Okay so where do I start?
I purchased a distance vehicle, a Peugeot 208 GTI KU16 DLZ from Vision Motors Direct Ltd in Leeds on 18th March 2025. Within a couple of days I had a service light on and within two weeks I had the Engine Block light on which indicated a serious defect. I contacted them and was instructed to get a garage diagnosis to find out the issue all at my expense. Once done, I was told as I did not purchase an extended vehicle insurance policy I would have to recover the car back to Leeds for repair at own cost which I did, They have since never returned my vehicle and have come up with every excuse under the sun to prevent me getting it back. It is now almost 12 Months that they have kept my vehicle and I am still taxing and insuring it! They have provided 3 Courtesy cars, three of which have been clamped due to no Tax causing further stress. I just took another call this evening where they are saying it needs another part! The aftercare sales guy is called Jack and they want to put me in another courtesy car, a forth courtesy car, which I have said no to. I still have no car except a pile of crap Nissan they gave me which they have now sold to someone! The place is a joke and now I have to go to court for a small claims after they also ignored a LBA from a Solicitor - NEVER, EVER buy a vehicle from these muppets, Mark

In July, I made the regrettable choice of purchasing a car. Just a week in, it began emitting smoke everywhere. I returned it to the dealership, and they promised repairs, providing us with a courtesy vehicle. Unfortunately, that car was untaxed, leading to a run-in with law enforcement. When my husband contacted the dealership to resolve this, they dismissed our concerns, suggesting we dismiss the police.After three weeks, our original car was returned, still unfixed. Deciding to handle the repairs ourselves, we realized the dealership was incapable of honesty. We didn't want the car stuck with them for weeks again with no results.Recently, the check engine light activated, displaying numerous error codes. Now, the top radiator hose has failed, revealing a hidden engine weld and a concealed blown head gasket. Steer clear of this company to avoid financial waste. I regret not checking reviews prior to purchasing.

If the rating system went lower than 1, I would do that. The most unprofessional company i've ever been associated with. Sold a car that they must have known to be faulty (as there were countless faults from 30 mins after driving away)

Claimed to have serviced the car the day before collection yet had no oil in the next day, tyre pressure was also so low a warning came on.

Replied to emails about trying to reject the vehicle in a manner that was almost laughable, so unprofessional, riddled with spelling errors and slang terms, was like dealing with argumentative, uneducated children.

Refused rejection of the vehicle and have deliberately dragged their heels with the process to the point the finance company have now agreed to recover the vehicle.

Avoid emails until it suits them and lie from one conversation to the next.

Please do not get a car from here !!!

My daughter collected her car today from Jake, she couldn’t be happier, once again a really smooth process and she was made to feel so special. That’s 2 cars our family have have had from these guys and would really recommend. Thanks again

I would also like to say that 2 days after buying the vehicle, Jack arranged for the to be dropped off at my house which was a really great help as I was unable to get to the garage. Thanks once again .

Would never buy a car from this place ever again nor would I recommend them had nothing but trouble with the car since I bought it then I take it back to get repaired and they say it's fixed but haven't touched it.would never buy a car from this place.

Unprofessional, Avoidant, and Totally Silent on a Major Engine Issue

I purchased a vehicle that almost immediately displayed a major, inherent engine issue (undisclosed at the point of sale). While the fault itself is bad, the dealer’s subsequent conduct has been appalling.
I have spent months attempting to resolve this, sending dozens of communications (over 50 emails), yet the dealer has consistently failed to provide a substantive, professional response. They have failed to honour the written guarantee they provided for a permanent fix and their unprofessional silence has left me with no choice but to pursue the matter through the courts. If you expect any form of accountability or reliable communication after purchase, look elsewhere

Left a £100 deposit on a Qashqai LR64 FHY on sunday and was told it would be ready for me to drive away on Thursday, When i arrived on Thursday there was NO MOT on the car, i told them i didnt want it because the engine was making a rattling sound and another person come over and said he was "so sorry he forgot to mention" it needed the timing chain fixed,
i told them i wanted my deposit back and JAKE checked my credit card and told me the refund would be done in the morning,
Its Monday now and ive just been told theres no record of my deposit being returned so i dont know how long this is going to go on for...

Update, The manager called me and refunded my deposit

Bought a car in July, worst decision ever

week later it started bellowing smoke everywhere so took it back to which they said they’d get it fixed, gave us a courtesy car to which I got pulled in for no tax, when my husband rang them to sort it they wasn’t bothered and told us to tell the police to do one

3 weeks later we got our car back, nothing had been fixed so we decided to pay for it ourselves as there incompetent of telling the truth we didn’t want to send the car back for them to have it weeks again and do nothing with it

Few weeks back the engine light come on and it was bringing all sorts of codes up.

Now the top radiator hose is broke, it now shows that’s it had an engine weld to hide a blown head gasket.

