MICROTEL INN WYNDHAM LONG ISLAND

The day we arrived we discovered that the room I wanted to book wasn’t the one that we had at the end on the reservation.
So Due to there was a misunderstanding with Agoda and after calling them the hotel agreed to change our room to a double bed room and they told us that it would be a possibility of being change on the 15 th to a one bed room, but if this would happened they will let us know about it .

Today, (15th ) no one told us anything about it
Even not the night before that
Not even a call
NOTHING.

What a SURPRISE that when we arrived to the hotel at night I discovered that they had charged me an EXTRA 100 DOLLARS without even telling me that this might happened if we decided not to change the room.

What a funny situation when I told them why they didn’t call me to let me know and they said :

“ we called you multiple times today and nobody answered”

What a funny answer for them when I asked them to have a look on my cell phone number at their system and I discovered that THEY DIDNT HAVE IT .

It is really convenient for them NOT TO AWARE OF THE CONSEQUENCES at first.

How funny that this isn’t LEGAL !!!!!!

Apparently this decision was made by BRYAN ALVAREZ (General Manager ) who decided that he was in his rights to take my MONEY without informed me first.

In addition to this ISSUE I have to make clear that it were US the ones who went to reception asking if everything was in order regarding this situation.

On the other hand,If we haven’t gone to reception once we arrived they WOULD NOT EVEN TOLD US ANYTHING.
And you suppose to give a good service and call yourself professional .

Also, and just to let you know that we didn’t make any complain about having our room in front of a very LOUD construction work that Started everyday around 5:30 am .

Or let’s not talk about THE RATS that there are around the hotel , very CUTE If you like them.

So let me ask you ask you know ...

WHAT WOULD YOU DO ?

I stayed 3 nights at the Super8 in Arcata, California. The price was great. $60+ tax per night on Expedia. com. The room was soooooo big. The bed was comfy. There was a big dresser for my things, a microwave, mini-fridge, coffee maker with the fixings, hair dryer and bath tub! All included in the price, PLUS an extraordinary continental breakfast. I had waffles every morning. Staff was great; not nosey, not rude, and they made sure all the food was replenished when getting low on an item. Coffee, bananas, yogurt, etc. I'm used to motels that put the breakfast out once, then when it's gone, it's gone. Not here, you show up anytime from 6:30-9:30am, breakfast is served😁 I plan on going back soon...

Super 8 I'm assuming by Wyndham the location off of Mckinney And Plano some of the things you should look for ...

They ask u how many people in the room like as if they don't believe you

HOtel staff screaming and talking on the phones in the hallways can't get no sleep

Smells and rooms are dirty

Baymont by Wyndham in Bartonsville PA terrible staff lied & staff rude to me as client. When I made the reservations for my stay, the web site stated $121/night. Informed them I had a pet. I was never informed of the following: a) rate varies according to what night of week it is; b) central reservation can NOT add on pet fee/night. This is done @ hotel upon check in. c) Even though nightly fee varied according to night of week, there was no change in room or even breakfast choices. The one gentleman @ check in stated he would notify General Manager of my dispute, he never did. In AM when I asked re: General manager, the woman @ desk became very rude & irrate. I had to inform her to cease as I heard her first time. Then upon check out, I received a yet 3rd statement. I was informed that the "safe fee" was deducted. Once again I was never Informed of a "safe fee". Over all very disappointed. Staff rude & lied!

Nice rooms - avarage, but the restaurant is poor and dirty. Service is poor, and for breakfast, the scrambled eggs are made from egg powder, bacon is fried in a microwave oven and the soft-boiled eggs are hard-cooked. All in all, the breakfast is a disappointing experience.

Rooms along with area located are unacceptable. I book the room was quoted one price but charged another. I was told room would be $51.98 plus tax would total $59.42 and for 2 nights the total would be $118.84 but when I looked at my charge on my credit card it was $146.26. Meaning I was charged an additional $27.42. I spoke with Ziomara at front desk when I booked the room for my homeless son and a (3)year old. Everyone seemed honest until I got a bill then everyone I spoke with act like they didn't understand. This country has become so crooked but I guess it starts from the top. Most people you deal with now try to get over on you. I only spent 30 years in the military for this kind of treatment. No morals whatsoever.

The hotel walls are very thin and you will be able to hear conversations in the next room very clear and also any other noises, moans and groans going on. If you know what I mean. Very disappointed and will not stay there again.

i stay at several and really never had an issue from wilkes barre pa to phila pa...great shuttle at all times even red eye flights..rooms are basic and have breakfast ..very plain but efficient and never had an issue with staff...need a waffle maker though lol

Unfortunately, I am writing to say that I was disappointed with this hotel (Baymont Hotel & Suits at 347 Zimalcrest Drive). After a long trip from San Francisco, California to Columbia, South Carolina my son and I were given a room with used sheets first hand. We asked for an alternative but it was even worst, the bed sheet was disgusting with its stain. My son needed to go back for the third time to ask for different room. We were given a suit, however we discovered bug moving around us.
I wont recommend this hotel for any one. Stay a way from this hotel please

In April we stayed two nights at Hawthorn Suites, Jacksonville. – Unfortunately, it will be our last stay at a Wyndham resort. We booked and paid our stay at Expedia, but the hotel also charged our Visa. Since April 19th I have been trying to get help from Customer Care to get the extra charged money back, but without any luck. I get some very strange answers, when I ask to get our money back – the best was, that I had to solve it with our own financial institute?! And now I have given up writing to custumer care :(
Dear Hawthorn, we would have considered to stay some nights at one of your places at our trip next summer – but I guess that won’t happen ☹

A review has to be honest in my opinion. However, I really love to write a good review. That was my original purpose for posting reviews and I’m sure it was the reason many of you do as well. It’s a great site to share our experiences and practice our prose and creative scribing in the process. When my experience is good it’s a joy to share it. The review practically writes itself because all the warm, fuzzy, positive energies flow much better than the negative. But then, I have to screw it all up by staying at another, disappointing Super 8 Motel. Of course this isn’t the first time I’ve had a “less than” stay at this brand as I’ve indicated in previous reviews. However, I believe everyone deserves a do-over, a chance at redemption, but again this chain of didn’t step up to the plate. Again they fumbled and again, they seem to care less. In this case, maybe it’s because The Remington, IN, S8 is in such a remote location there’s an absence of any real competition. Not even the Motel across from them as they had extensive construction trash so no one was staying there. In a non-smoking room many hotels will charge a cleaning fee and rightly so. So, why do I still smell cigarette smoke as well as other odors when I arrive? Even though I’m just staying the night, I might use the toilet, could I have toilet paper without having to go to the front desk and get it? By the way, I’m certainly not shy about asking especially if there’s other guest around to hear me. Anyway, with most of the hotel/motels I’ve stayed at, they’re consistently good with occasional problems. S8 is just the opposite, So, I’m done with them. It’s just too depressing and rather boring to give the same reviews about these guys. Oh well, I guess that’s the mental burden of honesty.

P.S. Bring spare batteries for the TV remote. Make sure the cable works as well.

They tried to change the price once we got there and did charge us at the raised rate! After a week of arguing they fixed it, but no thanks

Booked one of their hotels with them. Had a confirmation e-mail with confirmation number, price, etc. The staff and the manager blankly refused to honor it! The impression was that they had gotten other customers who were willing to pay more...

When we called their customer service, they said that it was not their problem.

They didn't try to help find an alternative.

Really bad experience. Go elsewhere.
