My family received a cookie gift basket from my father for Christmas. The cookies were impersonally wrapped with uniform packaging with the word ACORN on it. We tried a few of the cookies. The chocolate/chocolate chip cookie had a strange after taste and the raspberry cake smelled strongly and was virtually tasteless. Despite their 100% satisfaction guarantee, the customer service manager I spoke with could only credit my dad's account 20% of the purchase price of $60 or $12. My father purchased 10 of these baskets for family members this year for Christmas but he will no longer be a customer of Wine Country next year.

Absolutely the worst crap ever! Nothing was edible in the whole basket and I'm not exaggerating. We opened each box and tasted, gagged and threw out. The best was some cookies that literally had no taste! I just don't understand why anyone would send this to someone other than they have never tasted any of it and it's just a simple click to order. Horrible.

My parents paid for a gift basket and then received message that it was not available and the had to accept a replacement immediately to make christmas shipping. Replacement was half the price they paid. No response to request to upgrade basket or refund outstanding amount. Unhappy. Going to tell them not to use this company again.

All of the chocolates were partially melted and the rest tasted old and stale, like way past expiration date. Lindor assorted chocolate truffles were all melted and leaking out of wrappers. Pretzels were old and stale smell and tasted horrible.

I have received many gift baskets from this company from a friend of mine. They are complete garbage. ( I don't have the heart to tell him so i'm going to send him one to show him). Firstly, don't be fooled by the photos. All of their baskets are filled to the top with cardboard first, so if your getting a huge basket like I did Christmas time, it looks like there is a lot of stuff in it, but there isn't, it is filled with tiny packages of crap that are not worth the money spent. You can get much more value elsewhere. Not here.

Basket product was rancid. Company was informed of the problem and never responded. There was no request for refund. Unfortunately, this was a holiday gift in need of a return.

I was charged $27 extra for shipping to get a Christmas gift sent on time and it did not get there! What a rip off.

We receive these wine gifts from a family member every year. We’ve tried several varieties. It’s the worst wine …undrinkable. Like vinegar. We’re not picky or wine snobs by any means. I’d say we’re occasional wine drinkers at best. All of the bottles go down the drain. A complete waste! They’re too bad to re-gift. I hate that for our family member who buys every Christmas! know the baskets aren’t cheap but what you get definitely is!

I have ordered from this company for years. I ordered over $300 in gifts, for which I was charged on my debit card. I noticed two days later that I was charged an additional $52. When I called the company, the representative told me that there was nothing she could do, and that I needed to call my bank. She advised that since it was a pending charge, it would fall off a few days later. This statement indicates that they routinely make unauthorized charges for no apparent reason. I advised the clerk that this was fraudulent behavior since nowhere in the website does it state that customers would be overcharged for any reason. BEWARE!

I have ordered thousands of dollars in gift baskets over the years. The decline in customer service is palpable. Rude and inept. I referred a friend to order 3 large wine baskets listed as free shipping. Called customer service to assist. Absolutely clueless and not helpful so our Companies are now customers of another wine and gift Company. EPIC FAILURE

Great customer service! I provided the incorrect address for a delivery and it was returned to them. They asked me for a correct address and shipped it back out the same day at no charge! All my other baskets arrived on time and in perfect condition.

Tried to simply order a gift basket for a client.
It was called a "Deck The Halls" basket.
This should not have be difficult.
Terrible customer service unfortunately.
They are poorly trained on the product line.
English is not their primary language skillset.
Confused about current catalog offerings.
Supervisor didn't even have a let's see how we can help you attitude.
Run away....

My experience was a totally worthless customer service. They will not answer any of your questions and just keep rambling about everything else but what you have asked. Delivery problems. Made unscheduled attempts. Did not fix the issue. Had email and phone contact. Never again!!!

This company sells nothing but junk in pretty boxes. Do not send this as a gift. The company does not enable recipients of this junk to review the product on their website. How many gift recipients are willing to tell the gift giver how they were sold an expensive cardboard box filled with garbage????

Totally disappointed and embarrassed when the item was delivered to my friend, and I happened to be there when she opened it.

I have a fraudulent charge on my American Express card. When I contacted the customer service number, which is what American Express recommended to do, the rep told me that there was nothing that he could do, and to contact American Express instead. This charge is from May 9, for $163.95. I do not have an order number nor would the customer service rep assist with one. I find his reply to be appalling. I don't consider this to be customer service at all.

I didn't even finalize my order. After reading here I'm so happy. Now I feel their scam bit them in the nose haha. They show free shipping on some baskets, so I chose one. Then after filling out all my info and the recipient's info they ask what day you want to ship, and any day you choose has a delivery price from $10-30! SO I figured, I might as well choose a basket with better content or more stuff with their standard $15 shipping, but guess what, on top of that there's still that other additional charge for shipping depending on what day you choose! what a scam! These people are even making money on the shipping! wow! ugly.

My sentiments replicate some of the reviews on here. Mediocre wine, chocolates are great but the individual cookies and other items are not something I would ever buy individually. I think the company needs to do a better job at selecting what vendors products they use in their baskets. I have received very large and expensive baskets from colleagues but throw most of the stuff away. I wish people would stop sending me these 😞 I hate to waste.

We got this for a Christmas gift and the contents besides the chocolates (Ghiradelli and Lindor) were pretty much worthless. I knew the wine was cheap and was making a recipe that called for red wine, so I had a taste before I added it then threw the rest out. There are boxed wines better that this. The contents were samples of things that probably can't sell elsewhere. I had a taste of each thing and then threw the rest away one by one. I did eat the artichokes and I haven't opened the olives. The problem with this is, how do I tell the person who sent this that it was terrible. I think that is what these companies count on is that you are too polite to say.

So I ordered from this company and but not only did it take 6 days for the wine to get there but when there was no one there 21 or older to sign for product, instead of calling recipient they left. No phone call to the person that bought or the recipient. It was a Friday. I called customer service and they said not till Monday now. I will never use this company again. This was supposed to be a huge suprise and it was ruined. They won't even make things right. This is complete BS coming from a Veteran as well. This was completely unacceptable and even the girl I talked to on phone was not trying to help. I'm so upset and disgusted with this company right now. My thought. Better off with a better logistical company that takes care of you for what you pay for.
