We have used TourByLocals 3 times and each experience has been fantastic. The guides share their expertise, local knowledge, and passion which allows us to see "more" and gain a deeper understanding of a community. So worth the money. We will use them again on a future adventure.

Our guide Marco was so personable and knowledgeable. We were a party of 6 and he connected with each person. The van was clean and our stops along the Amalfi Coast was truly beautiful. I would go again tomorrow if it were possible!

Benjamin was everything I could hope for and more! I truly appreciate his knowledge of the area, his safety, and his kindness. Truly a one of a kind host. I’m a woman traveling alone but with Benajmin it felt like we were old friends. I can’t recommend him enough. My arrival was delayed and there were problems with my phone so I couldn’t get in contact. He stayed at the hotel and waited for me when he could have left. I really appreciate everything his hospitality.

What I posted in my prior review pretty much summed it up. I don’t want to type all that in again.

We had a great tour and Denny was a knowledgeable guide who adjusted the tour after what we wanted to see and do.

Great day in Hangzhou. Tour delivered as promised. Our guide was Moon, a colleague of Forrest G. Moon was knowledgeable, very engaging, spoke perfect English and gave plenty of background colour to the things we saw, … so a perfect host. We met Forrest later - he is a good guy too, with more insights and pretty good English too. Strongly recommended.

My son and I booked a 7-hour city your with Nani. It was the best décision I made during our staying in Buenos Aires. Nani is a very nice person, very knowledgeable an competent. We discovered the most interesting places in BA in a pleasant and efficient way. We learned from a real porteño the history of the country and of the city, we visited unusual places, we moved as locals. We could have hardly learnt one tenth of what we learned in the same time. He was a huge source of knowledge and gave us plenty of suggestions for our spare time including good addresses. The experience was really very very good.

Dean is an expert tour guide and so very knowledgeable about everything Bermuda. I would highly recommend him!

An extremely knowledgeable and interesting guide!

Our Tokyo Highlights Tour with Hideki K. was wonderful and even exceeded our expectations. He brought us to many different parts of the city and explained a lot about Japanese culture. We had fun experiencing many customs first-hand. Touring Tokyo with Hideki was a highlight of our travels in Japan.

The experience was great because of the knowledge and character of our guide. We were enlightened by his energy and insight into Japanese Culture and history.

Kyoto is lovely and Tours by Locals made a difference!

Elpida was an amazing storyteller. She brought the Minoan civilization to life and we really enjoyed her tour of museum and of the palace. One of the best tours we have ever taken

This was my first time using Tours by Locals and I can say I was very impressed. The ease of booking and the communication that followed was spot on. Silvia, our guide communicated in advance, was on time and truly a spectacular guide. She remembered our preferences, and gave a an incredible tour of Paris, seeing locations and neighborhoods that I would never have seen on my own, along with great history and tips for the rest of our trip...she was simply fantastic! I am a seasoned traveler and always have done my own research and self toured many cities, so I was a bit hesitant to hire a guide, but my friends recommended it after a trip to Scotland. I intentionally booked this tour on day 2 of of our 5 day trip to help get the lay of the land and it was the BEST thing I could have done, as the remainder of our stay was so much easier now that I knew where to go and what I wanted to re-visit in detail, along with other general tips about seeing and experiencing Paris. Thank you Silvia, you truly made our trip extra special!!!!!!!!

Adam was a fabulous tour guide. He had great nuggets/fun facts to share throughout. He provided a nice mix of history and current affairs along with both the good and dark sides of Charleston's past. We went on another city tour last year and I thought that guide was great but Adam blew him out of the water! Highly recommend. Great storyteller.
