Synthetic fabric towel designed to be wetted and draped over the neck or face to enhance evaporative cooling in arid environments. The Cooling Towel is water activated and uses evaporation to draw water away from the body. The Towel performs the role of an artificial temperature regulator during periods of intense heat or activity when your body requires additional support to cool itself. Used effectively, a cooling towel can help lower body temperatures to a manageable degree and mitigate symptoms associated with heatstroke and exhaustion. To use, simply soak the Towel in water for two to three minutes and wring out before applying to the head or neck. Depending on local conditions, the Towel should stay cool for up to an hour and in that time can reduce the surface temperature of your skin drastically by way of evaporative cooling.

Does what it says, good quality, useful to have. I’ve used this for myself, wrapped around head, but also take on long dog walks during the summer just in case I need to cool my boy down.

The Micro Cooling Towel, is what it says it is. Can be folded up to fit in your pocket. Once wet, it holds it’s cool, for a very long time. I ran it under a cold tap on a Monday morning, didn’t re-soak it until Wednesday midday. Item comes with a branded loop on one corner & a small Black Union Jack, on the other end, on same edge as loop, is a small black rectangle with the Thrudark brand mark & symbol, & on the back of this is the washing advice. Size is amazing, approximately; One metre in length, 30 centimetres in width. Item can either be used like a normal towel, or using the loop, it can be worn like a tie round your neck, place over shoulders, put one end through the loop, don’t pull too tight, & use the loose end to wipe & cool off your face, neck, & head.

Used this as a cooling scarf while I walked 13 miles in a drysuit in aid of the RNLI on a 24°c day 6 hours, kept it wet and it kept my neck nice a cool, 100% recommend for them long hikes.