Avoid this company at all cost, you’re just wasting money. Wish I’d of read the reviews before buying

I bought a Ford Kuga July last year and ever since I bought the vehicle it’s had engine management light on and the car goes into limp mode. I have been to the garage 6 times and been fobbed off every time . The first time they turned the light off and it run for a couple of days and then came back on. I have found in the car a returns form from the previous owner who had the car for 6 months and sent it back for the same issue. The car shouldn’t have been sold as retail it was meant to be sold as repairs only. After speaking to the garage and informed them of this returns form they then was asking me to take the car back I have been back a few time and they done the same thing turned light off and light comes back on car goes in limp mode. They sent an auto electrician out who spent 1 hour on the car hiding codes and the car still wasn’t running right. Finally I spoke to someone called jack which I would say needs to learn customer services skill as he is rude, arrogant and doesn’t want to help in any way. They took my car for 1 week I drove 3 hours there to drop my car off and was told they would make sure the issue is fixed before me picking the car up and 2 days later they rang saying car is ready and it’s fine for me to pick up. I had already spoken to my personal mechanic at this point who advices me to check other parts of the car of what could be causing the engine light to be on and the DPF fail. Jack proceeded to get his back up saying my car was ready finally he agreed to keep the car for another couple of days to make sure the car was fine and then Friday he called at 6:30pm and was rude telling me my car has been ready for days and I need to collect I asked if he has completed the work I advised and he said yes the car is running perfectly. I then travelled 3 hours again to collect my car and it look liked it hasn’t moved and no one had been in my car I drove it home and a few days later again light on again and the car is still to this day the same in limp mode and engine management light is still on. Every time I have been to that garage Jack is no where to be seen but acts like a big man on the phone. I have had to go through the finance company to get this sorted and had engineers out to look at the car and they have stated the car shouldn’t have been sold to me in this condition and the garage is at fault but the garage has provided fake invoices on what they have done to the car which I have been asking for a year and haven’t had anything sent through. Please do not use this garage when buying a car they don’t care about the customers and are money oriented and all the cars are what they buy from auction that need mechanical repairs but sell them at great conditions cars and stupid amounts. Please be careful when using this garage. If I could give Half a star I would they are con me and cow boys once they have the money for the cars they don’t wanna know!!!

When I reserve the vehicle , they said I can get my reservation money back any time , if I don't like the vehicle. I didn't view the vehicle and I dec6not to hold the reservation so I canceled the reservation and ask them to pay my money back. It's been more than 2 weeks now, I haven't received my money back and proper response.

I recently bought a Citroen Grand Picasso from Rob who was patient and very helpful. I was introduced to Jack who oversaw some of the negotiations and again was very helpful, understanding and flexible .We were delighted with "The Deal" and couldn't be happier with value for money and the manner in which we were treated.
As to be expected with any used car after a few days a few niggling faults were obvious to me. I contacted Jack who readily agreed to sort them out and arranged for me to come after the weekend. We were given a very nice 7 seater automatic Courtesy car( I am disabled and need automatic) as we need 7 seats like the car we bought. Nothing was too much trouble for Jack and He really made us feel valued.
Through no fault of Jack or Vision Motors there was a delay in waiting for a small and unusual but necessary part for the stop start.Jack and the team really pulled out all stops and searched until it was found ,arranged a courier to collect the part and got me back in my car quicker than I would have had they not gone over and above the norm. We had travelled from our home in the Lake District to collect our car, unfortunately the Courtesy car was dirty after really bad weather and because Jack got our car ready sooner than expected I wasn't able to clean it.
Embarrassingly our car had been fully valeted and filled with a full tank of diesel.As a 77 years old Pensioner I was extremely grateful for this very kind and caring gesture.
My wife and I have never had after sales service of this quality anywhere ,ever.
Jack is kind,caring and empathetic and his colleagues that we dealt with similar.
Overall we have had an outstanding Buying Experience We couldn't recommend Vision Motors more highly.
I know that normally bad news is more likely to be Reviewed Than Good News that is why I wanted to Thank Jack and his Company for treating us with such kindness.I will be happy to relate my experience of this outstanding customer service with anyone who wants to contact me. Well Done Jack 10 star service as far as I am concerned.

SCAMMING CON ARTISTS. Been chasing a refund of £100 for ages now and although that may not be a lot to some, it’s still our money! Been told a different story every time we have called from it’s been processed and will be with you soon , oh we don’t have your details and finally that they don’t have details of ever getting our money. Every single one of the staff in cahoots with each other to scam people. I will not stop until we have our money back in our account.

