Winsor & Newton Arvostelua 

A free gift with the purchase of watercolour paper was promised, but not provided. They ignored a message I sent. It may not be important in the overall scheme of things but I resent being taken advantage of, and I resent rudeness. It seems I am not the only one who has had this happen to them - see recent reviews.
A formerly good company seems to be heading downhill, fast. Shame. I will not be buying from them again.

It is a pity I am not able to put a '0' score, or '-10' for winsor&newton Retouching Varnish. NEVER EVER BUY THIS HORRIBLE PRODUCT - it will destroy your hard work in seconds. This varnish covers a painting with a nasty tacky/sticky layer that is IMPOSSIBLE TO REMOVE. I tried everything I could find in the internet and even asked a professional restorator if it is possible to remove the nasty thing from a painting. And the verdict was NO, it is impossible to get rid of it, the painting after covering it with the Winsor&Newton Retouching Varnish is ruined. Period. You cannot remove it, you cannot to repaint over it because it NEVER dries, and you cannot do anything about it. So, a few months of your hard work are totally and ruthlessly destroyed by Winsor&Newton horrible product, and you can do nothing about it. They just lying promising you that after using Retouching Varnish your painting will look fresh and ready for exhibition as a temporary coat. It is INTENTIONAL MISLEADING. FORGET ABOUT YOUR PAINTING BEING EVER READY FOR ANY EXHIBITION AFTER USING THIS NASTY VARNISH. I will never buy any of W&N products again. This is the least we can do, avoid this 'maker'.

Saw the ‘free with every purchase’ postcard promotion, followed the link to purchase watercolours. No postcard arrived.

Marketing team hasn’t explained how to access the free postcards, which they likely should have linked to.

Customer service seems almost none existent and posting comments on the instagram does seem to get them to publicly appear as they are dealing with it by saying the DM you… but ask for order numbers you’ve already stated then don’t reply at all. It’s been days … nothing.

Really disappointing and really embarrassing for whoever’s put the effort into this exhibition.

Molto soddisfatto con la qualità dei colori e la composizione dei tubetti. Sono così belli anche solo a guardarli. Complimenti per il design! Il pacchetto di consegna è stato fatto anche molto bene. Ricevuto nei tempi previsti ( 6 giorni più o meno ) Ho fatto un acquisto superiore a 150 euro quindi ho ricevuto un 25% di sconto in più. Che dire qualità e prezzo si pagano! Complimenti !

Scotland pays more for delivery charge!

I want to place an order, and the delivery charge was £7.25, rather than the £4.99 for mainland UK. When I queried this, I was told that Scotland changes are higher - despite me living in Edinburgh which I thought was mainland UK! Discrimination?

Elendig... Nej faktisk totalt fraværende service.
Man kan ikke få nogen form for forbindelse, gad vide, hvor mange andre, som mig, der forgæves har siddet og forsøgt at klikke på links der ikke findes. Men det er da bare ok. Når ikke jeg kan få info om hvad det betyder, at deres produkter hedder noget andet end de plejer, så finder jeg da bare anden løsning, og skifter til andet mærke. Som alle de andre anmeldere her.

Ordrered two packs of the same brushes. Received the wrong brushes. No response to THREE email requests over the following week to send the correct brushes and initiate their return process. Then just asked for a refund after I had to buy (without any problem!) the required brushes from Jacksons. Absolutely NO response to any email - and, of course! no telephone contact number. Not good enough.

Made an order and had completely conflicting emails and messages between W&N and their courier firm.
So frustrating… especially as the W&N email is a classic ‘no reply’ email!!!
So I have to login, navigate the labyrinth that is their website to find how to actually contact them, and then get automatically sent to the courier’s website… absolutely awful!
Terrible service!
Why do firms like this think this it’s acceptable to treat their customers with such contempt?

I placed an order via the Winsor & Newton website and was delighted to see it was due to arrive today, I made a point of being home to receive the order which was being provided by a company called Colart using DPD as their delivery company.

An hour window of delivery was provided so I made sure I was sat in the front of the house with a view of our drive/the road outside and with the window open (it's a hot day but it also meant I could hear anyone who drove onto or walked up the driveway)

And then I received a text from DPD advising my parcel will be delivered the following day at my 'nearest' shop 'as no one was in today'

At the same time an email arrived from Colart saying 'sorry we missed you'

Absolute tosh that you or DPD are sorry, nobody attempted a delivery and I'm being inconvenienced because clearly your customers don't matter.

Winsor & Newton are a company I've held in high esteem as a quality supplier of art materials since my art school days 40 years ago, they were the brand my father used and recommended to me... as father and son we've been using Winsor and Newton products for a combined 80 years... their parent company Colart are doing Winsor & Newton and their customers a complete disservice

If this matter isn't resolved I won't be using Winsor & Newton or any other Colart company again, not that I imagine that matters to them or DPD

I have been a loyal user of Winsor & Newton products for years, but my recent experience with their Galeria Acrylics has been extremely disappointing. After using the paints, I experienced a severe chemical burn that lasted a week—something I’ve never encountered with other acrylic brands, including Winsor & Newton’s Professional Acrylic range.

I stored the paints correctly and used them as intended, yet when I reported the issue, their customer support refused to take responsibility, simply stating that their tests showed no issue. Their only advice was to "wear gloves," which is not standard practice for acrylic paints. To make matters worse, they refused to offer any resolution because I purchased from a retailer rather than directly from them.

A company of this reputation should take product safety concerns seriously, rather than deflecting blame onto customers. Disappointing experience—I will be reconsidering future purchases.

j’ai acheté les 24 feutres promaker winsor & newton ( d’une valeur de 74,90€ ) quand même !!!!
tout ça pour que ce soit des feutres qui quand vous coloriez ben en fait vous faites un trait/point de 3mm, et il finit par s’agrandir de 1cm😁😁😁 la couleur bave !!! toutes, extrêmement déçue

Qualità ma poco ordine,
Ho ordinato 15 tubetti di colore ad olio per rifornire il mio cassetto.
Nonostante abbia fatto un ordine abbastanza grande da più di 100 euro hanno chiuso tutto in una scatola minuscola e sono arrivati tutti schiacciati.
Non grava certo sulla qualità ma se i tubetti si sono rovinati alla chiusura io non me ne posso accorgere e potrebbero seccarsi, inoltre non estraendo il prodotto nella maniera corretta c’è uno spreco.

Plenty of pigment. Works pretty well on a range of watercolor papers. Very expressive.

I can understand quality demands price, and of course W&N make high quality sets but I believe there should be a budget set for beginner artists. Otherwise, all good.

Order took 11 days for the order to arrive after paying £5 for 2-4 day delivery. I emailed to find out when I could expect delivery it is was a gift. No response just a dispatch email the same day.
Won't be ordering again, will just buy from somewhere else.

Molte aziende faticano a capire un concetto semplicissimo:
Io, acquirente, posso dirmi dispiaciuto di quello che è successo.
Tu, venditore/produttore, devi trovare una soluzione per rimediare all'errore.

Purtroppo anche Winsor & Newton è nel giro delle aziende che si dicono dispiaciute e basta.

Ho acquistato un set di colori da regalare a un amico e mi sono accorto che purtroppo la confezione stessa era difettosa. Questo ha comportato i prevedibili disagi tra cui il dover acquistare un regalo più modesto perché il budget era già stato usato per il set.

Quando si fanno dei regali di scelgono brand di prestigio proprio per godere di una certa tranquillità e andare a colpo sicuro. Indubbiamente, dopo questa esperienza, il prestigio di Winsor & Newton è macchiato.
