Stay clear of Urthbox! I ordered (based on a birthday gift certificate) their protein box, which on their website states high protein snacks and no added sugars. When the box arrived, every single item, with one exception, had more added sugars per snack then protein. When I emailed them to see what happened, they asked me to send photos of the snacks included, which I did. A month went by with very little feedback from them, and then they sent my second box (I had a 3 month gift). The 2nd box arrived, and the same thing, more added sugars than protein. I emailed them again and asked what happened, and so far, no response. Their customer service is absolutely one of the worst I've ever dealt with. Stay clear of Urthbox and don't waste your time or money.

This subscription box is highly disappointing.

Yes they send the boxes as scheduled and on time, and yes it does have the amount or sometimes a little more in whichever box you get...but it's things like 6 individual packets of dried prunes, random small packages they threw in the complete the box with just a few significant items.

I was sent the same products in my first and second boxes. I reached out to customer service about it assuming they would send new products, but was told that happens sometimes. The website says new products are sent monthly which is the whole reason why I signed up for a subscription. I’ll be cancelling due to false advertising and poor customer service.

I was gifted a 6-month subscription of the gluten free Urthbox. Packing is done well as others have mentioned; everything is packed nicely and I've never received anything crushed. The first couple of boxes were great and had a variety of items in the boxes, boxes that came after that were rinse and repeat. I consistently received the same items each month with little variety from previous boxes. Each month almost all products had expiration dates within a month of receipt. My last box had several items that already expired in addition to two items of the same product that stated may contain traces of wheat (gluten), which I will not eat considering I'm gluten intolerant, hence the gluten free boxes. Although I have enjoyed several snacks that I've received, I ended up giving or throwing at least half away. Overall, my experience started well but went south quickly. I would not purchase the Urthbox on my own and cannot recommend it for anyone going forward.

I cancelled my subscription with plenty of time to stop another delivery to my elderly mother. They indicated that they would try but never replied when I asked for an update. Poor customer service and little response to my request and just make excuses say our subscription is spelled out in the original details and they failed to reply on this and other questions that I had. sent me a screenshot to justify their position and did not satisfy me as a client/customer.

This has been an incredibly frustrating experience. I wanted a 3 month subscription for my daughter as a Christmas gift. I had NO idea that there’s no such thing; once you order, you’re locked in forever. I am now 6 months past the original order and I’ve contacted their customer service 3 times to cancel as well as reported fraud on my credit card but they keep shipping every month. Additionally, my daughter has since moved from the address on file so it’s being delivered to strangers. My daughter is a huge foodie so I normally give these types of gifts and was hoping I’d found another option to add to my list but I will NEVER ORDER FROM OR RECOMMEND URTHBOX AGAIN! I honestly can’t remember the last time I had such a completely futile customer service experience.

Portions are well thought out. Enough to enjoy, not enough to go overboard. Fits daily routine without extra thinking.

Overall, this subscription feels trustworthy. From communication to product quality, everything works the way it should, and that’s rare these days.

I received my 2nd box with the exact same items in it as the previous box, same item count as well from those items. I am disappointed as there were items I did not like in the 1st box and was hoping for variety and options, but did not receive any or ANYTHING different. Poor product thoughtfulness. I've called and emailed 2x and not yet a response.

When I don’t know what to buy for someone, this has become my reliable solution. The presentation feels thoughtful and well designed, and the surprise element adds excitement. It’s a gift that feels personal and unique without requiring hours of research or guesswork on my part.

There’s a certain exclusivity in the selection. You won’t find these snacks everywhere, and that adds value.

Emails feel informative rather than pushy. Updates are helpful and respectful.

Billing dates, delivery timing, and communication are all clearly structured and easy to understand. I appreciate receiving reminders and updates that prevent any confusion or unexpected charges. That reliability builds trust over time and makes the entire subscription feel transparent and professionally managed.