We bought a car almost 11 mths ago but it wasn’t ready we veiwed the car which was in garage compound just up the estate .it was a mini countryman And were told it was waiting a few repairs . So we were given a cortessey car . After a few weeks we phoned up and were told it was a problem with the engine and it needed a new one . Another few weeks phoned again were told that the engine they put in wasn’t right so they would fit a brand new one . We started to get impatient phoned up Roy he said the car would be ready . He was the dodgy salesman who was full of promises . Also a chap called jack . He told us to collect the car . We did and went to collect car within 2 weeks it broke down had rac out to it they said it was egr valve . Phoned garage took it up to be fixed had a phone call after a week to say it was ready so we collected it again . On way home it shut down again had rac out again towed it home . Same problem . Egr particulate filter .phoned vision motors jack he said can we get it to there depot which we did he said they would fix it again . After about 2 weeks it was ready to collect . We went up there again was told by jack that it was sorted . It run for one day broke down again rac out again . This time we had it towed by rac to. Bml garage at the Wirral they had a look at car said there was a problem wit egr and particulate filter. While it was in there they noticed a water leak which was water pump also noticed a bodged water hose . The car is still in the garage . We have been told that vision motors have been useing parts not compatible with the engine they put. This is costing a considerable amount of money and loss of a car which we are paying for . It has been off the road now beyond a joke. I have tried contacting jack and Roy at vision motors . Jack won’t answer me Roy did said he didn’t work there anymore .
Be Carefull of vision motors they are full of shit and customer service non existent unless your buying a car . Beware of vision motors full stop . Hopefully we will get car back which is in a different garage

I bought from a garage for peace of mind. In hindsight I should have bought from the auction and saved myself a lot of time and money. Warranty hasn’t been the safety net I thought it would be and within 4 months the car needed 2 shocks, 2 wishbones and a new spring. Can only assume the car was never checked properly before selling on after they obtained it from auction. A resolution was attempted and the garage provided 4 out of the 5 parts and I was to pay labour, this entailed a 3 hour round trip to collect to be told by garage they were the wrong parts.
In addition to this the clutch looks to need work because it sticks on and needs lifting up with my foot. It’s been bled but if that doesn’t work that also is something else that needs fixing. Just overall not a great experience, looked forward to getting a new car and honestly wish I hadn’t bothered.

Please do not buy a car from this place.
We bought a car a few months ago and within a day the engine light came on.
We sent the car back and it was a nightmare for almost three weeks. They had the car and kept fobbing us off as to when we could collect it.
They constantly lie and try to intimidate you. Jack will become incredibly rude and dismissive when you challenge him.
It got to a point that I brought another person with me to intimidate them back and cause a scene - this seemed to get them to do what I’d asked of them in the first place.
It seems this place only respond to you fight fire with fire.
I’ve spent upwards of £800 fixing my car as I will not let Vision Motors take it to fix it as I do not trust them in the slightest.
I know we have gotten off really lightly in comparison to others.
There is a Facebook page and Google reviews that I wish I had of seen before purchasing our car.
When I picked my car up for the final time after they had had it for 3 weeks, there were three other families in there complaining and asking for refunds. They will try and quote legalities to you, they’re talking rubbish. Vision Motors skirt around the law.
They’re not affiliated with the Motor Ombudsman nor the AA, so you can take them with you before checking out a car - that should tell you all you need to know.
They will also ask you to do a review on here as soon as you’ve bought your car, wait a few weeks and then do it.
Please, do not buy from this place - we got lucky a lot of other people have not been so lucky.

Update - Deposit returned after about 3 months.

The Golf Match 1.6TDI DSG we liked wasn’t on site, so we paid a £100 refundable deposit so the car wouldn’t be sold and would be prepared. We arranged to go back 3 days later with the view of buying it there and then if it was ok. Car not there when we arrived (very annoyed as we are not local). They didn’t know we were coming as the salesman had gone home sick and told no-one. New salesman said he would take over the sale and get the car there in the next day or two, he rang on day three saying it was having a new gearbox, getting concerned so I did an online check it came back as having outstanding finance, at which point I cancelled (10 days and not seen the car yet) - I have now spent over 2 weeks asking for my refundable deposit back, I’m still waiting, and after reading some 1* reviews about the withholding of refundable deposits, I have started a chargeback with my bank.

I rang Liam at Vision to ask about a car. I explained I was quite a distance away. He recommended I paid a reserve and verbally reassured me it was protected and fully refundable if I changed my mind. Thereafter I decided on another vehicle closer to home, so requested a refund, only to be told that I'd not met the requirements for a refund and they'd incurred costs. I emailed them to say these terms are in breach of the distance selling consumer act laws. They've chosen to ignore me. Hoping I would give up. They purposely word their sales patter so they can later say, they told you "you had to see the car in person, to get your refund" Non of this is true nor legal. I will continue to post reviews and contact Trading Standards until they rectify their terms and refund me. Be careful if you are asked to hand over money.

This company’s a fkn joke, bought a blue Mokka off them kept me waiting & waiting to in the end said I would get it today, Just phoned to tell me it would take another 3 weeks after waiting over 3 weeks already, Won’t tell me what’s wrong with the car and just keep lieing about it.
I should of read the reviews, stupid me, So now it’s time that this company pays customers back, I’m going to take action, reporting to trading standards and work on getting there FOC Licences Revoked, & I won’t rest until they are shut down.
Excuse after excuse & promises after promises, BEWARE & KeEP Well Away From Vision Motors LTD Haydock & Leeds.
