A Game-Changer for Voice Professionals!
Now I am the part of voices.com I've been using Voices.com for over a year now, and it has completely transformed my career in voice-over. The platform is intuitive, the support team is responsive, and the quality of clients is consistently high. Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned pro, Voices.com gives you access to a wide variety of projects—from commercials and audiobooks to e-learning and animation.
One of the standout features is the smart audition system, which makes it easy to showcase your skills and get noticed. The project management tools and secure payment system also give peace of mind, especially when working with international clients.
Most importantly, Voices.com values both the talent and the clients equally. I've built long-term relationships with great brands through this platform. If you're serious about voice work, Voices.com is absolutely worth the investment.
Highly recommended!

I landed my first job within just a few weeks of joining the platform, which was exciting! However, I do wish audition access was a bit less restrictive. Since I don’t have the premium membership, I only receive opportunities through private invitations. So far, I’ve been invited to two projects, but I can’t help wondering how many more I’m missing out on simply because I can’t invest in the upgrade right now. That said, I truly love the platform! It’s easy to navigate, beginner-friendly, and has quickly become my favorite place to build my voice acting journey.

surcharge
I believe that charging an annual fee plus 20% for each job is an abusive surcharge.

Hello Roberto,
Thank you for your feedback. We’re sorry you feel this way regarding our Platform Fee.
We announced changes to the Platform Fee across a variety of customer-facing channels in early September prior to the changes coming into effect in October.
We’ve also updated our Talent Membership page to reflect the change to the Platform Fee, we’ve updated our How it Works page for clients to outline the new Processing Fee, and we’ve made changes to our Terms of Service, our FAQ articles (Platform Fee, Processing Fee), and provided on-platform explanations and resources for both clients and talent to explain the fees themselves.
To be clear, for talent this change means that in addition to talent membership fees (with the exception of our free Guest membership), the 20% Platform Fee would shift from being charged to clients when hiring talent, to talent when auditioning for jobs (calculated against the amount they quote to the client).
Additionally, as referenced earlier, we introduced a 3% Processing Fee that would be charged to clients when hiring talent or making additional payments on our platform. This means that approximately 23% of each transaction on our platform is paid to Voices.com, which is consistent with other online talent marketplaces.
Both clients and talent see these fees when hiring talent and responding to jobs, respectively. For an example of how these fees are calculated in more detail, we encourage you to review our Platform Fee FAQ article and this Q&A blog post.
One way to offset the impact of this change is by increasing your client quote. We've done the research and found that clients are willing to pay more for quality talent, and historical data shows that clients frequently go over their original budget. Most jobs at Voices are won by talent who quote above the midpoint of a budget range or higher.
We again appreciate your feedback and hope that you will give this change some time so that you will be able to experience the long-term benefits.
We wish you nothing but continued success.
Great service, great voice actors, so-so website
I really like the service, and I love my voice actor. I just wish rehiring him over and over again didn't require me to create an audition. I already know he's who I'm hiring, and that could be easier.

Thank you for your kind words and valuable feedback!
We're glad to hear you love your voice actor and our service. Just to let you know, Voices actually offers an option to decide whether an audition is required or not when rehiring the same talent.
On the last page of the job form you have the option to select if an audition is required or not.
This way, you can skip the audition process if you already know who you want to work with. If you need any help using this feature, feel free to reach out—we’re happy to assist.

Fake auditions. Better off on your own. Don't waste your money
I think Voices.com provides a good introductory platform for new voice actors, however, it's really become the Amazon of voice overs, so it's difficult to stand out. Also, it would appear that many of the "auditions" are fake and it's hard validate any of the Voices.com client requests. In many cases, if you don't upload your audition in 20 minutes of an posted audition, it's highly likely your audition won't even be heard by the prospective client. Consider this, for every audition, there are 100's of voice actor responses. Do you really think prospective clients are going to filter through more than 100 auditions? Not likely. Hence, I won't be renewing this subscription for many reasons. You're likely better off doing your own website, contracts, marketing and sales via other channels.

