Uninist Arvostelua 2

Took my girlfriend and we arrived in Oxford for a short stay for a placement here in Oxford, on arrival she had no room assigned. Uninist had taken payment back in November and never informed Almero (room providers). They do not have an out of hour emergency line to call or speak to anyone, and no way of proving to reception that they had paid them after we’ve paid them.

Shocking, many reviews like this on google. Stay away, go direct and book with Almero instead!

STUDENT ACCOMMATION IN MANCHESTER

We booked our daughter’s room at 100 Blackfriars Road Manchestrer on the basis that the apartment would be girls only. Shortly after the girls moved in a slightly older man moved in. The girls in the apartment are now very very uncomfortable – and of course that could be traumatic if any of the girls had unfortunate experiences in the past and thus specifically needed female only accommodation.

As I write this the man has been there two weeks and nothing has been despite several phone calls and numerous emails.

When you do reach Uninist they will appear concerned and promise to “elevate” or “speak with someone” but nothing will actually happen. In our most recent phone call we conducted a test – giving them some very specific information (in this case the room the man was living in) made sure they had understood it, then later in the call asked them to recall the same information. They couldn’t – had clearly taken no notes because they had to attention of taking any action. It would appear my email address is blocked – we also tested this using another email address.

As it stands the man is still there (in clear breach of the agreement) and two of the girls are actually spending nights away to avoid the situation and all uncomfortable while there.

Worth noting the same accommodation can be booked through Homes for Students who actually manage the building but have no control over Uninist’s behavior.

The accommodation is fine - Uninist are not.

They don't care and will do nothing to resolve any problems you might encounter.

It's not the way you want your son or daughter to begin on their university journey...
