle name!! They obviously don't care about the products they distribute as long as they get the money!! DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!!

Horrible customer service.
I placed an on line order for pickup. When I drove to the store (not close to my home) I was informed I could not complete the pickup because their POS System was done and would me for an additional 4 days. When I called Yankee Candle Customer Service number I was told they could not process a return until I physically returned the item. Since I could not return an item I could not pick up, I was told I HAD TO wait 7 days and the item would be credited AFTER the 7 days.
To be blunt. They have my money and my merchandise and refuse to refuse to take the appropriate action.
This is not The Yankee Candle that I remember when I lived in Massachusetts. I will never buy YC in the future

This is what I recently wrote to Yankee Candle:
I have become dissatisfied with Yankee Candles jar candles.
I have used your candles for years; both at the holidays and in between.
This is the second time I have had the experience of the candle not lasting as long as it did in the past. The Autumn Wreath candle wicks kept going out when there was still approximately more than an inch to the bottom; the previous one was a summer scent, a Christmas scent and the same issue presented itself. In looking at the wick, I'm not sure if you are using a shorter wick or if the metal piece is higher now. Either way, I'm not getting the value for my money as I have come to expect. During the holidays, one of my guests noticed that the candle had stopped burning and indicated she noticed the same thing with her jar candles from Yankee Candle. She now purchases a different brand, located not too far from your main store/village. I have purchased mine from a variety of locations, even the village in Deerfield. I am disappointed in the quality of(or lack of quality) from a product I have come to expect to be of a higher quality. This issue of a poorer quality of product has caused you to lose two customers; I can only imagine that you have lost more. I will no longer recommend Yankee Candle to my friends/family. I, too, will be purchasing a different brand. I'm sorry that you have reached this point.

Their response was to send them photos of:
"· The front label
· The inside of the candle (wick from above and side)
· The pictogram label on the underside of the jar
· Proof of purchase (if order number is not available)
For documentation purposes, at least one image should include the case reference number 50489399 and be clearly visible in the photograph alongside the item, handwritten on a piece of paper.
Once I have received the requested details, I would be happy to look further into this matter."

I replied that I no longer had the candle, that I had discarded it and their curt response was:
" I am sorry to hear you have already thrown away the candle. Unfortunately, without pictographic evidence, I am unable to assist you further. "

Poor quality candles and poor customer service.

My first purchase of a yankee candle and I’m not happy with it. You can’t even smell it when it’s burning. The scent being sugared cinnamon apple. For the price of it I expected for it to smell more. I’ve had $13 candles that have put off a stronger scent.

They reduced the scent! It’s pretty sad when you light a big candle and it doesn’t smell. I have tried multiple scents and they are all the same. I wont buy anymore and my friends say the same. I’ll stick with Bath n Body. I’ve never had a candle from there that I didn’t like and they are much cheaper. Goodbye Yankee!

Yankee Candle has always been the standard that had a recipe that was a mystery that all candlemakers tried to duplicate. Not sure what happened but BOO to the new McIntosh. Once a favorite that was hard to find now just disappointing on all levels. Scent - 1, Burn - 1, black soot - 5, tunneling - 5. If your goal was to ruin one of the best candles if not the best then congratulations. We are going to try our second favorite, Sage & Citrus and if it also creates the Black Death effect (heavy soot) we will be done with Yankee.

I will never purchase Yankee Candles again! Absolutely no scent. Tunneling even with burning for several hours as recommended. I might be able to understand that if I had extinguished it after a short amount of time. Of course I don’t have my receipt, after months, to follow through on a request for refund. Never again!

I have recently tried the YC was melt. They are deficient in emitting the scent and it last only 1-2 hours. The wax melts and candles are not worth the high prices - don't buy!

Something changed, I have been buying yankee candles for decades. They made the house smell warm and welcoming, but things have changed. Yankee candle ups the price even more but there is little to no smell, I know what it should smell like after burning for an hour or two but can’t smell anything unless I go right up to it. Granted they do not have the tunneling problem like being but you buy them so your house has that nice warm smell. Looking somewhere else.

Ich habe die Kerze an Weihnachten geschenkt bekommen. Angezündet, und nach ein paar Stunden mußte ich mich schneuzen. Das Taschentuch war schwarz, als ob meine Nase ein Auspuff wäre. Die Kerze rußt ohne Ende. Da kauf ich mir lieber eine billige beim Discounter, da gibts keine Probleme. Und nein, die Kerze steht nicht im Luftzug, sondern normal aufm Wohnzimmertisch. Yankee Kerze - teures Produkt, sehr schlechte Qualität. Sogar geschenkt ist noch zu teuer.

Nicht mal einen Stern Wert.
Der Kundenservice hatte mir wegen mängeln an einer Kerze, eine Kerze zur Auswahl angeboten. Hatte auxh einen link zur Auswahl bekommen und meinen Wunsch angegeben.
Immernoch Keine Ware erhalten . Auf 4 Emails, wo meine Kerze bleibt, wird nicht mehr reagiert. Bin total entsetzt.

Every year I buy a large Cinnamon Stick Yankee Candle to burn over the Festive period. This year's large candle has reduced in weight from 623g to 567g, and now has 2, instead of 1 wick. The result was it burnt out much faster than in previous years. Ended up having to buy a candle from Next, much cheaper and lasted longer. Won't buy from Yankee Candle again as it's not good value now.

I’m not sure what has happened to Yankee Candle but they have hardly any smell while burning anymore. Something in the formula has been changed. I can buy a cheap candle and it’s just as good as Yankee now. I have 3 burning right now and hardly any smell at all. Guess I’m done with Yankee. They used to be good🤷‍♂️

I purchase this candle for years and LOVE then . I Will not buy a candle from Yankee ever again. Reason why is because I Will not continúe paying for worthless candles
They don't smell at all. I got 2 large jars of the 1 Christmas pine scents the other of Bálsam and Cedar din't smell also I got the box of 6 small candle at Sam Club and nothing I will definately not purchase any again not worth the money

I ordered a deal for Christmas that was buy two jar candles get two free. It was the medium-sized jar candles, so they were only around $12 a piece, but I ordered them only because of the deal. After ordering I received an email saying that part of my order had to be canceled. It was the two free candles. Although I did not pay for them, I feel like it was very misleading to advertise a buy two get two then back out after the transaction is completed. Very pissed just because of the seemingly intentional deception. 😡