Horrible system
Horrible system. Wont let you edit the job posting without recreating a new listing with the old one still has talent in there you want. Once you hire someone if it is bad there is no recourse. Wasted money.

Thank you for your feedback. We’re sorry to hear about your experience and appreciate the opportunity to clarify.
The reason the job had to be reposted is that the client made changes to the job details that directly impact our VoiceMatch™ algorithm. This system uses the information in the job description to accurately match Talent whose profiles share the same characteristics.
To maintain the integrity of this matching process and ensure the best fit, a new posting was necessary. You always have the option to send a private invite to any Talent you're interested in working with.
Additionally, we have thoroughly reviewed the Talent’s audition submission and the final delivered files. We can confirm that they were submitted by the same individual, ensuring consistency in the work delivered.
In the future, if you encounter any issues or require support, our team is always here to help. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to us at support@voices.com, and we’ll be happy to assist you.

Professional and User-Friendly Platform for Voice Talents

Unpaid Work and Lack of Communication – Very Disappointing
I completed a voice-over project for Voice in December, providing several hours of recorded audio for an AI-related task. Although my work was approved, I’m still waiting to be paid—over four months later.
The communication throughout this process has been frustratingly poor. Despite multiple follow-ups, I’ve yet to receive a clear update or firm payment date. Promises have been made but not kept, which feels unprofessional, especially considering I delivered everything on time and as requested.

Hi Jonas,
Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We sincerely apologize that it has taken this amount of time for you to be paid. It took much longer than we anticipated for the end client to approve the files on their end.
We've now confirmed with our team that payment has been released to you by check (on May 30). Again, we thank you for your patience. Please let us know if there are any further issues.

$500 for no chances?! DON'T DO IT!
A legitimate company would NOT ask a voice talent to pay $500 just to be in the running for finding voice work, and then get a percentage of the pay ON TOP OF THAT! And when I DID pay the membership, 95% of the auditions were for British or Black voice actors, and the other 5% had dozens, if not hundreds of auditioners that already answered the audition. Forget about voices.com; there is NO LOGIC IN IT!

Hey William.
Thank you very much for your feedback.
We do have different membership levels geared towards voice actors at different stages in their careers. Premium is often a better fit for professional voice actors and the Guest membership is more suited for the aspiring voice actor just starting out. This does mean that sometimes a job that appears to be a good fit might be one you’re not able to reply to, and we understand that can be disappointing. We encourage you to get that assistance from customer service in order to fill in your profile completely and upload your demo.
As a business, we do charge a 20% platform fee to talent (calculated against their client-facing quote) and a 3% or 5% processing fee to clients depending on the client’s payment method (calculated against their job’s total cost pre-tax).
We make the platform fee clear to talent when they are responding to jobs or selling their projects, and the processing fee clear to clients when they are hiring talent.
Talent are able to adjust their quote when responding to jobs to see what their take-home earnings would be, and we show right there, based on the talent quote, the amount that the client will pay. We also show in this same spot what the platform fee would amount to, so that the talent has all the information.
We encourage talent to always quote what they feel is fair for the work involved. Our goal is to provide the highest possible value to both our clients and our talent to make the fees worthwhile. That being said, we continue to look at pricing and the ways we can improve this element of the customer experience.
The Job Agreement reflects the total amount the client will pay, as well as details about the job, and this agreement is signed off on by both parties before the talent begins work. This is a contract and it protects both the client and the talent.
Payments are then held in SurePay until the talent completes the work, and then payment is released to the talent. Talent are pleased to have this taken care of for them, so they can focus on auditioning and booking jobs.
We encourage talent to diversify their income streams and offer Voices as one tool—there will be those who find it’s all they need and those who wish to use Voices in addition to other platforms or other opportunities they seek out on their own. Everything comes with a cost of money or time. Our goal is to connect clients with the best talent, and talent with the best job opportunities. Reviews and feedback from our customers tell us we’re doing this well.
Thanks again for reaching out and sharing your thoughts. We wish you all the best in your voice over career.
